Legit if Bethesda wants to get a shit ton of Money they will make Fallout New Vegas Remastered just imagine Fallout New Vegas but it looks better it looks more crisp more like the level of Detail and graphic Fidelity of Fallout 76 with better character models

What are your loadouts for Honest Hearts with its 75lb limit? Modded content etc welcome.

    Posted: 14 Jan 2020 09:46 AM PST

This DLC requires you to be carrying less than 75Wg to start it, and I think choosing the stuff to take with you is at that point in the game is really interesting. You can tell a lot about a player or their character from these choices. Feel free to answer with whatever your favorite answer is, including if you're using mods or passing the speech check with the other pip boy guy to carry more equipment or anything else that might change the scope of the question a little, should only make it more interesting.

I'm doing a hardcore mode playthrough in the vanilla game (world 0 as I call it) right now, haven't modded this installation at all yet so only stock items and stats. I'm going to ignore weightless items since you can just bring all of them and all they tell you is what you've found while making the list way longer.

All the items with weight (including ammo since it's hardcore mode) that I'm about to bring with me on this playthrough:

    Weapons:

    • Gauss Rifle purchased from Brotherhood immediately before quest, strongest weapon owned by far, skill requirement way above my character's but yolo
    • Dynamite (2)
    • Frag Mine (2)
    • Frag Grenade (1)
    • Plasma Grenade (1)
    • Pulse Grenade (1)

    Apparel:

    • Brotherhood T-51b Power Armor at full repair, trained for use immediately before quest
    • T-51b Power Helmet
    • Vault 34 Jumpsuit
    • Wasteland Doctor Fatigues
    • Chained Prostitute Outfit

    Aid:

    • Brahmin Steak (1)
    • Broc Flower (3) - super low weight 0.01 each, wish I had more
    • Coyote Tobacco Chew (1)
    • Doctor's Bag (1)
    • Healing Powder (1)
    • Pinyon Nuts (2)
    • Prickly Pear Fruit (11) - super helpful with the weight to nutrition ratio, made up a bit for not having more Broc Flowers
    • Purified Water (2)
    • Stealth Boy (1)
    • Weapon Repair Kit (1)

    Misc:

    • Caravan Deck
    • Howitzer Firing Mechanism - my character thinks she'll randomly come across some great use for this so she's holding off on using it for Caesar
    • Lead (169)
    • Vault 13 Canteen

    Ammo:

    • x48 Microfusion Cell for the primary weapon
    • x9 .22LR
    • x5 .308
    • x6 .357 Magnum
    • x6 .44 Magnum
    • x8 10mm
    • x7 9mm
    • x4 12 Gauge
    • x4 12 Gauge, Magnum
    • x4 12 Gauge, Slug
    • x6 20 Gauge
    • x10 5.56mm
    • x10 5.56mm Armor Piercing
    • x16 5mm
    • x10 Electron Charge Pack
    • x7 Energy Cell

Tried to bring lots of food for the caravan trip and spare ammo for random pickup weapons.

Even though it's a weightless item, I should also mention that I'm using a Ranger Hat to save a pound on carrying a hat because I always like to carry a hat on pretty much all my characters while this character did not want to sacrifice her Howitzer Firing Mechanism for a more stylish 1-pound hat.

Anyone else getting into this DLC on a playthrough around now and want to share their loadout? While answering I suggest spoiler tags so anyone new to the DLCs finding this thread while searching for tips can avoid spoilers.

EDIT - Immediately after posting this I used the Strong Back speech check I had forgotten about to get another 25lb added to the limit. Whoops! Going back to Lucky 38 to reconfigure, will edit again. My bad.

EDIT 2 - Added more food and drink, 2 more Doctor's Bags, a Naughty Nightwear (dat +10 speech and +1 luck), a Vault Lab Uniform, a Vault 3 Utility Jumpsuit, Nephi's Golf Driver, my Sturdy Caravan Shotgun, a .44 Magnum revolver, a Laser RCW and more ammo all around.

That said, can somebody help me with downloading mods? I don't know how to do so for New Vegas.

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 04:57 PM PST

I dont explore vaults that much but the only radroach I remember seeing was on the way to Primm from Goodsprings.

While aiming with scoped rifle, the aiming is terrible and it never stops moving

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 06:01 PM PST

Hard to explain, but the crosshair just keeps moving and moving... and they are not subtle moves, making it impossible to take a shot right. I don't know what's going on, I have perception at 7, and my head is not crippled.

While crouched and standing still it also happens

    2 Questions About BOS Questline

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 04:55 PM PST

Hi, I haven't played fnv in a while, but I was trying to figure out a way to do the BOS questline while also keeping black mountain radio active. On the wiki for Black Mountain radio, it says this:

"In fact, even if you make peace with Tabitha by repairing Rhonda, the station still does not go away unless you enter the room [Tabithas control room]. The station will also cease broadcasting anything other than static if you activate the tranceiver that's located in the radar dish hut (near the trunk with the minigun), no matter what choice you make after activating it."

So, can I complete "Eyesight to the blind" (the one where you put the transmitter on in the broadcasting station) without removing Black Mountain radio? I forgot if the control room is a separate location. Additionally, I was considering doing the alternate BOS quest ("Tend To Your Business"), but according to the wiki I dont get access to the Hidden Valley bunker armory if I do that. What's the deal with the armory? The wiki was sort of vague, mentioning that you can get a gatling laser from it.

    Is Dead Money too scary?

I have some cardiac problems so I would like to know before going further if this dlc is as scary as I have heard in order to avoid it, thank you in advance!
