| Why are there so many Super Mutants living in Far Harbor? Posted: 12 Jan 2020 08:46 AM PST Seems weird. It's so far away from the rest of civilization, it makes sense that the place would be filled with giant monsters, highly militarized religious nuts, and a small group of people that only live there because they were born there or are hiding from something. But how and why did so many super mutants come to inhabit the island? They have holdouts in multiple buildings and wander the island. They're also incredibly strong. I think they have more overlords and butchers on the Island than any other settlement of Muties. Is there lore for how they came to the Island or does the player just need something to shoot at? Where do the super mutants get their FEV serum to mutate more mutants? It's repetitively explained that super mutants are sterile, and they only make more mutants by capturing humans and infecting them with the FEV, but where do they get the materials to infect humans? I would assume the only place with a stock of FEV would be in California where the Master lived. If that is the case, how are there even mutants on the east coast? Did the mutants bring it with them, or find more along the way? [link] [comments] |
