    Heartaches by the Number by Guy Mitchell is my top played of 2019 song on Spotify. The only reason I would ever listen to that song is Fallout New Vegas. New Vegas has some good music.

    House Isn't a Libertarian

    House isn't really a libertarian, he's more of a city-state hyper capitalist. Modern examples are Hong Kong, Singapore, Quatar and in some ways even Vegas (which is officially incorporated). Historical examples include Venice, Athens and at its birth: Rome. These places have strict regulations, you're not even allowed to chew gum in singapore, Dubai has terrible women's rights and Venice passed regulations entirely for the benefit of a few merchant families. His vision of perfection involves not robots to secure everyone's liberties but to secure his perfect vision of a world. His ideal Vegas is like a snowglobe: beauty that's locked, static in time.

    His actions in the post-game make this clear:

    • In one ending he destroys the kings in an attempt to expand his area of control. Libertarians have all been anti-war, no matter how much they've supported the Republican party.

    • He will "make it run on time too" (this can't be anything but a direct reference to Mausollini).

    • According to the post game slides he runs vegas with a "despotic vision of old world glory"; nothing can give us a greater idea of his true intentions than his actions as given to us by canon, its straight from the developers. Even if we consider the author dead, this is within the text.

    • He heavily taxes Primm and monitors Goodsprings. Libertarians are directly opposed to any taxation or survaillence ("Taxation is theft", "No taxation without representation").

    • Even Arcade is "saddened at the loss of liberty in the area", the loss of LIBERTY: The word libertarian comes directly from it.

    So why do his actions in game lead people to conclude that he is a libertarian? First would be his respect for treaties, which I feel would be within his interests given the NCR would like all the political capital they can get. Secondly he talks about how private business is more efficent than the NCR due to the profit motive, but government subsidised private business is something libertarians oppose due to the contracts usually being monopolising, corrupt and favouring large businesses.

    Overall House does little to prove he's libertarian, all he does that is libertarian is respect contracts. Libertarian doesn't mean "capitalist but more", its a set of politics, ethics and social theory (mainly praxeology).

    Vanessa Alternative Race

    I have the Vanessa companion mod and trying to make a new character using her alternative race with smooth, long hair, but when I accept and go into 3rd person the breasts suddenly are miles long and go into (and through) the floor. The thing is that I don't know what other mod causes this.

    Fallout New Vegas won't open. help.

    I have seen various people online have the same issue as me, but no one on this reddit or on the steamforums seem to give a good answer.

    My game doesn't open at all and instead just closes whenever I hit 'play' on the launcher. I have changed various settings to run as an Administrator, but that didn't help anything

    Mods to make my game look good?

    So I tried to get some mods from Nexus to make my game look actually good, but none of them seem to work? Just slightly better texture quality and a way bigger chance of crashing. It's not that my PC can't take it, she's a beefy girl. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or there's some mods people recommend?

    I can literally clean the legendary bloatfly easily. Like shoot it out of the sky with a riot shotgun using and stay back, and then sneak crit it. Repeat like 4 times, and you've got yourself a meal for a week in bloatfly meat. I've had to literally restrict myself from using it in several playthroughs to make it not extremely easy. Only problem is you're spending a good 5000 caps for a couple clips of ammo, so insert shrugging emoji here

    My NCR Hunter playthrough

    I made a character who's entire goal in life is to exterminate NCR on sight. The character is a man who's entire family was murdered by the NCR due to a miscommunication and now he spends his life trying to hunt down any and all ncr soldiers

    Loadout: Weapons are a police pistol, ranger sequia and riot shotgun

    Armor is either he riot police armor or desert ranger set of armor

    Faction alignment: either legion or Yes man

    Rules: kill anyone who is either part of the NCR or shows sympathy towards them

    I'm late to the party, but let's talk about Willow.

    After seeing people shit all over the mod, and having too many hours logged on this game anyway, I decided I'd finally give Willow a shot.

    I have to admit, the reviews I read were pretty spot on. From a technical perspective, it's definitely the best companion mod I've ever tried, there's a ton of dialogue, and Willow is an extremely useful companion (although that's actually one of my complaints too. The campfire thing is cool, but her being as deadly as Boone makes no sense). The mod breathed a fair bit of life into the early game for me, just with new things to do and new items to acquire. I especially liked that bit at the Repconn Test Site (and you can find those characters later at Mojave Outpost).

    Willow's personality is puddle deep, she sounds like a mom from Wisconsin, and the whole thing where you just give her goodies until she fucks you is pretty messed up. That said, while I totally understand why so many people are completely repulsed by this mod, I don't actually dislike it. There are some major downsides, but it also adds a fair bit of content.

    Travelling with her and Eliza has been fun, since Eliza periodically complains about how annoying it is when people just start singing to fill the silence.

    He is a very smart man

    He created nearly all the modern tech in the Fallout universe

    Pretty sure he can perfect most of the flaws of all the versions so far and just make his own improved version

    They live really long time and have a really useful body

    I see no reason why he did not go that route after waking up. He knows about mutants for sure, but chose not to invest in them, because his husk of a body is sufficient for his brain? I mean he is definitely a first gen material and even if he wasn't he can easily enough figure out a way to make it work fine

    is there a way for kills made by followers to not give the player xp?

    i feel like im leveling up to quickly, especially with mods like a world of pain that has dozens of enemies to kill. is there a way to disable companion kills giving xp?
