And to see that it's so polluted with micro-transactions it makes me so sad. Bethesda has become the very thing they swore to destroy. | I really like the design of the Enclave Scout Armor Posted: 05 Dec 2019 11:54 PM PST I got Fallout 76 for free when I bought a new controller, the guy at the register just shoved a copy at me, so I decided to replay it to try to find some positives. I've found a few. I like the "new" power armor designs, even though the lore's fucked beyond all recognition. They look interesting. I like the new weapons and how the weapons have more variety than 4. But most importantly, I really like the design of the Enclave Scout Armor. The helmet/mask looks like the Hellfire power armor helmet, and the armor itself is so much better than the bloated Combat Armor design. It's sleek but it looks like it provides adequate protection for even frontline combat. Not as cool as the Riot Gear, mainly because of the goofy camo and how the mask isn't a full helmet, but I hope it returns in the next game. [link] [comments] |

| Fallout 4: Npcs keep appearing as error marks all over diamond city, Need assistance. Posted: 05 Dec 2019 06:56 PM PST I am on Xbox one edition with no mods and all dlc , and i just started having npcs appear as error marks all over the city. The first two I immediately spotted was the woman sitting at the ramen stand that tells you the noodle protectron is broken. Second, the eyebot , or what i assumed to be the eyebot since i can barely see it , is also I giant hovering error mark. Ive never had this happen except when i downloaded a bunch of super old un-updated mods on new vegas. If anyone knows about or has had my problem before I would really appreciate it if you would help. Sincerely , a fellow redditor in need. P.S. this is only happening in diamond city and i just downloaded this game, previously i had around 400 hours on my other xbox. I know skyrim had problems with it becoming more and more broken the longer you played it on ps3, but i don't know of this ever happening on fallout 4. | Would you like to see vehicles in Fallout again? Posted: 06 Dec 2019 12:22 AM PST A unique feature of Fallout 2 was to acquire a car - while the game did not feature "driving mechanics", it meshed well with original Fallout's overworld system of abstracting travel as movement on an overhead map. Now we are in the 3D "Bethesda Open World" game and the mechanics are vastly different - would you still like to see vehicles return to the franchise? "Post-apo game with vehicles" gives me PTSD flashbacks to the original RAGE game. Bethesda already have horses in TES, but a car is a whole different beast - it's much faster and requires an actual wide road, which forces world design to conform to it. However, games like Far Cry have sucessfully combined driving and shooting, so it's not out of the picture. I think cars could work on the West Coast, with the world design New Vegas had, but would be rather useless on the East Coast. [link] [comments] |

| What’s the deal with trees and always being dead Posted: 05 Dec 2019 03:24 PM PST Throughout the Fallout games the landscape is barren, and what little life still lives is in the form of mutants, people, mutated animals, and crops. So what happened to all of the trees and shrubs? You would think that in the case of 3 and 4 after 200+ years they would grow some leaves or they would continue to spread. Why are dead trees still around if they would have rotted over 200 years. If they are not alive they can't spread seeds so how are these trees still across the US? How has grass not begun to grow green, and is instead that sickly yellow of dead grass? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Dec 2019 11:12 PM PST I tried to get back into fallout 76 because I love fallout and I think the game has real potential, but it doesn't take its settings seriously (it's just to goofy) and it's just so god damned buggy the game is practically still broken a year in. It really makes me wish that they had just reskined ESO to be fallout. ESO isn't the best MMO but it atleast takes the source material seriously and is overall a playable and enjoyable game. Posted: 05 Dec 2019 06:28 PM PST My gut wants to say no, for the fact that he joined the Followers to do good in the Mojave, but on the other hand, it was shown he still was able to hold a certain fondness for the Enclave members who fought alongside his father, due to the kindness and loyalty they showed him in his youth. He also is said/shown to be more pragmatic than some of the other Followers, understanding that sometimes, helping people and/or the greater good is murkier than you wish it were. I can't help but wonder, though, as a scientist, would he be compelled towards the Institute? I could see him working in the bio science sector for sure. But I can't come to a conclusion about what his feelings towards synths would be. Would he see them as a creation of the Institute, built by their hand and meant to act on their orders, as a piece of property? Would he see it as a creation against human nature? Or would he see them in a more empathetic light, a creation given the capability to want, think, and dream like a human, still deserving the inherent right of free will? Curious what the Reddit community would have to say about this. [link] [comments] |
