Are all Synths doomed to eventually die of cancer? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 04:56 PM PST Throughout Fallout 4, it's explained that all Synths were created using Father's DNA. Since he eventually succumbs to an apparently incurable form of cancer, and with susceptibility to cancer generally being passed down between generations, is it correct to assume that all Synths are doomed to die of cancer? What does the Fallout 1/2 Pip Boy 2000 look like? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 05:59 AM PST We know what the menu screen (and also the interaction screen) looked like, but as a device, what did the Pip Boy 2000 look like? Was it handheld? We know what the Vault Dweller was wearing and carrying as he left Vault 13 the end of Fallout and that he passed down his PB2k to the Chosen One in Fallout 2, but there's no indication of what it might have looked like as a device. When was Vault 111 supposed to open up? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 07:26 AM PST When were the people supposed to be woken up from cryogenisis and released into the wasteland? I don't remember if there's terminals that tell us or not [link] [comments] |
Aside from a corporate sellout, who *was* Dick Shale? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 07:24 PM PST Make sure you grab an ice cold Nuka at the gift shop! [link] [comments] |
How many people actually have a Geiger counter? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 10:56 AM PST Depending on the area there's still lots of radiation around. Often it's enough to kill you very quickly and usually there's no way to "feel" it. How do people manage without a Geiger counter? Aside from pip boys (which are very rare) we practically never see any. It's also not like someone is walking around setting up warning signs around the most dangerous areas, at least not in most areas. There's also the problem that Geiger counter become irradiated themselves if they're exposed and become less useful. Which probably happens to every instrument which is on the surface and not in a vault. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Dec 2019 07:07 PM PST So I know there are syringes and chems built to help reduce radiation to an extreme amount, but sane ghouls Like Hancock or the ghouls in goodneighbor be cured and turn back into humans if they used rad-away? Or is it too late [link] [comments] |

Is there more than one Legate at a time? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 10:27 AM PST Lanius seems to be the only current Legate but are there any indications there are others currently serving? I would find it hard to believe Caesar only has one general commanding his entire army. [link] [comments] |
What’s the lore behind different vaults having different pip boy models? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 09:35 AM PST In Fallout 3 and NV it's the pip boy 3000, Fallout 4 it's the Pip Boy 3000 Mk IV I think it's called? Fallout 76 is completely different and so are the pip boys in Fallout 1 & 2. So what's the gist? Is it that some vaults were made at different times and they were constantly improving the pip boy? Did the Internet exist in the Fallout Universe? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 08:10 AM PST The only example of the Internet I can find is a terminal entry in Fallout 76 with MODUS. In the entry, MODUS communicates with the Raven Rock ZAX Supercomputer who requests data on the previous Presidents of the United States. In this raw form, the Enclave created or at least had a form of crude internet (much like the internet in the 1980s). Are there any other versions or examples of an internet type system for civilians in Fallout? [link] [comments] |
How did Moriarty Tenpenny Cait and the Bobrovs get to post war america? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 01:28 PM PST It's said by one of writers of FO3 said that Tenpenny came from britain so how did he get here, we know that there are boats. Is there some post war transportation service taking people across the atlantic? [link] [comments] |
