Would you guys like a Fallout where 90% of the game takes place in a single city

Think Vegas but what it could've been if it was made today

Pour most of your content into the city

Still make it a post apocalyptic shithole it's just that this city shithole is the main part instead of the non-city shithole

You'd still get content in the rest of the wasteland but it's just mostly this city

Idk how to even plot this

Maybe it's after New Vegas and the city expanded rapidly under whoever the fuck

Or maybe it's just a certain region with only one big hospitable spot so pretty much everyone goes there

Idk if it would feel like Fallout but who know they could make it work

Just tell me what you think

If you could make one npc in FO4 a permanent companion, who would you choose?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 03:48 PM PDT

Off the top of my head I have two immediate answers. The first is Kellogg. Having him as companion would add a lot of interesting dialogue everywhere in game because he's been alive so long and been everywhere. We could also learn more of his backstory like his town out west. It'd be fascinating to hear stories about west groups like the Shi or Caesar's Legion. The second is Glory. She is just a straight up badass. I bet she has plenty of cool stories about her time in the Institute and all the RR missions she's done. Plus minigun go brr ha

Imagine being an NCR trooper at the Second Batlle of Hoover Dam

    Posted: 23 Jul 2021 01:58 AM PDT

The Legion just stormed into the dam and now you're fighting tooth and nail just to live and all of a sudden the fucking Enclave, yknow, the same faction that terrorized your nation from the start, the same faction you seemingly destroyed shows up and you're expecting they're just here to kill as many people and fuck off but it turns out they're on your side

Ok, so that mailman got some Enclave people to help him out, weird but ok

Now the Khans, the same faction that hated you for killing dozens of their elderly and children show up and before you cap their ass you get told their your ally

What! The fucking mailman got those fucks and the Enclave to work with us? What black magic mother fucker is he?

So if that's not bad enough the Brotherhood of Steel shows up, yknow, the same faction you forced into obscurity, the same faction you killed dozens of, the same faction you thought hated your guts is here and willing to help

And then after all of that a fucking bomber flies out of nowhere and roasts a dozen or so legionnaires

Who would like a FO3 GOTY cup of coffee?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 04:10 PM PDT

I just noticed it was on sale and would like to offer a PC Steam key to the first 3 people who PM me for it.

It's a great game and offers dozens of hours of entertainment with all the dlcs. (>100 hrs, imo)

Please.... only people who don't have the game are interested in actually playing it. (i can't verify it, anyway)

    EDIT 1: 3 down, 0 to go

EDIT 2: And that's all she wrote folks

    EDIT 3: correction. i have 1 extra.

    Crazy fallout shower thought

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 02:37 PM PDT

I just realized in every fallout game that you play (except fallout 4), somewhere out there, the sole survivor is just sleeping.

This may have been obvious to some people but it's very surreal to me that the sole survivor slept through many horrifying events like battle of hoover dam and the brotherhood v enclave.

Fan Theory: Dogmeat is the incarnation of some kind of supernatural beint

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 07:50 AM PDT

Clearly the dog in fallout 1-4 is the same with the exception of NV but how can this be? In fallout 1 dogmeat likely died in the destruction of the cathedral, in fallout 2 he likely dies in battle with Frank Horrigan. In fallout 3 and 4 he persist and guides you to survival objectives. Clearly this isn't a different dog each time and is the universal dogmeat and wasteland adventurer inspired by a boy and his dog. By wanting to stick to that trope so heavily they essentially made dogmeat a mythical creature that returns from the dead in fallout 2 in the form of a ghostly café. He is almost like a spirit guide or some other mythical kind of being.

Edit: I spelled the title wrong! The title! Smh

How could the institute not cure cancer?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 11:19 PM PDT

I've been playing a lot of New Vegas and 4 lately and I just don't understand how Mr. House kept himself preserved for hundreds of years and yet the institute couldn't save their own leader. It's just hard for me to believe that what seems to be the most technologically advanced society in the wasteland couldn't cure cancer, but they can cure a super mutant? Seriously? Heck, even vault 111 kept you safe and healthy until the institute broke in. I just don't buy i.

[FNV] General consensus on ENBoost for New Vegas in 2021?

    Posted: 23 Jul 2021 04:05 AM PDT

The Viva new Vegas mod guide implies that ENBoost memory patch for New Vegas is to be avoided, but in my game it rather helps (from my observations at least).

Is there any actual reason to avoid it? Can it mess up your saves or conflict with NV Tick Fix?

What is your favorite DLC any fallout.

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 10:27 AM PDT

I am a huge fan of Fallout as most of us are. I personally have only played 3 new Vegas and 4 but I love the series and the lore and lately I have been wondering what the general consensus is for DLC in fallout.

My favorites are Operation Anchorage. The Pitt. The big MT, and far Harbour.

I am not a big fan of Honest Hearts, The divide and nuka world and probably broken steel.

Where would you like the next Fallout game to take place?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 05:08 PM PDT

Never played a Fallout game. What game should I play?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 03:25 PM PDT

I'm going to play either Fallout 3, NV, or 4. Leaning more toward NV or 4 solely because they're newer games. But I have no clue what one to pick. I'm wondering what game you'd suggest I play and why? All input is very much appreciated.

How would Ancient Roman leaders react to Caesar's Legion?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 07:02 AM PDT

Just a thought that entered my mind in the moment. I don't know much of the Ancient Romans' way of governing or their culture (but I am very interested in learning), but I wondered: How would Ancient Roman leaders and politicians (preferably Julius Caesar and beyond) react to Caesar's Legion? Would they think it is faithful to their government? Would they think it completely different from their ideals?

And yes, this thought was inspired by the "How The Romans Would See Us Today" video.

My first time playing New Vegas...I love it

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 12:00 PM PDT

I hated it the first time around and never got past the Novac part as it felt boring and slow. Decided to give it a second shot today and I love it. The first time around I was worried about pleasing every faction and not killing anyone as I had only played Fallout 4 at the time, but I took a more relaxed approach to it and it's amazing.

If anyone has any tips for a first playthrough it would be appreciated, also R.I.P Manny your outfit looked too good to pass up on.

Why is every reactor so leaky?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 12:08 PM PDT

Can Vault-Tec not make a single good reactor. Like you'd think after making 100 vaults they'd have it down but nope every reactor is leaky.
