Does the demo expert perk affect Missile launchers and fat mans, or just mines and grenades? Posted: 21 Jul 2021 01:30 PM PDT Considering taking this perk but I don't really use grenades and mines. Does it affect explosive weapons too? [link] [comments] | ||
An idea for a true Enclave ending in Fallout 3 Posted: 21 Jul 2021 07:21 PM PDT I hate Fo3, I despise this game and everything about it, the story is bad, gameplay isn't fun, but my biggest complaint about this game is how there is no true Enclave ending. I mean you can infect project purity with F.E.V. but the Brotherhood always defeats the Enclave in Broken Steel, and that sucks because I love the Enclave, it's my favorite faction*. So here is my pitch for a Enclave ending. The first major thing that is changed in this version is that the Brotherhood doesn't have liberty prime from the beginning, instead it's at an old abandoned military base. After being captured by the Enclave, President Eden Tasks you to go to the base and take Liberty Prime, But you can inform the Brotherhood of the base and have them take Liberty Prime and the rest of the game and Broken Steel play out the same. If the Enclave is victorious, they build Liberty Prime and storm the Citadel and destroy the Brotherhood's main base of operations. Now the title "Broken Steel" makes more sense. Broken Steel is pretty similar after an Enclave ending. The water is still infected and is spread across the Capital Wasteland how it was with the Brotherhood, but they're still out there, and pissed off to say the least. Using the Enclave's fleet of vertibirds they hunt down and destroy the last remaining Brotherhood outposts and bases. The player is personally gives you the rank of Colonel and you replace Colonel Autumn as Commanding Officer of the Enclave Department of the Military. I think the main reason this wasn't a thing is because Bethesda doesn't like the bad guys winning, or just incompetence, both are true and that saddens me. The "bad guys" are never really fleshed out, The Gunners, The Institute, Talon Company, Super Mutants, and The Enclave are never humanized because Bethesda wants you to hate them, wants you to kill all of them. Also Bethesda's version of Super Mutants are awful, I believe there are on three friendly named Super Mutants, (Fawkes, Virgil, and Strong) In all of Fo3, Fo4, and Fo76. Anyway Bethesda doesn't understand Fallout, The Brotherhood, but most importunately, the Enclave. *Favorite as in I like them, but I don't support them, I support the NCR but they're not my favorite.
