Posted: 04 Apr 2020 06:23 PM PDT So I'll get to the point. I'll start with my least favorite to most favored (not favorite, there's a bit of a tie). Legion They really don't like me. At all. I messed up so many of their operations that I'm surprised that Caesar didn't just gun me down on the spot when I came to visit. Suffice to say, his questline is relatively short. And I hated every minute of it. The legion is devoid of basic human rights and sexist. Two things I have little tolerance for. They're effective at keeping order, I'll give them that. But an empire built on fear is not one that will last long. Marcus from Jacobstown definitely understood that better than most. House Guy is a straight up genius, no argument here, he just has an insufferable god complex. He definitely knew what to do and had the means to do it. He just lets it get to his head and rolls over everyone who he believes is beneath him, which is everyone except you because you've proven to be his most valuable pawn and he will treat you as such. His idea for vegas is not one that's best for everyone, just best for him and nobody can tell him no. And he knows that. Yes Man I've heard so much about this faction and its ending that I had high hopes for it. Suffice to say, I'm actually slightly disappointed. You keep Vegas independent, but at the cost of stability and just general peace. The citizens aren't being threatened every second by Legion but now they're tearing at each other for a piece of their own, and those who wish to help are paying the heaviest price of all. Is this what the locals really wanted when it comes to freedom? NCR I'm just biased towards these guys. They're at least keeping things together. They also have a lot of good people just trying their best and I can respect that. I just have few problems with them. The first being that their leaders aren't saints. They're actually pretty mired in politics and corruption. I can understand that, but there's a limit till it gets to be too much. The second is that they don't really care about the little people that stand in their way. These people are just trying to survive and the NCR is just ripping them out of the way if it suits them. I mean, they give better options than Legion but still. Another is that I don't see why the NCR can't work with me on the Yes Man route. I mean, as long as they respect Vegas independence, I have no problem with them staying. We'd both benefit more by working together then being enemies, but I could see the possibility of them not liking the idea of someone bossing them around. Anyway, that's my thoughts. I'm more partial to the NCR than Yes Man but maybe I'm overlooking some keys points about each faction, idk? Tell me what you think. Edit: I decided to go with NCR because House, the second best option, is a threat to everyone no matter how many ways you look at it. Anyone who doesn't conform to his ideal world is promptly removed. There's nothing to and nobody stop him beyond yourself, whereas there are checks and balances to stop the NCR if they go too far. The NCR is an empire for the people, of the people. They at least give freedom of opinion if you disagree with them. There are no such options for the others when looking back on them. Ultimately it's better a man chooses than a slave who obeys. I chose NCR because that's what I want for everyone. If they don't like it, then that's their choice. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Apr 2020 11:24 PM PDT So I'm replaying New Vegas, and I'm trying to roleplay more seriously this time around. I'm playing an-ex NCR soldier, and he hasn't been super motivated to kill Benny, more just tracking him down and not yet knowing what to do with him. My courier has been more on the good karma side, and I want my character to have a bit of an arc regarding the main idea of New Vegas (letting go of the past) and I thought it might be interesting to have him spare Benny, then follow him to the fort and get to meet Caesar without having just gone there for no reason. However, I can't really think of a good reason why my Courier would Spare Benny, then go to the Fort to track him down. I've already spoken to house and am at the strip ready to confront Benny. What do you think I should do? [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Apr 2020 12:11 PM PDT Vault 34 descended into chaos mainly due to the deliberate overpopulation and hence population-control of the vault. A lot of the more vocal folks were first kicked out, and then the subsequent lot went and fought the powers that be in their vault just to stop the population control. So 'Boomers' can refer to both their love of explosives and, well ... you get it, right? [link] [comments]
No gun runners ambush? [Spoilers] Posted: 04 Apr 2020 08:31 PM PDT So I resolved Heartache by the Number peacefully and stole the gun runners schematics without being detected, but I don't get the ending slide that says the Crimson Caravan and Van Graffs get ambushed by raiders. Unless killing the two outside guards counts, did I do something wrong for me to not get this? Is there a mod that can help with this bug? [link] [comments]

Problems with quest "house always wins II" Posted: 04 Apr 2020 07:58 PM PDT So new to the game(I know, dunno how it slipped thru the cracks all these yrs) I'm supposed to go into the bunker and decide to side with either house or caesar.Im going with house.i watch videos and guys go in activate the machine and go talk to caesar. I cant do this,I leave the bunker and immediately get attacked by the legionnaires...does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?I have a save before I go in the camp so I can restart with whatever I need I'm just lost and not strong enough to fight the whole camp [link] [comments]
Young Hearts and Lieing to Janet? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 07:33 PM PDT So if you lie to Janet and say she has permission to leave she will run to Nellis and get blown up.... Has anyone tried reverse pickpocketing armor onto her and escorted her or disable the artillery via console command? Will it still fail? Is she scripted to die regardless? I might have to try on my next playthrough if someone has experimented on this yet [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Apr 2020 03:44 PM PDT Turn out. I am afarid I fuck up the game by accidentally deleting something in the game files oof (I disable all the mods but the missing model still there) Well rip I guess (unless there is a way to get the missing stuffs back from the internet or something) [link] [comments] |
