do super mutants have better vision?

    Posted: 28 May 2021 08:37 PM PDT

i was playing fallout 4 with strong as my companion and he said a line that made me wonder: "Strong like dark. Brothers see well in dark." are there any other canon sources that point to super mutants having night vision/improved vision due to their FEV exposure?

Raider knowledge of Vehicles in FO4

    Posted: 28 May 2021 07:58 PM PDT

How do the raiders behind Hardware Town in boston (and the crazy sound effect guy they are talking about) know what a running motorcycle sounds like? How do they know what "shifting gears" sounds like? How do they know that "gears" are a thing that can be "shifted"? How can they identify the sound of a motorcycle engine being started?

Do we know if selecter switches are a thing?

    Posted: 28 May 2021 03:50 PM PDT

For those who don't know a selecter switch is a thing a gun that changes it from semi to fully atuo and to 3rd burst or to safety. In the fallout universe we see that to change it we need to change the reciver. And from what I can tell no guns have a safety switch. Is this only something for gameplay or was it like this in game?

    Whatever happened to Vault City?

Is it part of NCR? Is it on its own? Or did those racist sonsa-guns finally get what they deserve. I'd assume it's just become a part of NCR but I wanted to check with you lore junkies. :)

So as I know from the wiki Germany had deals with both the communist and the Americans (pre-war)

Now here is my question if they manufactured the Gauss rifle wouldn't that make them superior to any other European countries since their weapons are micro fusion cell based does that mean they had some sort of trade with America so what happens to rush country post war since nothing is written in the wiki does the enclave still trade with the ?

    Trees and grass in Commonwealth

    Posted: 28 May 2021 03:32 AM PDT

I've been wondering - how did the dead trees and grass are still present 200 years after the Nuclear holocaust that scorched the earth? The wood would have rotted away, the grass wouldn't even be there unless it could grow back - then it would have been green instead of dry olive green/brown...

My theory is that the trees and grass are "sort of" alive and they absorb radiation, no longer need light so they don't need leaves and chlorophyl. I have read that japanese scientist found out that it's possible for trees to misinterpret radiation as nutrition.

I think nukes in Fallout, being more futuristic, actually may had been designed to minimize radiation anyway. " "clean" nuclear weapons (fusion reactions that result in minimal radiation fallout)".

Do you have a theory for flora being like that in Fallout universe?
