Posted: Im goin with the only competent and reliable faction to rule New Vegas, mr House obviously, and so Im tasked to wipe out Brotherhood of Steel. Thing is, I like Veronica. I know there is a way to kill every single member of the Brotherhood without loss of reputation, and so she won't leave my company, but I feel like it's cheating. A choice like that should go with consequences. I wanted to end her mercifuly, a shot in the back of her skull, before she'll ever realize Im about to blast her whole family. Anyway, I'm currently not sure how to end her quest. It wouldn't make sense to encourage her to stay in Brotherhood considering my intentions, but making her join Followers will result in her refusal to get inside the Hidden Valley bunker. Not sure what to do, I'd just let her decide. There is a chance she might choose Followers, or she'll always stay with her former faction? [link] [comments] | ||

| Is there anything I can do to improve FPS in combat? Posted: Hey guys, I tend to ramble, but I'll put a TL;DR. I've played FNV since it was released. Started on Xbox 360 and played for hundreds of hours. Then got a gaming laptop couple years later, and was amazed by how smooth it played (probably didn't, but compared to my console it did). Played it on and off but focused mainly on CS once I got a decent gaming pc. For a couple of years now I've gotten used to 144hz gaming, played modern titles etc. But I always yearn for Mojave. So, I've been putting my modlist together slowly, and I'm itching to start playing soon. I get mostly stable 75 FPS (capped at 75 for benchmarking), with hiccups in the usual spots that I remember being taxing, like Repconn, The Strip, McCarran and Vault 34. I'm just testing things out atm, I'll most likely cap the FPS to 60 even though I didn't notice any issues relating to higher FPS. But man, every combat drops me to around 35-50. I don't remember smaller combat being that taxing. I fight three radscorpions near Goodsprings and my FPS goes to as low as 38, but mostly 45. Tested without mods, mostly the same, maybe 3 fps more at best. TL;DR : Does everyone experience bad FPS in combat and just deal with it, or is there perhaps some tweak I have overlooked? I know that high Intelligence is great because you get more skills per level, but what should the rest of my build be? What skills should I max first? I remember maxing speech/barter and Repair very quickly, is that wise? Guns vs Energy weapons? Speech or Barter? Are there S-tier perks (ones I should get in every run)? I have the ultimate edition. I've played some of the dlcs, but again it was like 5 years ago. What level should I start the dlcs? Anything I need to know ahead of time?
