| What’s the scariest enemy that you’ve encountered? Posted: I'm curious to see what everyone's most feared creature or creatures is. I'll start this off by saying that the enemies I tend to fear are Cazadors. It's due to their flight patterns, and my fear of flying bugs in general, and also how they drain your health super quickly. I was once afraid of Feral Ghouls since their shrieks startled me when playing Fallout 3 and going through the metros. I just want to hear everyone's tales and stories about the times they got spooked by a certain creature. [link] [comments] |

| Can I just express how shit nuke world open season is? Posted: I wanted to stick to the lore of fallout, and thus had to kill the raiders (I was BoS), but still, it's so awful, is Bethesda THAT lazy???!. Its litteraly just, kill the raiders... done. You get no special items, you get no perks, and after the entire thing (where I died around 30 times) that stupid slave doctor gives me nothing more than a "thanks". The only thing I got out of that dlc is a bunch of handmade rifles. [link] [comments] |

Posted: It's difficult to explain, but I love the more pixely look of those games as opposed to the more modern looking ones. The faded colors and dreary atmosphere really gave fallout a sense of dread whereas the new ones make everything too bright and colorful. [link] [comments] |

'A game without strong focus', no artificial human characters to interact with, no strong emotional anchors to help you become invested in the world. How is the game now 2 plus years on as somebody who has invested time into it? Has it improved and in what ways? What's aspects do you dislike? I know many people think New Vegas is the best, but for me it's Fallout 3. This game and it's world sucked me in and I spent countless hours playing it. Even got all 1550gs for it back in the day. I just did another playthrough on pc and it's still such an incredible game. I have hope the Microsoft purchase of Bethesda means this and NV will be given some love and be fixed and updated. | Underestimated the mantis in FNV Posted: I was headed to jacobs town for my 8362846th playthrough and i decided to let my companions do the killing so i gave raul the mysterious magnum and ed-e the damage upgrade i got killed by some cazadores and bighorners so far the bighorners were the real threat cause they came in swarms and kept knocking me back until... A bunch of fugging mantis appeared out of nowhere after exiting that one mine they crippled my limbs and and shredded my HP basically the med-x and pshyco weren't enough so i got soft locked or whatever the term is Couldnt do anything the mantis just do too much damage buts its BS my companions barely take damage from the mantis so i tried it out in a new playthrough with same and differeng settings so yup the mantis do indeed deal a lot of damage i thought it was because there was bunch of them but nooo apprently they're glass cannons [link] [comments] |
| What are some good mods for a Survival Mode? Posted: I've been really getting into Survival games in general lately and have been playing a lot of Skyrim with Survival Mode add-on and some mods to tweak it out a little and now I'm looking to change things up by playing Fallout 4 the same way. I just did a clean install of the game and am looking to lock down a good mod list. Like the title says: what are your "Must Have" mods for a Survival Mode play through with the Season Pass? I'm especially interested in a good UI/Inventory mod. I was using the DEF_UI with the "Valdacil's Item Sorting" mod but it made all ammo weightless which sort of defeated the purpose of playing in Survival mode. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: I've played through the dlcs and base game as a settlement builder, BOS general and all the fun stuff and upon starting up again, I decided to do a build based on a selfish, but not necessarily evil, merc type. But I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do In terms of main quest. I mean I'm in it for the caps and no one seems to offer many up. I'm gonna be a Raider Queen when I get to Nuka world so the MM is out. If anyone can give me tips on how to be selfish but not a complete dick, do tell. [link] [comments] |
| Addictions should eventually go away over time Posted: One of the features I want most in the next Fallout game is the ability to beat an addiction without doctor intervention. People do it irl all the time. It makes no sense to have a SPECIAL penalty for the rest of your in game life unless you get "cured". Maybe there's a catch if it's not cured by a doctor. Perhaps the penalty eventually goes away, however if you take the drug again you are immediately addicted. [link] [comments] |

| Is there a command to place an NPC at you to be a certain level. (FO4) Posted: I try to spawn in a bunch of NPCs to create large battles like you see on youtube but it's often a one sided stomp because one of the factions I spawn in will have a higher level than the other one. Let's say I spawn in some minutemen to fight gunners. I'd want the minutemen to have slightly higher levels to balance out the fact that they're literal farmers fighting a well armed group of trained mercenaries, even though it makes no sense. | Posted: Hello, This question is for the ones that are familiar with Fallout 76 on a gaming laptop. I have massive fps drops and stuttering at the missile silos when preparing the launch. Also of I turn my pipboy light on and off it is a massive fps drop followed by a stutter but only in the silo. Randomly in other places but not as bad as in the silo, losing around 10 or 15 frames there. I made the ini files changes and tweaked the Nvidia Control Panel for the fallout 76 application, after some videos in youtube. Turning the settings even to low doesn't seem to resolve this. My configuration: ASUS ROG Strix G15 G512LV Intel i7 10870H 16 gb of ram RTX 2060 6 gb Connected to a Samsung Smart TV @ 2K 60 fps with game mode on. P.S. The servers doesn't seem to be an issue, as this is on private and public servers as well. Is my laptop too weak to handle this game or something can be done? help will be much appreciated, thank you [link] [comments] |

Posted: I plan on getting fallout 3 and new Vegas, people say that Jazz and the blues are a big part of the world of fallout, my question is, like gta where you can turn on radio stations to listen to music, can you do the same in 3 and new Vegas ? I just want to wander around the wastelands listening to jazz music, if I can't then when does the music appear ? In missions only or are there radios scattered across buildings, shops and bars ?
