Posted: 07 Apr 2021 08:59 AM PDT I know a lot of people meme about Kasumi being a special snowflake, especially after people kill her and find out she doesn't have a synth component. By contrast, Danse will always drop one. However, DiMA never explicitly describes his process for discerning who is what. I believe the confusion and blame lies with DiMA; he makes the broad implication that you, the player character, may be a Synth. Which from the POV of the player, would be an interesting theory to speculate on, but from his perspective? He just met you. All he knows is that you found your way here. What, did Longfellow receive this treatment when he first found his way here? The way he manipulates your dreams to suit his narrative makes sense from someone with a savior complex like DiMA, but... this really begs the question. What's his criteria for discerning who is Synth and who is human? Is it just this? Is it just asking you broad questions about yourself and gearing you to the idea you might be a Synth? Am I wrong here? Did I miss something like a stray dialogue option that provides more complexity to this process? Otherwise, this is really pseudo-intellectual writing designed to pull at theorycrafter's strings because it's so vague and hand-wavy. [link] [comments] |
Why does the Yangtze in fallout 4 have American food and American nuka cola advertising? Posted: 07 Apr 2021 11:36 PM PDT Just seems weird that the Chinese hate America so much to nuke it, but also eat their food and have English advertisements for nuka cola. I can kinda get that after the war they could've gotten ahold of food before the crew went feral but it still doesn't explain the English nuka cola advertisement, maybe a knock off bootleg version to poke fun at real world China would've been great. Hey modders, just gave y'all and idea [link] [comments] |
How come caps are a established form of currency in 76? Posted: 07 Apr 2021 01:47 PM PDT Hey, I was playing 76 and I was wandering, how come caps are already an established form of currency in Appalachia, or is it more to do with the fact that they are established as the currency in the Fallout Universe and Bethesda didn't really care about the lore behind it. If WV wasn't directly nuked, where did all of the mutants come from? Posted: 07 Apr 2021 06:40 AM PDT Like, did they migrate from other cities? And a bonus question: Why is WV so colorful? Is it also because of it not being directly hit? [link] [comments] |
