I need to rant about how stupid this Fallout 4 seasons pass worth thing is. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 08:56 PM PST Alot of people having crying out about the season pass for fallout 4 saying it's not worth $40 and that Creation Club should be a part of that. While I won't talk about creation Club as I could go either way on that subject I will talk about how stupid it is that with 3 Major DLCs and 3 Minor Settlement focused ones some people thing that seasons pass wasn't worth $40. We are talking about: Nuka World, Automatron and Far harbor. How is 2 new massive areas with player built settlements, great story telling and new mechanics that effect the wider game not worth $40 in addition with the smaller workshop DLC's one of which gave you a massive vault to build with. sure as for scope Fallout 3 and NV had great DLC's and the stories they told were fantastic but other than broken steel do they really do anything to the world as much as Fallout 4's? NV straight up ignors the Mojave because it can't interfere with the story and Fallout 3's takes place too far (other than broken steel) from the capital wasteland to really effect it in any way. the most these DLCs do is give you new weapons and armor to play with outside of it's areas. Fallout 4 litterally changes the common wealth in all but Far harbor and even then adds islanders as settlers as well has links to the main factions in the game. Automatron give you the ability to make full blown robot armies to defend settlements and act as provisioners as well as giving you a nice short story and cool underground settlement (albeit a bit limited) Nuka World can fundamentally how settlements back home can work and offers real tangible Nuka World raiders that have a purpose for being there. Vault tec workshop gives you an actual vault with story to boot and your choices actually have consequences on how your vault does and who stays. Contraptions and Wasteland workshop may have been small fries in comparison to these bigger meals of DLC but they added some really cool stuff into settlements some of which were desperately needed and were perfect filler for the larger ones. So I ask how does anyone think 3 story driven DLCs and 3 Massive Workshop DLC's was not worth $40? I get that people may not like settlements but it's still value added [link] [comments] |

There should be giant mutated herbivores in the next game. Posted: 25 Feb 2021 03:23 AM PST Like a giant triple headed giraffe or Elk behemoths. Its a minor thing but it bothers me how many giant predators there are in Fallout (Deathclaws, Yao Guai) while there's no giant prey animals. I mean, what do they eat? I guess Brahmins but they're mostly farm animals and they aren't that big. Adding a giant leaf munching elephant would be nice. I think Fallout should have more wildlife variety. [link] [comments] |
Where do little brahmin come from? Posted: 24 Feb 2021 11:18 PM PST Just a random thought, but we've seen mutant cows in every Fallout game, but it's kinda odd that we've yet to see any bulls. Well, I know there's been a scant few mentions here and there, but they've never actually made an appearance. [link] [comments] |
Made my own Courier action figure Posted: 24 Feb 2021 12:29 PM PST https://imgur.com/gallery/qcgkdop Handsewn and hand-painted. Fabricated the Pip-Boy out of hot melt glue. She was originally a Tomb Raider doll but I repainted the face. Cut and pricked my finger many times but I'm willing to suffer for my art :D [link] [comments] |
(FNV) I have never done a Legion playthough Posted: 25 Feb 2021 12:20 AM PST I am playing Tale of two wastelands at the moment and once I get done with FO3 I will most likely do another FNV playthough. I would like to do Legion because I have never done that faction, the problem is I hate the Legion and while I have no problem roleplaying a bad guy I just can't bring myself to do side with them. Am I missing much by not having done the Legion? I know from my multiple playthoughs of the other factions the quests themselves are relatively the same, are there any differences when doing Legion other then killing the NCR president? Posted: 25 Feb 2021 02:18 AM PST in my testing i found out that LUCK affects the chance of your weapon doing more damage so if your weapon does 15-18 damage LUCK will give you a higher chance of doing 18 damage [link] [comments] |
What's the point of turning your energy weapons into shotguns? Posted: 25 Feb 2021 12:31 AM PST So I was watching camelworks video on the "Experiment 18-A" plasma rifle the other day. In the video he puts the mod where it splits your shots into multiple blobs of plasma and he says the damage is spread throughout all of the blobs. In the video it looked badass so I wanted to try it out in my survival run. I currently just have a normal plasma rifle, for a while all I had was the normal stock and normal short barrel on it and it kicks ass. I was finally able to scrounge up enough resources to craft the improved splitter barrel and recoil compensating stock on it to try out the "energy shotgun" This thing is ASS. What's the point of turning your plasma rifle into a plasma shotgun if all it does is decrease your accuracy, kills your chance to hit in VATS, also eats up a crazy amount of AP, (I could shoot 6-7 times in VATS with the normal short barrel, only 3 times with 10 agility now with the splitter barrel) and it doesn't even increase your damage, just splits them up across multiple globs of plasma that have a chance of not hitting your target. As far as I can tell, turning your energy rifle into a shotgun handicaps you in almost every way. Is there a point to doing this? Am I missing something that makes it viable? [link] [comments] |
Fallour 4 survival mode as a charisma build is hell Posted: 24 Feb 2021 07:26 AM PST Im playing a charisma, perception and intelligence build with all my other stats being at 1, and it has not been easy to say the least. Would not recommend this build. [link] [comments] |

A lesson from Mad Max and how the NCR could be doing better Posted: 25 Feb 2021 03:07 AM PST I've been playing Mad Max (2015) and I got to thinking the NCR would be doing so much better if they would just make use of a mechanized unit. Just a conventional humvee (refurbished with some heavy armor, and fitted with with a mounted grenade launcher) would help establishes their position in the mojave; all they would need is to use some of their maze to make biofuel. I know they make use of power armor (which doesn't require a conventional fuel source) but I just feel like the NCR wartime economy is awful and on a minor side note I think their conventional trooper armor is also pretty crappy a tan outfit with little actual protection. Overall I think the NCR military isn't all that great. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Feb 2021 07:51 PM PST Hey everyone. In Fallout 4 is it possible for random settlers to be replaced by synths? And if so, how do you find them? Or do you just have to guess? [link] [comments] |
Wondering how easy it is to get locked into a faction in New Vegas Posted: 24 Feb 2021 09:24 PM PST I just got New Vegas and I'm loving it, however I'm worried about how easy it is to get locked into a faction. I just finished doing the Boomers quests for Mr. House but I want to know the effects of what I'm doing. I don't really know what my plan is, but I was thinking of following Benny's plan and eventually killing Mr.House. Now, I got the Boomers to agree to help me, however I fear that my plan will shatter because they are helping Mr.House and not me. I guess what I really want to know is how lenient the game is on these groups, will doing Mr.House quests only benefit Mr.House or can I use what I have obtained against him? Can I do quests for factions for my own gain or will it just be for them? I would appreciate a vague explanation as I don't want anything spoiled, but if you feel is it super important just use the quest name or whatnot. [link] [comments] |
FNV: what is there to do at Searchlight airport? Posted: 24 Feb 2021 06:19 PM PST I've been over there a few times but it just feels like an empty filler location. There's a few loot caches there and some radscorpions but not really anything else. Is there something I'm missing like a quest or unmarked quest that takes you there? [link] [comments] |
Fallout 76 is a good game now. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 11:36 AM PST I hated it when it launched. It has since become a game worthy of my time and attention. I implore you to re-try the game if you havent already and give it another chance. That being said i should have unlimited space in my fucking stash box. That is all. [link] [comments] |
[Fallout Theory] How the bombs dropped in the day Posted: 25 Feb 2021 12:06 AM PST Alright, so in older games it's implied that the bombs dropped at night, but in fallout 4 we see them drop in daylight. What if China dropped a few bombs on Boston, New York and Pennsylvania to scare the public at 3-4pm (this would explain the fact that the Great War is 2 hours despite being just nuclear exchange) then at 6pm the main strike is launched (I checked and in October 6pm would be dark) Your opinion is welcome, we can discuss in the comments [link] [comments] |
Need help with CASM error in New Vegas Posted: 24 Feb 2021 11:02 PM PST I'm getting an error box whenever I enter my game that goes along the lines of the following: "CASM has detected that you are not using the proper version of Lutana NVSE Plugin. CASM needs version 4 or greater, you have version -1. Please upgrade Lutana NVSE Plugin." I have the latest version of JIP LN NVSE (CASM and NVSE are also up to date), which I believe is supposed to take Lutana's place, but I take it that the error either means that it and CASM aren't mingling like it's supposed to or that it does and the error box is just an annoying leftover. Anyone care to tell whats wrong or if there is at least a way to get this Lutana-obsessed error box out of my life? Also, if it means anything, I installed both via FOMM. [link] [comments] |
The ability to establish a government in FO4. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 10:17 AM PST So Nick mentions about the CPG. And how they tred to establish some form of government. Something like that is what I mean. I know that you can build settlements but I feel it would be more interesting if you could have more interaction between settlements. Obviously the minutemen would be a major part in this. Such as being the miltia/military of this government. This isnt veru well thought out so if you want to add anything extra feel free. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 09:51 AM PST Legit a whole heartfelt talk with Preston about how his comrades never showed up. After that launch an artillery barrage and its "sorry captain, you're out of our range, good luck. Call in a flare and its." no Minutemen are able to respond. Legit took the castle the other day and I died like 5 times due to the minutemen shooting and chucking grenades at me. They were attacking me long after the enemies were gone. The minutemen are very dumb. [link] [comments] |
