What role did Africa play in the Fallout Universe? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 10:57 PM PST Judging how the United States switched to atomic energy in the 1950s wouldn't they source most of their uranium from the Congo? It seems kind of odd how much the United States relied on atomic energy, yet that relationship is left out. Wouldn't it make sense if countries in Sub-Saharan Africa emerged relatively unscathed from the nuclear fallout? [link] [comments] |
[Fo4] what does the mechanist think of the rust devils? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 09:27 AM PST Does she see them as intelligent people with poor intentions or does she see them as pests that need to be exterminated. Or is there no relation between them and they both just happend to make robots? [link] [comments] |
How strong are securitrons supposed to be? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 08:36 PM PST I feel like I've heard somewhere that a single MK II can take on an army, but in game stats aren't very accurate to that and they can easily be defeated, even in groups. [link] [comments] |
Why was T-65 Power Armor not used by the US Military in the place of T-51 and T-60 Power Armor? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 08:46 AM PST Why was the Secret Service using this Power Armor that offers greater protection than T-51 Power Armor, but not the military? It doesn't make much sense to me. What are harold and the master? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 03:15 AM PST Given that they both were exposed to a variant of FEV they mutated into things Totally unseen and have yet to be seen. The master became an organic telepathic sponge. Harold became a living tree able to create life in the form of trees. Trees that he can see through. I know there is slot of lore, but I find them fascinating in the grander scheme of the world. Everyone is looking for weapons and creating a new world and here in all that chaos was a mad would be savior and (still possibly alive) an immortal tree capable of re-creating nature. Have there been any such brings to exist since them? I think they're beautiful anomalies in a world of unending war. Especially harold. He's lived so long. The things he knows and now it's even more with his tree eyes. [link] [comments] |
Who got nuked worse China or the US Posted: 20 Feb 2021 02:01 AM PST Who in great war suffered more casualties and which side would you say got destroyed or nuked worse? My money is on China being a crater or far worse off than the US even with the US having FEV creatures. [link] [comments] |
Why is everything so dirty and why don't people remove 200 year old skeletons from where they live? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 01:50 PM PST I always found it weird people in Fallout will have piles of trash in their house and broken home appliances laying around and even 200 year old skeletons in some cases. I understand they're trying to make the game look dirty and post-apocalyptic but it honestly brakes the immersion for me. Wouldn't you clean up your house and not have piles of trash and broken glass all over the place? Are people in Fallout just lazy? Would you want to live in a house with 200 year old skeletons? I feel like people would clean up and try to make it look as nice as they could. [link] [comments] |
How is there still working flip lighters? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 05:41 AM PST I have this old zippo my dad gave me and it doesn't have a flint and it's out of fluid. So I would think that after mabey a decade (give or take a few years) there would be a shortage of fluid! But so many people have lighters. For example Benny fnv and literally everyone in fo4! Ok the fo4 was just a joke but how do people have working lighters. Flint isn't that far fetched because of the mines and quarries but fluid doesn't make sense to me. [link] [comments] |
Would a Super Mutant be willing to partake in a honor duel? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 03:05 PM PST Essentially I'm taking part in a Fallout-esque RPG and my character is partly megalomaniac and willing to do whatever to show off his strengths, which is hand to hand combat. We were just informed of a small band of super mutants nearby. Thinking this is my chance to prove myself I want to challenge one of them or their leader to a honor duel. Do you think if the leader was challenged would they accept it and the rest respect the duel? Or would they just attempt to kill a human on sight? [link] [comments] |
What do we know, if anything, about New York in the Fallut universe? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 04:58 AM PST As mentioned in the title, is there anything about NYC either before or after the bombs thats been mentioned in the series? Failing that, anyone got any ideas or theories? [link] [comments] |
Where do most of the Mojave locals come from? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 02:57 PM PST Only a handful of characters are said to come directly from vaults and there's also a good number of NCR citizens and settlers present, both of whom make their origins fairly clear. But as for the rest, like the residents of Goodsprings, Primm, Novac, etc.? Are they "rehabilitated' tribals like the Three Families, enterprising squatters looking to evade the NCR's authority ala the original American settlers in Texas which is why so many of them want to stay independent, or are they something else, like maybe the descendants of the few remaining pre-war residents of the area that were able to avoid tribalization? Who supplies the Fiends with laser weapons? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 03:21 AM PST I mean, most raiders in Fallout use rather crude, ballistic guns, like pistols, shotguns and whatevef they can steal off dead regular soldiers. However, the Fiends run around with laser and plasma weapons as if they were regular customers of the Silver Rush. What's going on? [link] [comments] |
