Posted: 18 Feb 2021 01:21 AM PST Side note, but I'm planning a character named "Unlucky Charlie, mountain man and cryptid hunter", so if anyone could provide me a plausible reason as to how this guy would be considered appropriate to rebuild America, that would be good too. [link] [comments] |

Is the NCR fighting two wars during New Vegas Posted: 17 Feb 2021 02:42 PM PST So, I've gotten into a debate with a buddy of mine on wether independent vegas or NCR Vegas was for the better. He tells me regardless if the Courier makes Vegas independent that the NCR will destroy Independent Vegas when they finish up the war in Baja. I thought the war in Baja was over, and thats why the Rangers are in Vegas instead of Baja. So the full force of the NCR is in Vegas right? [link] [comments] |

Was the enclave completely wiped out? Posted: 17 Feb 2021 10:18 PM PST After losing the battle in the capital was the enclave wiped from the wasteland or does their organization continue to operate in other areas? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Feb 2021 03:49 PM PST You would think regular gasoline, right? If all of the petroleum and gasoline was used/ hidden by the government where are all of these easily accessible flamer fuel tanks coming from? Was there a surplus of a different kind of combustible gas that was used? What is the lore behind the flamer weapon? [link] [comments] |
Looking to become a Fallout Scholar, where do I start? Posted: 17 Feb 2021 03:27 PM PST Over the past year I've been getting REALLY into Fallout. Upon watching some extremely long video essays on the game series I've been playing through the 3D games and I'm trying to figure something out for 1 and 2. (only have a PS4) In the mean time I want to go deeper, anything to read, watch, play. [link] [comments] |

Why isn't Lake Mead irradiated? Posted: 17 Feb 2021 12:03 PM PST Mr House stopped most of the missiles in the area but wouldn't the radiation have spread there from Arizona or anywhere else that got nuked? Sorry if this was asked before. [link] [comments] |

Chosen One Birth Year and Pre-Built Player-Characters Posted: 17 Feb 2021 05:58 PM PST In order to have a roleplaying experience in Fallout 2 which is consistent with the Fallout's lore, I was reading into the events in the Chosen One's life which are established as canon, so that I wouldn't be trying to roleplay a character that was, for example, older than their own mother. During this process I discovered that The Fallout Bible establishes that on March 23rd 2221 "The "Chosen One" is born". This means that, by the time Fallout 2 begins (July 25th 2241), the Chosen One has to be 20 years old. The ages of the pre-made player-characters in Fallout 2 are 19, 32 and 21 for Chitsa, Mingan and Narg respectively. I'm sure you can see the inconsistency here, how does this make sense? Also how is it possible that when we create custom characters we can set their age to be pretty much anything that we want? Do you think this is a developer oversight? Perhaps it's just a poorly-though-through retcon? Perhaps we are intended to assume that this detail is just not set in-stone for our own playthroughs of the game, but is still the canonical version of events, similar to how in our own playthrough's of Fallout 1 we can decide to be a female Vault Dweller, despite the fact that the canonical version of events is played out by a male Vault Dweller. I'd like to hear other people's thoughts about this. Thanks. Edit: Commenters have pointed out to me that the Fallout Bible isn't strictly canon. In light of this, are there any other restrictions regarding any of the Chosen One's potential traits? Of course there is some upper limit to the Chosen One's age, but we just can't be sure of what it is, unless there is canonical evidence of the Arroyo Elder's age. I suppose we also have to assume that the Chosen One's race would be either the same as the Arroyo Elder (Caucasian?) or possibly mixed race, since we don't know anything about the Chosen One's father, right? How exactly do Glowing Ones and Glowing Creatures work? Posted: 17 Feb 2021 03:50 AM PST Glowing Ones and glowing variants of Creatures can be seen in the Wasteland, but how does something like that work? Could a creature or person soak up so much radiation that they would actually start glowing in the same manner as a Glowing One? [link] [comments] |
Why doesn't the the Stealth Suit Mk2 have the ability to turn invisible? Posted: 17 Feb 2021 12:38 PM PST It has onboard ai, the ability to dispense chems, selfupdating firmware, and other abilities, but it can't replicate the main appeal of the Mk1? Personally guess it underwent something similar to that movie about the Bradley. [link] [comments] |
