| What is the deal with Ulysses? Posted: 24 Dec 2020 04:15 PM PST Seriously. I'm on my fourth playthrough of New Vegas and I'm now realizing his character is really stupid. His dialogue is just cringe, he's acting like he's some philosophical badass but it just sounds pretentious. He sounds like a forty year old keyboard warrior. He blames the courier for the destruction of the Divide, even though there was no way we could've known. And the game basically forces you to either sympathize or understand him. He's easily the worst dlc main character(s) in the game. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 24 Dec 2020 09:19 AM PST I'm not sure if the protagonists of the first two games would have learned to swim, I haven't played those games yet (though I plan too). But why can the lone wander from fo3 swim? There was no pool in the vault, yet he can theoretically swim forever as soon as he leaves the vault. [link] [comments] |

Also the colored please stand by screen looks so cool. Something I would hate to see, obviously the multiple in game purchases like the atomic shop and fallout 1st. Other than that I have no issues. | Posted: 25 Dec 2020 12:06 AM PST I'm starting fallout 4 as it has worked fine in the past, but now it wont start and saying I have a "save that relies on data that is no longer present some object may no longer be available." And the data is ccgcafo4011-factionws11vt.esl this is the vault tec weapon paint mod for the creation club which I've never had and isn't showing up in my purchases either if I forgot. If I click on continue loading the game just crashes in the loading screen where it shows the hints. I've uninstalled the game and retried but still not working. and deleted all cache and local saved data. If anyone can help me thank you I'm 2 days worth of playing time in but I'm willing to restart if I got to. On xbox one btw [link] [comments] |

But the fucking barriers.Oh boy the times I've tried getting to my objective but going in the uphill direction that is easily steep enough to walk on, and then getting stuck? Pfft. No way man. An auto save system would be nice too. Getting stuck inside one of those invisible barriers and then you save being like an hour ago? No way. Better graphics would be handy too, but not too better to the point where it takes the games "charm" of mundane desert away. Maybe make the game playable after beating it? Moving different gangs into different casinos? I should be able to wipe out the white glove society and then move the khans in there. Bigger soundtrack. Yep. Thsi ones a biggie. Don't want to listen to johnny guitar and SPURS THAT JINGLE JANGLE JINGLE. Also, I feel that in thsi game a playable ghoul character would be easy to do. Maybe sprinting? Not so sure about that one. Also add new buildings. As a IRL Boulder City resident, they kinda disgraced my town a lil bit. And the Luxor, and the Belagio, like 5 other grand casinos get moved in? [link] [comments] |
| Fallout 4 Faction Content is Better Than New Vegas' Posted: 24 Dec 2020 05:59 PM PST Fallout: New Vegas is seen as "the best" for some reason. And I do enjoy it and people are allowed to like it, but one thing for certain is its faction content is boring, repetitive, and is nothing unique. Aside from the few small side quests within each faction, New Vegas' factions gives you the same handful of tasks. Go to this smaller faction, do whatever you want because it has no actual change in gameplay, and report back. And half the time these faction quests aren't even in the same theme for the faction that sends you. Legion? Just go to the Boomers and help them. You know? Be totally un-Legion like. I mean it isn't even like being openly Legion matters since they have no true allegiances. And even if you fail to get any allies, you still end up winning the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. It really makes me feel like my choices mattered and they totally weren't just fetch quests done differently to make the game feel longer. Fallout 4, on the other hand, has a handful of unique faction content and side content. Each faction quest is unique with only a few (mostly for the Railroad) being similar for another faction (Institute). Which makes sense. And each quest is actually in character with the faction. Railroad? Stealth operations, although you can go in guns blazing which is still mostly in character with the Railroad having heavies. Brotherhood? Expect military might and reconnaissance. Etc. And the game actually changes according to how you've done the faction quests as well, which is great. [link] [comments] |

Armor/clothing and weapon mods Really good quest mods. Expansion-esque stuff. Gameplay/quality of life mods. And, yeah, I know I basically covered ALL types of mods with those categories haha. I enjoyed the gameplay loop of 4 and played the hell out of it, I liked the looter-shooter aspect and the settlement building. However, as someone who prefers the classic Fallout games and FNV, I did feel the narrative was extremely lacking in 4, but I've heard good things about the Settlers/Raiders storyline in 76. Should I get the game now, wait for more content to come out or just stay away from it all together? [link] [comments] |
