How would you guys feel about a system of not knowing an NPC's name until you yourself find it out? Posted: 08 Oct 2020 12:06 PM PDT What I mean is you have to talk to people and figure out who they are before you actually know their name. Instead of going to a town and "looking" for someone who already has a name despite you technically not knowing and mission marker on them, you would have to ask "hey are you so and so" amd go based off of where people saud they would be or look like. So you would have to be told "oh he's a ghoul and hangs around this bar, can't miss him" stuff like that. [link] [comments] |
Playing Fallout New California for the First Time Posted: 08 Oct 2020 05:20 AM PDT Hey everyone I am doing A series on Fallout New California , I would love if you dropped by. I know this Is self promotion, I want it to be known I genuinely hate doing this, but its is required for a start to do. I promise not to spam and I will be an active member of the community, But I understand all the flack I am get for this Edit: WHAT WHY, I was not expecting 50+ people to watch my video, thanks everyone! Edit Again: MAKE THAT 80 PEOPLE, THANK YOU ALL, BUT WHAT THE HELL EDIT 3: THIS IS LITERALLY THE FIRST I HAVE EVER HAD BREAK 200 VIEWS, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL, THANK YOU! IT WAS AT 13 VIEWS THIS MORNING , AND THAT WAS AWESOME FOR ME EDIT 4: So you guys broke the 300 mark for views on the video, for context, I average 4-8 views per video, and since I started YouTube channel(May 14th) I in total, had a 1,137 view at the beginning of today... that video now makes up over 25% of the total view count on my channel, thank you all so much [link] [comments] |
Who would you rather side with The Institute or The Brotherhood of Steel? Posted: 09 Oct 2020 02:54 AM PDT If you had to pick a faction which did you side with and why? [link] [comments] |
2 years later, what's Fallout 76 like? Posted: 09 Oct 2020 01:06 AM PDT i haven't heard any news about fallout 76 since the chaotic launch, but i've started to get back into gaming and i've really been wanting to check out 76. however, i'm still a bit apprehensive. people who play fallout 76 now, why? how much content does the game have? what's the community like? (is it like post apocalyptic gta online or are people mostly friendly? lol) i know posts like this are a bit annoying but i wanted to hear some different opinions about the game before buying. thanks in advance for any replies :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Oct 2020 02:38 AM PDT I was considering doing another run, and I started wondering does anyone know if there is any Alternate Starts that basically randomly drop you on the map, with a pipboy, like you either accidentally slipped into the fallout universe (isekei start) or the Zetans decided to return you after you were abducted pre-war? To be honest I don't think I have ever actually completed the main storyline, been having to much fun exploring. [link] [comments] |
Why doesn't Ulysses Launch the Nukes Himself? Posted: 08 Oct 2020 08:34 AM PDT In Lonesome Road, he just waits for you to show up in the divide and get Ed-E for him so he can launch the nukes, but you don't have to have repaired Primm Ed-E to get Divide Ed-E, so why couldn't he do it himself? It seems like it would be much easier to Nuke the NCR if there wasn't someone trying to stop him, and if he just wanted the Divide to kill you he could've just nuked the NCR and then told everyone where he was and invited them to try and get revenge. Also, how do you even know he's in the divide? There's no radio signal like the other DLC's, I think you just get a popup when you install the DLC telling you that there was a radio broadcast lasting 10 seconds. What would he have even done if you were listening to another radio signal? [link] [comments] |
which game should i get first? Posted: 09 Oct 2020 04:03 AM PDT i don't have the money for 4 or 76 so i'm eyeing either new vegas or 3, which one should i get? [link] [comments] |
What happened to India in the fallout universe? Is there a mention of India in the FO games? Posted: 08 Oct 2020 11:35 PM PDT I am very curious as to what happened to India after the great war. Since the game is retrofuturism of the 40s, I am guessing India is still a colony of Great Britain. [link] [comments] |

What do you think is in store for the Fallout series now that Microsoft has bought Bethesda? Posted: 08 Oct 2020 07:04 PM PDT Like the title says. I personally have high hopes, maybe not for ES6, but for anything released after. With Microsoft already owning Obsidian we could see the days of FNV level of content. I for one am pretty excited. Also does anyone think it could be a bad thing, and if so why? [link] [comments] |
Massive amount of cheaters in nuclear winter today Posted: 08 Oct 2020 03:48 PM PDT What is happening today? My friend and I have seen so many cheaters. We've had instant kill, speed, ultra skinny character models, aimbot, a player who dropped two nukes back to back without picking up any briefcases and the same player knowing exaclty where we were and dropped a nuke directly on us while on the other side of the map. What the hell is going on? Even as I'm typing this we just finished a game where we were insta killed by a player out of our render distance with a shotgun. The guy is level 304, how is he allowed to play that long and not be banned? [link] [comments] |
Yet again. UltraWidescreen HUD looks horrible Posted: 09 Oct 2020 03:52 AM PDT I´m running the game on borderless 2560*1080 with the mod for that resolution. Widescreen fix - Nexus Mods https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/274?tab=description (I´ve also installed DEF UI and have no issues with it) This has admittedly helped so the HUD size but I still have to deal with the shades of the HUD which are shown outside the HUD blocks themselves. And the HUD still looks like an overstretched 720p. Any ideas to deal with it? (I have tried UWPU - Ultra Widescreen Patches Updated but the game won't launch with it) [link] [comments] |
CC Issues FO4 PS4 (Lost Hellfire Power Armor Suit) Posted: 09 Oct 2020 03:12 AM PDT I Downloaded the Hellfire Power Armor from the CC, after that I downloaded some Mods (Dead Sun, unlimited build-limit, and Gas Masks with head gear). I am not sure if the Mods caused the problem or something else, but after I finished building I walked into the building which had the Hellfire, and it was gone, I did everything I could thing of; trying to download it again, Looking for something to fix the problem online, re-downloading Mods that were in the save originally, closing FO4 and re-opening and restarting the PS4. Any suggestions on what I should do to fix it? [link] [comments] |
What is the voice in “Industrial Junk” saying? Posted: 08 Oct 2020 10:32 PM PDT At the 0:53 mark. It's repeated once again, with the same words. The voice in "Vault of the Future" was successfully deciphered as a Russian news report. SOMEONE can decipher this. [link] [comments] |

I Played Fallout 76 and Genuinely Enjoyed It. Posted: 08 Oct 2020 10:40 AM PDT I first got Fallout 76 when it came out and really enjoyed the gameplay and the really bleak and desolate feeling that it has. The soundtrack is also really good and despite not having many NPCS I still found the ones in the game very memorable. Rose and MODUS still make me laugh. The side quests and items are really fun too. One that really sticks out to me is the Nukashine quest which is just bonkers. Overall, give teh game a chance and I think you'll enjoy it. Posted: 08 Oct 2020 05:59 PM PDT Anyone on here not tried the game of the year DLC content? This includes the far harbor dlc, automatron, wasteland workshop, contraptions workshop, vault tec workshop, nuka world add ons/extensions. Again, just looking for someone who hasn't had the chance to access this content but is a fallout 4 player on xbox [link] [comments] |
I want a physical compass and watch and other physical utility tools in Fallout Posted: 09 Oct 2020 01:00 AM PDT Dunno if anyone would be onside, but I am just a little bit done with having a bar on my HUD that highlights nearby attractions. It's clutter on my screen that I need in order to tell which direction I'm going and I would really appreciate an alternative. I really liked the Power Armor UI but actually wearing it doesn't suit my play-style unfortunately. I'd like to find a physical compass in the game that you can use to navigate with. Maybe even find or craft cosmetic replacements around the world. Same thing for a watch in place of the wait/sleep menu, flashlight's in place of the Pip-Boy light (I know the mods and I love them), Geiger counters maybe a sonar thing maybe little lock picking gadgets. Canteens and add a drinking animation? I feel like there is room in Fallout world to add a lot of different immersive ways of "customizing" the UI and your equipment beyond pure clothes, armor, and guns, which is invariably either a stat game (DPS, DR, SPECIAL) or a fashion game. Not that either of those are bad, just that there's more space to play with. Also, and I know this goes entirely against the idea of immersive UI options but I could do without the Pip-Boy if I'm honest. Like, it's branding and cool and whatever but looking at my inventory feels really cramped. Also also, I feel like there is a game or two that I'm thinking of that incorporates some of these ideas and I just can't remember it right now so if someone could help a guy out... thanks. Is There A Mod That Creates More Blood When You Shoot Someone? Posted: 08 Oct 2020 04:07 PM PDT Is there a mod that creates more blood when you kill an npc? I hate dismembering a head and there is just some blood splatter on the wall and floor. I downloaded Enhanced Blood Textures mod, but that doesn't really give enough blood. If there is no mod, I was thinking about possibly creating my own. But would there be anyway to have the game place more blood textures or larger blood textures, or would I be restricted to making textures a certain size? [link] [comments] |
No New Mods Working Fallout New Vegas Posted: 09 Oct 2020 12:06 AM PDT This probably won't be enough information, but I just don't have any idea what info to give. I had a solid 60 mods installed. Everything working fine. Newest version of NVSE, etc. I randomly got a crash error when trying to load the game. For some reason my Steam account had to fully install all over again. Oddly, all my games were still installed. Through sleuthing I found a fix to my error code to be putting a shortcut to steam.exe in my new vegas folder. This worked thank goodness. But since then, I cannot ads any more mods to the game. They download, they install, they are in the folders. But they just don't appear. I use vortex. I've tried several types of mods. Two different pip boy mods, a flora mod, casino unbanned... None show up in game. Long shot, but maybe someone has a similar situation it there in the world. P.S.: I love you. [link] [comments] |
What moral alignment would you choose for each Fallout NV faction? Posted: 08 Oct 2020 11:38 PM PDT I'm thinking of doing a NV DnD and this thought came to me. Where would you rank the major and minor factions of the game in terms of their moral alignment? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Oct 2020 05:35 PM PDT So before I begin, I need to keep some things clear for the reader:
With all that cleared, here is the story. Australia after World War II carried on fairly uneventfully for most of the Fallout timeline, technology improved and the continued struggles for a stable economy continue well up until 2050 a few years before the resource wars began, for Australia, the resource wars were more than just shortages of major resources fought over, it signified the need to split Australia into 14 states, with what was once Queensland now divided into 3 states, The Darling Downs being the smallest, and central Queensland becoming the biggest, this split cause riots in various places and caused the Australian Interstate Civil War, several of the states would fight over what little resources remained until 2060, by 2077 when the Great War happened, the Australian Republic, feared nuclear war, and became desperate to find a way to avoid a nuclear war. The government funded "Project: Nuclear War" had begun, over 2,000 Vaults we're constructed all around Australia from 2077 to 2177, all holding up to 2,000 people per vault, unlike Vault-Tec these vaults were not full of social experiments but we're designed to preserve the population of Australia, but in 2178 the inevitable happened, Australias Great War had begun but unfortunately by the time the bombs hit only 1,500 vaults were filled, only 500 with their full capacity, as a result the unused vaults fell into disrepair. In 2378 the land was a wasteland and not many of the vaults inhabitants had the courage to head up to the surface, all in fear of the dangers the wasteland could present, a select few were daring enough to ascend to the now giant wasteland, Jason Hughes, inhabitant of Vault 666, went searching for anything that his vault could use to survive on the surface, slowly he founded the settlement Calledonia, and most of the vault residents slowly turned it into a city, the city turned to Communism as a means of ensuring all inhabitants had food, water, a home and a job, they later formed The Communist Republic of Australia, and are now the biggest city in the whole Australian wasteland. Inhabitants of Vault 999 and 333 become dictatorial with laws stating that the outside wasteland is forbidden and anyone attempting to leave the vault for the surface would be shot on sight, these vaults we ended into anarchy and are now full of the dead inhabitants. Residents of Vaults 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 would form the town of Geeling, and instead turned to Capitalism, their town on the other side of Australia would never come into contact with the Communist based City, despite the peoples hatred of Capitalism, this town thrives economically, and so it can absorb other surrounding factions and towns under it's belt, it is growing at a rate that will soon see it become the new largest city in the Australian Wasteland. Vault 500 has become a gouhl infested vault, and is considered a "Red Vault" by many. Vault 250 has managed to keep things in check and is thriving even after 200 years, not one has ascended to the surface yet. [link] [comments] |
Is the Ford’s theatre in fallout 3? Posted: 08 Oct 2020 05:32 PM PDT I tried looking for it online but I never saw anything about it in fallout 3 I feel like it would be a pretty important thing to have in the game [link] [comments] |
