Where do the citizens of Megaton get their nutrition from?

I just started playing the series from the beginning in late May. I've completed 1 and 2 and started 3 last week and I'm really getting into the lore. This brought up a question for me.

I'm wondering how do the people of Megaton get their nutrition? I get the impression that the west coast seems a little more economically developed than the capital wasteland - I mean, you have a trading hub, paramilitary organizations, and you start to get the beginnings of a nation soon after and some of the towns look like people are trying to rebuild them. Meanwhile, Megaton seems like it was cobbled together from trash and the residents are scraping by rather than rebuilding.

When Moira asks you to investigate the Super Duper Mart, she mentions that she would never venture out into the wasteland herself. This suggests to me that the residents of Megaton huddle inside the city walls for safety. Where then does their food come from?

Keep in mind that I've only visited Grayditch, Megaton, and Super Duper Mart so please don't spoil anything major with your answer. Vague answers are preferred over spoilers. Thanks.

Does an accurately detailed, realistically scaled version of the Fallout 4 map exist? If not, how difficult would it be to make one?

Since the ingame maps are scaled down compared to both their canonical and real life size, has anyone ever made a version of the FO4 map with the more realistic scale? Not just increasing the size either, but also fleshing it out with more detailed areas like the missing suburbs, etc

    Why can’t you smoke cigarettes?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 01:30 AM PDT

I've always appreciated the use of drugs in the wasteland, as humanity always looks for a buzz. I've wondered though: why can't players smoke cigarettes? I initially thought there might be legal reasons barring cigarette use in video games, but then I remember BioShock let's you smoke.

Seriously. This game lets you shoot up Med-X (morphine), insufflate Jet (more addicting than heroin!), inject Psycho, pop Mentats (amphetamine sulphate tablets), drink Nuka-Cola Dark (which has either alcohol or meth in it according to 76).

So why can't we smile cigarettes? Also is weed extinct as a plant?

    Women in Legion Territory

As we've seen in the Legion camps in NV, the women there are little more than slaves and breeding machines. Since those are military bases on the frontlines of an active war zone, I imagine things would at least be a little different for their female civilians. Are women treated just as poorly all throughout Legion territory?

Is there some sort of FO76 lore thread?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2020 12:58 PM PDT

A lot of players, including myself, dont play 76 so we kind of get locked out of the new lore without finding it on forums like this one.

Sorry if this is a stupid or selfish question.
