    High Resolution New Vegas Flag

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 02:09 PM PDT

After I was unable to find a high res image of the NCR flag that looked like the original and not a highly stylized version, I took it upon myself to recreate one. This is the result and I hope this can help anyone looking for something similar in the future!~ Please give me any feedback you have.

Edit:Changed New Vegas flag to NCR (New California Republic) flag so it will populate searches better.

TIL that the Big MT scientist names are actually themed after Infinity.

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 11:28 AM PDT

Never got deep into Mobius' Dialogue but I do always spare him. But it kinda struck me the moment he mentions it. All of them have names referencing different variables/figures for Infinity.

    Klein = The Klein Bottle

Borous = Ouroborous, aka the mythological snake swallowing its own tail.

0 = Not Zero but the letter O, pertains to a never-ending loop.

Dala = The Mandala diagram, in sanskrit, a symbol that represents metaphysical infinity of the cosmos.

8 = The infinity symbol just aligned up.

    Mobius = the Mobius Strip

I think one of my screenshots is haunted?

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 06:43 PM PDT

I was going through old screenshots of my hangman's alley and I found this strange CREATURE?? Idk what it actually is, but it doesn't show up anywhere else or in any other screenshots of the same room at different angles and distances. Lining up the window where its at, it doesn't show up IN the room but it also doesn't look like it's outside of the room in the hall??? Is it a particle effect from one of the crafting stations??? I genuinely need answers!! Hopefully someone else more lore heavy or what have you can identify it, lol.

    What just happened?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 01:24 AM PDT

I've been playing Fallout 4 for awhile. Maybe 2 years. I've played and completed Fallout 3 many times. I fast traveled to the castle today and I heard this whoosh sound. I thought it was a helicopter from the BOS. I looked up and saw a Zetean(is that how you spell them?) ship fly right above me.

Literally never experienced this before. I knew they were in Fallout 3, but I didn't know they were in this game. Maybe I haven't played this game enough 😂. You guys have all probably seen it but I'll send a video of it flying above me. Super cool.

BoS Prydwen Arrival after 9 Hours Play?

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 04:29 PM PDT

Although I LOVE fallout 4, I've never completed it before😅(never had the time). Now I'm only 9 hours in and the Prydwen showed up. It was just after I killed Kellogg and was leaving the building that I saw it fly over head and I have now started all the missions with the BoS on the airship. Is this the correct time for the Prydwen to show up? I'd have assumed it will show up much later in the game?

[New Vegas] I keep randomly dying for no reason and it's driving me insane

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 02:23 AM PDT

    Hi everyone, PC player here.

Introduction : After years of wanting to play New Vegas, I've decided to give it a try. So far I'm enjoying it a lot, even though I've had to download a shit-ton of mods just to prevent the game from crashing every 15 seconds, and to make the experience more injoyable (no running ? really?)

I suspect my problem has to do with mods (I'll post the list down below) but I'm not sure and I can't find any info online so I decided to ask you guys.

The problem : So a few hours ago my character started to suffer from dehydration. After looking up what the hell that meant, I decided to ignore it since I am NOT playing on hardcore mode. However after a while I started to lose some of my S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats, which seemed to indicate that I was indeed suffering from dehydration even though it wasn't even supposed to be activated. Nevertheless I stopped and drank all the purified water I had on me, thinking it would solve the problem. I'll also add that I've had the Vault 13 canteen on me since the beginning of the game, so I'm pretty sure I should have never been dehydrated to begin with.

So anyway after a a few more hours of gameplay my character started dying over and over just as I was walking. I quickly identified the fact that I was somehow still critically dehydrated as the reason why. And obviously drinking water did nothing to help me, since I'm not playing on hardcore mode, drinking water doesn't have any effect besides giving me a few HP.

Then I though that I could outsmart the game. I turned on the hardcore mod first, and then I drank water. And to my relief, it worked ! It only took a few sips of purified water to completely cure my dehydration. At that point as you can imagine, I was extatic. I could finally go back to enoying my time in New Vegas...

Except I keep dying, just like when the game told me I was dehydrated. I'm in the middle of Goodspring. I've got full health. I'm not poisonned. I'm not irradiated. I'm not dehydrated. I don't need food or sleep. I just die, over and over, and the game doesn't tell me why. It doesn't matter if I keep the hardcore mode on or if I go back to normal, I just die. And I'm starting to lose my sanity.

    My list of mods :

    Patches :

    • New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE)
    • New Vegas Stutter Remover - NVSR_4-1-36
    • NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash
    • NVTF - New Vegas Tick Fix - NVTF
    • Yukichigai Unofficial Patch - YUP - YUP FRA
    • JIP LN NVSE Plugin
    • Stewie Tweaks
    • Stewie Tweaks INI
    • The Mod Configuration Menu
    • UIO - User Interface Organizer
    • Unofficial Patch NVSE
    • Yukichigai Unofficial Patch - YUP - YUP FRA

    Graphics :

    • Fallout Character Overhaul 3.0
    • Interior Lighting Overhaul 6-9
    • Nevada Skies - Redesigned DLC
    • Wasteland Flora Overhaul - Fertile Version
    • NMCs Textures NV LARGE Pack Part 1, 2 and 3 FOR NMM

    Gameplay :

    • Just Vanilla Sprint
    • No Witnesses (v3.0.2)
    • Real Recoil v1.2.1

mod for new vegas, quest option by siding or killing mr house, allows you to reopen the lucky 38

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 04:13 AM PDT

an idea for a mod, based off similar ideas, where going through the mr house story line allows you to open the casino, either by siding with mr house, and passing a 50 barter or 65 speech check, or just killing him adding another quest to mr houses storyline, where you have to help liven the place up by finding or forcing people to work for mr house, a stripper/singer who needs a medical check up, a ghoul bartender at the attempting to join the kings, a robobrain , working with the bos to take down the ncr is necessary to complete the quest. either help his squadron invade an enclave forgotten vault or kidnap him. being an old friend of roberts and the grund runner of the casino who'll become a temperory companion for the quest. and lastly a great khan exile, who's a cockyu sly comedian. inprisoned by the ncr. after attempting to kill an ncr soldier abusing a prisoner, rewards vary depending on your success with the amount of character. this mod would make the lucky 38 feel less empty, and give a new interesting approach to the mr house run through, thoughts ?

Who is the toughest raider gang in the series?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 01:52 AM PDT

I'd say probably the great khans in the originals, but with the players help the nuka world gangs could have a lot more power.

Depending on how you look at it, the legion are also a huge group of raiders.

I am experiencing a frustrating game bug.

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 08:30 PM PDT

The bug happens once and a while, when I try to look down the iron sights or scope and it automatically fires the gun "this includes all guns".
But primarily with the rifles it gets stuck reloading until there's no ammo left or you put the gun away I still have no idea how to fix it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Fallout 4 gal playing New Vegas

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 01:42 AM PDT

The only Fallout I've played is #4 and I just dipped my toes into New Vegas, after hearing it was arguably the best in the series. Already, I love the way they do the perks better than FO4. Having never played FO before #4, I didn't understand the perk chart until 25% was useless due to how far I'd gotten without any. Excited to see where this leads. :') Happy quarantine

Will there be a Fallout 5 or some other Fallout game soon ?

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 09:44 PM PDT

Was reading here and there. All that looks is a funny attempt at a Fallout movie witch is being started and canceled since 98. Alot of people say bethesda are being occupied with the trainwreck that was 76 and The Elder Scrolls witch is logical considering its a older and more famous title. Wonder if they can do the same as with New Vegas. Get Obsidian to work on it. As far as i know and saw, people loved NV as it was better than 3. And werent some of the people working on NV the same that madr Fo1 and 2 aka Black isle studios ?

How many of you saved Synth Shaun?

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 06:06 PM PDT

When you play a non-Institute ending, you are met with Synth Shaun asking to be saved from the nuclear detonation. How many of you saved him?

I personally was really skeptical since for all I knew Father could have programmed Synth Shaun to disintegrate us into a pile of ash with a laser rifle in our sleep. It was really suspicious of Father to want us to raise Synth Shaun. Anyway, I saved Synth Shaun but left him at the Prydwen.

Also, as a side note, I felt the Railroad ending missed an opportunity with Shaun. If you don't save him, Tinker Tom plans to take him anyway. There should have been some dialogue later in the game where you ask Tom about Synth Shaun to learn that he just vanished or something, giving off something sinister still going on.

The Moment Fallout 4 Stole My Heart

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 08:56 AM PDT

110 hours in and 35 levels on, it's sufficient to say I am hooked on the Fallout chem. It is my first venture into the lore and deeply satisfying. The moment I escaped Vault 111, saw the wilderness of Commonwealth and heard the brilliantly heart-wrenching tune of Inon Zur's music theme, I was like, Oh Boy, I am for a wild and long ride.

This was my first impression. Fast-forward a couple of hours later, I am on the roof of Fort Hagen with my loyal sidekick Dogmeat and my buddy Nick, seeing Prydwen arriving into the scene with all its mighty glory. Yeah, many holy shits were muttered during this encounter. I thought then how cool would it be to follow this ship and find where it is headed, and maybe if I am lucky, get on board and explore it? But then in games usually such badass moments are cutscenes and it hardly if ever impacts the environment, which remains static and as same as when you first walked in. Imagine my surprise to realize that the ship actually becomes a visible landmark and yes, you can visit it and see that it is full of people and things you can interact with. As a die-hard fan of environmental storytelling, this was the moment that I have fallen head over heels with this game and to this time, remain constantly amazed - case in point, the Last Voyage of USS Constitution quest.

Now, what was the moment that made you fall in love with this game? Or any Fallout game for that matter.

    Fallout 4 settlement building

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 04:58 AM PDT

I was told to go to r/fallout to shit on the game and have irrelevant discussions now I will do so... The fallout 4 settlement building makes no sense and doesn't fit into the fallout series it allows to build entire settlements withing a few ingame days you can easily gain new settlers as well. If that was possible then how are there so few big settlements? It makes no sense I don't like it and it's also something that was never in a fallout before have fun agreeing with me I obviously don't care about different opinions thanks. Feel free to leave a downvote much appreciated. zubYEP

Where can I play Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 04:56 AM PDT

    Hello everyone!

So far I have acquired every Fallout game in the series that I'm aware of except for one, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. I'm aware of the community perception of the game being bad, but I'd like to still be able to play it so I can have completed every game in the franchise (even if that seems like a silly achievement). I've been looking recently with no success, so I was hoping that someone here could help point me in the right direction. If any of you know of a way to play the game now, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you all so much in advance, have an amazing rest of your day!

There is no known way to know if a human is a synth, except for Danse (DNA comparaison). So why the Scribe in the Prydwen wouldn't studied a living specimem like in the Covenant bunker? This is just non-sens

Looking for help with mods for New Vegas.

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 08:01 PM PDT

Hey, so I'm about to play NV for the first time and was wondering if there are any mods I should download before starting? Played a little of FO4 a while back when it came out, but I've had NV sitting in my steam library forever always hearing such high praise for it, so I'd figure I'd give it a go. Any tips are welcome. Thanks in advance!
