    how to guide

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 08:29 AM PDT

New vegas ultmate edition on the xbox 1 seems to be giving people issues, heres how to fix it according to my knowledge, this might die in new but hey it might help some

so when installing the game, only use disc two, never use disc one. disc 2 will install dlc plus game data and you can play from disc 2, once you load up your game this way you will get dlc to work

IF you have installed with disc two and played on disc one, uninstall everything and use the information above

hope this helps some of yall

    Returning to the Sierra Madre

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 01:06 AM PDT

For those of you who completed Dead Money, how many of you actually volunteered to go back to the Sierra Madre in a different run-through?

I'm going to go back in my current run-through but am dreading the pain and suffering of the whole place... but the rewards are worth it... also it's the only place left where I am aloud to gamble.

So, who will return to the infamous Sierra Madre? Or who will let go and never return?

For a similar question, who dreads going back to this DLC? It's a pretty good DLC but it's pretty brutal.

I recently bought New Vegas during the steam summer sale on my low end laptop. What are some mods that could help me boost performance and limit crashes? Any help is appreciated.

    Strange bug in followers safehouse

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 03:01 AM PDT

In my play, the Dr is frozen in place, with the eyes closed, and if I try to talk with her a message says that she's unconscious.

I can kill her, though, by punching her a few times.

Logan's Plasma Spaz Build for JSawyer mod

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 06:30 AM PDT

The JSawyer mod changes a lot of things, including Logan's Loophole (now capped at level 21, so no more Laser Commander), Plasma Spaz (also increases rate of fire) and Meltdown (now only works with plasma weapons). I thought I'd share a fun build I've been playing with these changes in mind.

The main aim of this build is to use Logan's Loophole and Chemist, along with Plasma Spaz and Meltdown to go on drug-fuelled VATS rampages, while packing as many skill points into 21 levels as possible.

I definitely wouldn't recommend this build for new players because of the low strength, which will eventually be 5 after OWB and getting the implant, (should be done ASAP). You'll only have 70 carry weight at the start, which makes inventory management important.

    SPECIAL, Traits and Tagged Skills

    Strength 2
    Perception 5
    Endurance 4
    Charisma 1
    Intelligence 10
    Agility 9
    Luck 9

    Traits
Logan's Loophole (Chems last twice as long and never get addicted, capped at level 21)
Skilled (+5 to all skills, -10% experience gained)

    Tagged Skills
    Repair
    Science
    Energy Weapons

    Implants
Strength early on so you can use plasma rifles
Perception before level 16 to take Better Criticals
Luck to maximise critical hit chance.
Then you'll have to decide between DT and Agility.

    Perks

    Light Touch - Level 2
Crit chance + 5% and crit resist 25% when wearing light armour
Requires 45 Repair skill (This is why repair is tagged)

    Educated - Level 4
    +2 skill points per level
Gotta pack as many skill points into 21 levels as possible

    Vigilant Recycler - Level 6
    Optimised ammo recipes
    Requires 70 Science skill

    Commando - Level 8
Increased VATS accuracy with two-handed weapons (plasma rifle)

    Plasma Spaz - Level 10/12
-20% AP cost and +20% attack rate for plasma weapons
    Requires 70 Energy Weapons skill

    Finesse - Level 10/12
    +5% critical chance

    Chemist - Level 14
    Chems last twice as long
    Requires 60 Medicine skill

    Better Criticals - Level 16
    +50% critical damage
Requires 6 Perception so you need the implant before level 16

    Meltdown - Level 18
Kills with plasma weapons emit a harmful corona
    Requires 90 Energy Weapons Skill

    Grim Reaper's Sprint - Level 20
Restore 20 AP for every kill in VATS

    Equipment

    Q-35 Matter Modulator
This unique plasma rifle has increased crit damage, as well as crit chance. It's found in the REPCONN Headquarters behind a 100 skill lock/terminal and requires 3 strength.

Any light armour, but Joshua Graham's Armour or Ulysses' Duster give bonus critical chance, as does the 1st Recon Beret. (I'm bored of wearing these things)
