The Prydwen is actually ridiculously massive, and I have the math to prove it Posted: 12 Jul 2020 02:52 PM PDT I just came across this post, and the comment by the OP that the Prydwen seems too small to carry a large number of people. It's something I read often here, but as also often noted, in-game distance and sizes of objects and settlements are often severly downscaled to what they are in-lore, but I was interested in how much exactly for the Prydwen, so I did the math from the one bit of info we get about the size of it (other than looking at it, which as often established here, is not always accurate): Maxson's irritated comments when the Sole Survivor questions Proctor Ingram's abilities before going through with teleporting into the Institute:
That's 80 million lbs. That's about 300 times the weight of the famous Hindenburg. It's also explicitly stated as filled with Hydrogen ( Those estimates are assuming Maxson number is the Prydwen's max carrying capacity. If it is just it's empty weight, you'd have to add the weight of all crew and equipment, increasing the need for more lift and Hydrogen and therefore it'd be even bigger. Looking at that, it makes sense why according to Kells it took two whole years just to gather the materials [link] [comments] |
More questions about the Minutemen Posted: 12 Jul 2020 07:57 AM PDT
5.Is it possible for the Minutemen to get rid of all the Raiders, Supermutants, and Ferals in the commonwealth?
EDIT 7. By the end of Fallout 4 how many people do you think are in the Minutemen? [link] [comments] |
Is there any BOS chapters in Canada or out of the United States? Posted: 12 Jul 2020 09:37 PM PDT So I'm pretty sure Maxson contacted Tagerdy in Appalachia to organize the Brotherhood of steel there; if I'm correct. So is there any proof he contacted Army remnants outside of the states or even in Canada? Or is there none? [link] [comments] |
Why is there no form of hazmat power armor? Posted: 12 Jul 2020 09:36 PM PDT Recently i went through halucigen inc in fallout 4 and i was thinking about how to protect my character from the gas. So i looked on the wiki for what protects you from halucigen and i learned that wearing a hazmat suit will keep any negative effects from the gas harming you but wearing power armor does not provide the same protection with a full suit of any power armor type. Was gaming a thing before the war Posted: 12 Jul 2020 06:03 PM PDT Ik of robco fun and all that but was there actual gaming [link] [comments] |
What was the Ncr's goal for when they defeat Caesars legion? Posted: 12 Jul 2020 10:37 PM PDT Like do they conquer the land or do prop up governments in those regions once belonging to Caesar's legion that like them. [link] [comments] |
What’s up with Sentient Mr. Handys and other General Atomics Bots? Posted: 12 Jul 2020 12:35 PM PDT In Fallout 4, there is an extremely broad range of sentience amongst robots that are seemingly the same or similar models. Codsworth, Curie, and even the one control bot at the Galleria seem to be entirely sentient beings, with a couple prerogatives attached. Yet other robots like generic Mr. Gutsys just say the same lines over and over again, and Mr. Handys in the hospitals and nursing home of Boston seemingly can't even tell the difference between the Sole Survivor and ex-patrons. Curie can have her consciousness transported into a synth, while the Mr. Handy at Greengarden tries to give you a blown up car. So why such a massive spectrum of sentience for seemingly the same robots? [link] [comments] |
Why was the oil important at the time of the great war? Posted: 12 Jul 2020 10:34 PM PDT Well this question might be a bit basic, but to my understanding, the great war was triggered because the world's oil reserves were running out. How is this relevant if nuclear power was so mainstream it was used even on TVs and I would assume pretty much everything? [link] [comments] |
What’s the deal with the Vault 3 jumpsuit upstairs at Mick and Ralph’s? Posted: 13 Jul 2020 01:41 AM PDT Are they traders from Vault 3? Is the jumpsuit just a unique souvenir? Is there any lore on why it's there? This has been bugging me for years [link] [comments] |
Did the elder scrolls become fallout Posted: 13 Jul 2020 01:29 AM PDT I have a theory that the world the elder scrolls takes place in changed either from the loss of mana in the world or super quickly from a magical implosion [link] [comments] |
How big is the NCR population wise? Posted: 13 Jul 2020 01:17 AM PDT I have heard many say around 700k by the time of Fallout 2 but some say that's the population by new Vegas so which is it? [link] [comments] |
[SPOILERS] What's the deal with Gauley mine? Posted: 12 Jul 2020 04:19 PM PDT Why did robco build the cache there and how did the miners not notice? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 04:17 PM PDT So what I mean is like are they more man or mole? Why don't they attack mole rats? Do the mole miners and the mole rats have the same relationship as super mutants and there hounds? Why doesn't the purveyor attack us? Do they remember the past before the bombs fell? how did the miners suit infuse with the human skin? [link] [comments] |
