This is mostly for world building purposes for my own OC. I'm sure someone who's been cooped up in a relatively sterile environment would run into issues getting used to such a drastic change.

For instance: I'm assuming their eyes would have some difficulty adjusting to the brightness of the actual sun, given that they're so used to the florescent lights prevalent inside Vault 101.

Edit: I'm also aware of their brief exposure to the wasteland as an infant, since they were born outside, which helps their cause at least a little bit. Someone who was raised in the vault for most of their life however, would certainly have to get used to the unfamiliar elements that the wasteland would offer them (ex: disease, climate, etc). I'm wondering about how they'd cope with that, especially during the initial days outside the vault.

Did people from pre-war america near the end of war known signs that a collapse and end of 'america' as they know it about to happen?

Like if you aren't Nathan and Nora that live in a good gated suburb, how was living in america like during that time? Were there signs that bad things were about to happen if you lived near the time when the apocalypse was about to happen?

Edit: what i meant by people knowing is even the average people knowing it, like maybe for example someone in the cities witnessing constant riots and seeing the signs that things are about to go bad and maybe proto-raider gangs already forming?

I was wondering since a bowling alley in town is called Beaver Creek Lanes. So is the town called Beaver Creek or am I just an idiot and it's Far Harbor?
