[FO3] Game doesn't seem to be reading the .ini file Posted: 28 Mar 2020 10:32 PM PDT First of all, I checked to make sure FALLOUT.INI is not on read only. It's not.Pretty much what I'm trying to do is change my FOV permanently, because doing it after every launch in the console is annoying. In my fallout.ini file, at the bottom of [Display] I have: fDefaultWorldFOV=90 fDefault1stPersonFOV=90.0000 This was supposed to change the default FOV to 90. It's not working. I tried adding both of those to the bottom of [Display] in falloutprefs.ini also, but that didn't work either. I tried adding sStartingConsoleCommand=fov 90 90 right under [General] in fallout.ini, which was supposed to change the FOV automatically whenever I launch the game, but that's not working either. ​ The final thing that I tried was making a file named cmd.txt, containing "fov 90 90" and putting it in the same folder that fallout.exe is in. I added "sStartingConsoleCommand=bat cmd" right under [General] in fallout.ini. Didn't work. So far I've had no luck and it's starting to infuriate me. Need help finding a location! Posted: 28 Mar 2020 09:05 AM PDT Hey all, I've started a new quarantine playthrough with my new edition (all DLC's) and I'm really really enjoying it. There's a location whose name and map spot I can't recall and I'm hoping someone out there can help me. It's a garage or workshop of some kind, located near a crossroads, and also i *think* a metro entrance. North of downtown, maybe northwest? The really nice thing about it is there's a hatch to the roof and a chair already set up there. You can sit on the roof and watch the sunrise/set. One time i was sitting there and watched a brotherhood of steel team and a merc team approach from different directions, run into each other at the crossroads, and take each other out in a pitched gang battle. I always thought of this place and want to make it my headquarters this time instead of the regular Rivet City/Megaton track. The garage has some useful things in it, a workbench I think and a bed etc. It's on the north side of the street if that helps. Thanks guys. submitted by /u/boomadley [link] [comments]

Fallout 3 for PS3 freezing/lagging Posted: 28 Mar 2020 02:33 PM PDT Hooked my PS3 back up. I got a lot done in the game, most side missions, main story and a couple of the expansions but stopped because I couldn't take 10 steps without the game lagging then freezing. Modded FO3 CTD Loading Cells Posted: 28 Mar 2020 01:58 PM PDT Played the game unmodded first. Worked perfectly fine, with the trick to get it running on Windows 10. After installing popular mods, the game CTDs almost every time I open a door in Megaton. I haven't been able to test it anywhere else, as the game just crashes constantly. I started a new game with alternate start--FWE. Worked fine until I made it into Megaton. Crashed when I attempted to enter Crater-Side Supply. I hope someone can help out. Dying to play this game, and have spent two days trying to fix this. I've used the multicore threading fix, stuttering fix, and a mode named "Error Corrections - Reduce CTD"- https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/16490 I've tried windowed mode, lower settings, new games, all popular responses I can find. You'd think it were my load order or a mod conflict, but LOOT doesn't show any important issues. If you have any thoughts, please express them. I got fallout 3 goty pc but the dlc aren’t appearing Posted: 28 Mar 2020 10:35 AM PDT I have clicked the data files on the launcher and verified integrity of game files but still, nothing. The downloads tab on the game menu is even greyed out. I have never played the dlc of f3 and I was so excited.
