Are the Big MT Facilities "Sentient"? Posted: 29 Dec 2019 06:27 PM PST In the ending(s) of Old World Blues, it talks about the various Facilities as if they're alive and aware of the Courier. For example, the X-13 Facility felt "warm" after upgrading the Stealth Suit many times or the X-8 Facility determining that the Courier had no idea what "Communism" or a "High School" was. With the way the endings are read and narrated, you would think these places are alive. [link] [comments] |
Why is so little known about Vault-Tec? Posted: 29 Dec 2019 05:08 PM PST Throughout the Fallout franchise, we go through terminals, holotapes and notes in every Vault, and visit regional offices, but end up not finding much in the way of prewar lore. We don't know who the CEO was, let alone the reasons behind their Machiavellian social experiments. Who was funding these experiments, and were there ulterior motives other than "societal preservation"? Vault 76's Overseer received an all-clear in 2102, so you'd think someone from Vault-Tec was around postwar. You'd also think the company's data would be backed up on each Vault's mainframe. Fallout 1 gets the closest to the Los Angeles HQ, but provides little lore other than their involvement with FEV experiments in the LA Vault. I'd love to play a "Fallout LA" and scour the HQ for lore. [link] [comments] |
why has no one fixed up cars and drove them Posted: 29 Dec 2019 08:50 PM PST i know this probably gets asked alot but why arent there any cars? if they could salvage whole towns and advanced weapons then why has no one ever fixed up the cars? [link] [comments] |
How are General Atomics' and RobCo's robotics A.I developed? Posted: 29 Dec 2019 02:57 AM PST Throughout the Fallout franchise, it is noticeable that many models of General Atomics' and RobCo's robots' A.I is incredibly intelligent, and capable of speech that couldn't have been programmed. Codsworth is the obvious example, with him being capable of showing genuine emotion to the player as time goes on. But even Muggy from Old World Blues is a good example. It's obvious he's been programmed to be obsessed with mugs and to be self aware, but he thinks and it's clear neither are just a string of code, designed with automated responses. So my question is, how? [link] [comments] |
I have two questions about vehicles that are in Fallout 76. Posted: 29 Dec 2019 07:42 PM PST 1- Why are these two vehicles of Soviet origin? http://www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=156782 http://www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=155501 2- Why are they so clean after several decades? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Dec 2019 12:03 AM PST In Fallout 4, you need to get a courser chip, but from memory I don't know what it is used for? I have repeatedly gone over it in my head and I can't remember why it is necessary to the story. Please help [link] [comments] |

Will the world's vegetative ecosystem ever truly recover? Posted: 30 Dec 2019 12:21 AM PST I was walking with piper when she made a specific comment "I'm surprised anything still grows around here." which tells me, nothing is recovering and it's just a near wipe out of plant life. I just wonder if there is any in-game evidence of when or if the world's vegetation will ever be back to it's pre-war state. Some forms of radiation lasts for thousands if not millions of years and so far in the fallout world, we see little sign of post fallout radiation dying down. In the fallout world, radiation seems a lot more devastating to plant life than in our reality so there's that as well.. (We see honest hearts but I thought those plants grew back because of the vault 22 spores that were present within the vault dwellers in the area.) [link] [comments] |
Will the forest region of Appalachia eventually be destroyed? Posted: 29 Dec 2019 07:37 PM PST So the toxic valley is north of the forest region and All that separates thousands of gallons of toxic glowing, ashy water from the verdant forest is a crumbling dam. It's only been 25 years since the bombs dropped in 76 and the grafton dam looks beaten and battered so surely before long it would break and flood any region south with highly irradiated water, thus destroying the last slip of normal(ish) Flora and fauna in America. Is Appalachia the last place with surviving flora and is all of America doomed to the fate of Boston or dc? [link] [comments] |
