Did Pre-War Ghouls Anticipate the Great War?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 11:46 AM PST

I don't mean anticipate like, "did they know it would be X day," I mean was it pretty much widely accepted that one day nuclear bombs would drop on America? Do we learn this through interactions with pre-war ghouls? If so, which game? Thank you all very much.

Edit: "Pre-War Ghoul" refers to a non-feral ghoul who was alive (as a human being) at some point before the Great War.

Edit 2: further clarified a pre-war ghoul. Guys, the question isn't "were there ghouls Pre-war" the question is did the humans alive before the Great War have any inkling as to the devastation that would be caused by nuclear fallout? Did people, en masse, train for it? For the survival scenarios?

Are there horses in the wastes?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 04:59 PM PST

I ask this because I noticed that the NCR Ranger patrol armour has what appears to spurs. As the patrol armour is supposed to be handmade post-war in the NCR they must have been put there for some purpose. Is that purpose merely aesthetic or is there any evidence they are there to aid the riding of horses or some other wasteland beast?

According to the newest CC the BoS straight up abandoned DC.

    Should we consider this Canon?

The new CC mod about going back to DC explains that the reason they sent for help was because the BoS have straight up abandoned the DC area.

It could easily fit with a lot of theories on FO4s main story, but it's also a CC mod.

Is there any evidence of sentience among protectrons?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 04:21 PM PST

There are numerous sentient Handy's, a handful of Sentry and Assaultrons.

But have there been any Protectrons that had more than vocal quirks installed?

Such as the new Minutemen vs. Gunners and Capital Wasteland Mercenaries mod, or the mod that adds Tunnel Snake Ghouls and confirms Wally Mack's death?

How did Ruzka the circus bear survive for hundreds of years on point lookout, seeing as she/he was around pre war?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 01:20 PM PST

Bears can't live for hundreds of years, I'm pretty sure of that one.

Clearly she/he has mutated into a Yao Guai since then, so can they live for hundreds of years? Are they just pretty much 'ghoul bears'?

And what exactly is Ruzka eating to survive? Grass? Stray explorers and swamp folk that accidentally stumble upon him/her?
