Why did the US develop pulse weapons?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 08:40 PM PDT

From what I've learned, America had the best robots and had power armor. Why would they make weapons that excell at killing those things? Or did the Chinese have better robots?

How did Mr. House get so rich?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 07:56 AM PDT

This isn't how he got his prewar wealth, but Post War. I was playing a "murder everyone" play through and I was listening to Yes Man explain about Mr. house and the fact he had spent 812,545 caps in 2280 alone to find to find the platinum chip. He became active in 2135 and finally found the chip in 2281. So how did he fund himself?

-trading would of been slim because isolation (can't really trade with the Boomers or fiends. Maybe the Khans).

-the NCR only showed up around six years before the events of NV. So no trade or tourism.

-Brotherhood would of tried taking him down because of his securitrons.

-legion would of tried to conquer him.

-if he only spent 2200 through 2280 looking for the chip at the expense he did every year that's about somewhere around 65 million caps. Prewar money was useless by the time he "woke up".

    Other factions in 2281?

    Posted: 11 May 2021 02:44 AM PDT

In addition to NCR and Legion, are there any other major/minor factions in the west coast?

I remember that there was this Fallout-related mod for some strategy game that had tons of other factions on the world map but I have no idea how lore-friendly that is. But remembering that got me interested since I don't remember if there were any references in NV.

Like, are there any other neighboring factions for Legion? NCR? Are there any faction east, south or north of Legions borders or just scattered tribals?

    Who construct all the vaults?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 09:47 PM PDT

    Got 3 questions for it;

    (i) is it the labours/robots (ii) how did they dig and put all the complex steel below ground since it might costs millions of dollars for a single vault, (iii) how did VaultTec got so rich?

Is there a reason that Mr. Handys are armed with military grade flamethrowers?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 01:00 PM PDT

Just curious. Also in Fallout 1 and 2 Mr. Handys came equipped with miniguns. But were usually only found in military installations, so it makes sense. But why did civilian versions come with military grade flamers?

How come the Brotherhood in fallout 76 are more akin to Lyons BoS than the original back west?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 04:42 PM PDT

I mean why is this sect out East recruiting soldiers, and asides from that because there are definite reasons for that; why is the head of that sect acting more like Lyons than Lyons did? She's most definitely all for the people and from a BoS perspective how was she even made leader she's the opposite of xenophobic

How did the Pre-War US Commonwealths work?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 12:29 PM PDT

How much land does the East Coast Brotherhood of Steel control?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 02:05 PM PDT

So we know they moved north to the Commonwealth but do they have a significant presence in the states flew over such as Maryland,Delaware,New Jersey,New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut or did they just drop in to salvage tech and move on to the next area?

In Fallout 2, Why do the Shi have such advanced tech?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 02:19 PM PDT

The Shi are packing some serious firepower in many of the shops within Shi town and they have made huge technological leaps in terms of science. Is there any explanation for why this?

So what was the Master's plan?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 10:26 AM PDT

It's been a year since I played my first Fallout game and there is something I don't fully understand. What was the Master's plan? Did he wanted to create one race of super mutants so they prosper in the Wasteland? Or Master wanted to absorb all living beings into himself? From what I know, he did it with some people. And all these talks about Unity can be interpreted in creation of one living being of many. I confused.

P.S. Sorry for any mistakes in this post, english not my first language.

Why Magazines disappear when you use them in Fallout 3, and Fallout NV.

    Posted: 10 May 2021 01:39 PM PDT

Well magazines, it may or may not make any sense when it magically disappears when you use it. But. In Fallout 4 it's illogical. An atomic blast somehow didn't ruin that one magazine on the counter of your house. But in Fallout NV and Fallout 3, due to the fact the magazine survived with everything on it seems a bit far fetched. When you use it, the magazine crumbles. That's why it is removed from your inventory when you use them. Though I don't have an explanation as for why ruined magazines don't crumble. Books give you permanent effects. Just something I took into mind heh.
