    Game crashes when I search things

    I've started a new game and I've played up To the point where you kill cobb and help ringo but if I search anything and go over to the right side of the search screen the game crashes, I have mods installed which are the sprint mod, Yup unofficial patch, Jip NVSE, lStewieal's tweaks and the unofficial patch plus, does anyone know how to fix this issue?

    Finally got a better laptop over the holidays and decided to pick up my old save file of New Vegas again. It's been about a year since I last played because my computer couldn't play it anymore and it would crash every time I tried to play.

    I have all the DLC's and my renewed interest is the newest DLC type mod that just came out? Is it any good? I don't remember any of the mods that I downloaded off of nexus. What do you recommend other than the fixes. TIA.

    Is there any mod that allows me to pick whatever perks and s.p.e.c.i.a.l i want without the limit thing? I don't want to maks it out i just want to pick all the ones that i want.

    Can I use, for example, the Big Book of Science twice for a permanent total of +8 to Science? Or can you only use each kind of skill book once per playthrough?

    Fellas, an old save from the vanilla game has gotten very fragile and crashes over nothing. This never happened before. Could anybody please help me? It's an important save.

    Hey fellas, how are you all doing today? A good Monday to you all.

    I'm a huge New Vegas fan and I have a save from 5 years ago, a save which has sentimental value for me, in which I did mostly everything. I opened a few days ago this save to get the remaining achievements I never got, but realized that now this save... crashes for almost nothing.

    Just passing the mouse through certain things makes my game crash.

    Ruining this save would be kinda sad frankly. This save is from the vanilla game, every now and then I got back to it and never had an issue.

    But a few months ago I did a modded run. I finished it, and uninstalled all the mods one by one. Then I opened the save, played 5 minutes, and left it there. Haven't opened it since then, but now, when I do, it's very very fragile. That run had 90 (ALL minor mods though) mods, installing all of them again would take me a lot of time.

    My game has 0 mods right now. Could anyone please help me on this? I'm genuinely clueless.

    A potentially important sticky thread for this sub. We need to address modding basics.

    Recently started following sub, noticed a user mention that Qolore's guide should be stickied. Fair point, brushed it off.

    After a few days around here, and given that there are currently no sticky threads anyway. Please lord, sweet baby sub mods, sticky post Qolore's guide and help these kids out. People are MASSACRING their game files with beginner modding mistakes. And it's arguably the most repetitive post on the sub.

    I know there's a sidebar (nobody reads reddit sidebars), I know theres an entire sub and discord devoted to fallout modding, I know most people don't care...

    But why not? You'd be helping a LOT of people and making the sub a touch easier for diehard fans to navigate with one simple sticky thread. Doesn't even have to be a thread. Just link to Qolore's guide, lock post, CAPS LOCK letters saying READ THIS BEFORE MODDING FNV etc. etc.

    Thanks for coming to my ted talk my names actually ted and for the cost of just one sticky thread you too can save precious FNV game files from untold abuse...

    Question: Looking for a mod for slow role play gameplay?!

    I like to play slow meaning I have the underground vault mod, and I like to walk around spend time in my vault I have animated eating drinking smoking etc Ezekiels project is key too. The feeling of playing the game know outside is dangerous is so calming especially with that mod (H.E.I.D.I makes for a real immersive feeling, if only the caravan marketplace worked lol) you can even initiate a lock sequence in thefault! That comes with the usual alarms and yellow light me anyways. Would there be some type of mod that will keep me on my toes meaning enemies trying to raid my base?! Or some mod that would provide something that would be more friendly to my play style for example watching tv (not really that but just trying to show how slow I play lol) I finally got everything in my mod list good and something like this would be the cherry on top of the wasteland omelette. The progression of my gear going out and scavenging coming back with food ammo etc and horsing is so fun to me ( not that this matters but I'm playing though dust and going to try obscurum again.) I highly doubt there is something to fit my play style but I'm just casually seeing if anyone knows a mod or is interested in the same play style as I am thanks!!!!

    All I know, is that I need to go on discord first to play, but if it's a mod, does it mean I need mod manager? (I still don't have that, as I still use only one mod, that I just put into files, considering it's only 1 no biggie).

    I am really curious about trying it out, but I would like know required technical stuff etc. before I do.
