So, withering ghouls. What's up with them?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2021 06:03 PM PST

Just started playing FO4 and forgot that they exist. Is their any lore explanation for them? I know occasionally there's debate on this sub about whether or not ghouls actually need to eat/drink and was wondering if anyone has found any other info of em that may point in a direction.

How much is Dean Domino and Vera worth?

The Sierrra Madre is full of gold worth quite a bit but what's the deal with them were they broke or something? Just over-extended? Were they not getting paid enough or were they just greedy?

    Kevlar, Combat Armor and Polymer

    Posted: 29 Jan 2021 10:46 PM PST

Was kevlar invented in the Fallout universe? My assumption is no because we don't see it. With that said, were composite or steel armor plates invented? I know combat armor is made from some material. (Likely not steel because it would be way too heavy, especially going by how bulky the Fallout 4 version is) If kevlar and modern types of body armor plates were never invented, then what is the combat armor made of?

On to polymer. In Fallout 2 we see guns like the P90 and other firearms that have frames made of polymer. Are these polymer firearms still canon still? Just like the picatinny rails, polymer seems a bit off in the Fallout universe. Since Bethesda has focused the art style of Fallout onto a stricter 1950/1960's retro futurism, are these weapons still considered canon? They, like the picatinny rails, don't fit the new art style imo.

Why is the world still irradiated after 200 years?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2021 11:52 PM PST

Most radiation from nuclear bombs dissipates within a few days and absolutely in a few years. Why is the world still filled with radiation in Fallout 4 despite the fact that the Great War happened over 200 years before that?

    Unanswered Enclave Questions

    Posted: 29 Jan 2021 01:57 PM PST

    Several questions:

    1. Was the Enclave a united organization across the post-war US?

    2. How did the Enclave have resources to mass-produce vertibirds, power armor, weapons, munitions, ect when global and US supply lines were completely destroyed.

    3. Did the Enclave have secret factories tooled specifically for the things they built?

    4. How large was the Enclave's military force at its height?

    5. How did pre-war individuals get invited into the group that would become the Enclave in the event a nuclear apocalypse happened? Was it members of a shadowy "deep state"? If so, how and which members of the public were let known of their existence before the bombs.
