- Does the Legion have something against swearing?
- We need a FAQ section
- How were nuclear weapons deployed by the chinese/enemies against the US during the war? Was it by Submarine? ICBM? via Warship? Bomber planes?
- Size of mutant insect colonies?
- Mutations, FEV and radiation
- FO4: Would any form of society be able to exist 200 years after the war without any form of sustain manufacturing?
Does the Legion have something against swearing? Posted: 16 Jan 2021 10:27 AM PST I noticed that when talking to pretty much every member of the Legion, whether they were actively in it or a former member of it, doesn't seem to swear under any circumstances. The only one I recall doing it is Caesar himself. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2021 11:25 PM PST Do not hit me if there already is one, but questions that are objectively answered and asked a hundred times should be on that section, so we can see more original questions. For example, is there a reason "Why there isn't working cars?" should be asked one more time? There are lore wise but we do not see them is a good enough answer I think. Put it in a FAQ section. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2021 04:27 AM PST (also) Was there a deployment type that was more prevalent, or was it a mix of all of the above and not one type of nuclear deployment was more used than others? [link] [comments] |
Size of mutant insect colonies? Posted: 16 Jan 2021 07:44 PM PST Most of the bugs in Fallout are rather large compared to their irl counterparts, the Giant Ant for example is the size of a rather large dog or small horse, and considering that their smaller cousins the Black Carpenter Ants can live in colonies that range on average from ten to twenty thousand workers, with exceptionally large colonies having more than fifty thousand workers. This is rather concerning to say the least and I was hoping you fine historians and adventurers of the irradiated wastes might be willing to share some information that might help set my mind at ease. From the salty bed of Ivanpah Dry Lake to the far off tunnels of Grayditch and the parks of Nuka-World, is there any news of how many of these creepy crawlers dwell within a colony? Posted: 17 Jan 2021 02:21 AM PST So as we know there are many creatures in the wasteland that are mutated from their original form: Mirelurks, Radroaches, Yao Guai, Deathclaws and Radscorpions come to mind. For some reason I have this nagging in my head that these creature's mutations are not solely due to radiation and that FEV was involved. My question is: how many (if any) wasteland creature's mutations are due to either or both radiation and/or FEV? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2021 01:01 AM PST Something I find difficult to believe is that the Commonwealth is able to sustain itself purely off of scavenging and extremely small-scale farming. There would realistically need to be some level of manufacturing and agriculture to sustain places like Diamond City which are described lore-wise as being quite large. Does it make sense that these sorts of settlements could achieve the standards of living they have in order to maintain a large population and a trained security force through simply trading with caravans and scavengers? Its implied through conversations with various characters that places like Sanctuary Hills are relatively unknown, distant areas. So much so that a trading route is not viable or realistic. When you first meet Preston he notes how they're only travelling towards Sanctuary because of Mama Murphy's sight, he's not sure if there even is a Sanctuary. Therefore, it's safe to assume the trading/caravan networks rely on scavenging areas within the more immediate areas of pre-war Boston. If so, I find it difficult to believe that the city (Boston) and its immediate surroundings would still have sufficient pre-war items to scavenge in order to sustain a large city like DC along with various settlements, farms, etc. 200 years after the war ended. The DLC's in Fo4 introduced manufacturing that the SS can use for their settlements. But this is usually small-scale manufacturing to sustain settlements of ~20 people. Even if you make a relatively complex manufacturing system, I feel like it further draws questions as to why larger cities are incapable of also having done the same. [link] [comments] |
