The mod searching on console sucks.

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 10:53 PM PST

You can search specifically what you are looking for, and it won't even be in the search category thing. It's impossible to find any mods. 99% of the mods in the search category don't even have any of the words you put, and aren't related whatsoever. I end up spending hours looking for mods because it's impossible. It needs to be fixed.

As a Fallout fan, I highly suggest "Dr Strangelove" to any Fallout fans!! (Minor Spoiler Warning for the Film)

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:27 AM PST

I am sorry if this is not exactly the right place to post this. I just watched Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove, and I believe many of you fellow Wastelanders would enjoy the movie too! Without giving any big spoilers (but still spoiler blocking it anyway), the movie is about the Cold War and nuclear tensions between Russia and USA, and how the leadership of both countries interacted with eachother. It may sound serious but it is actually a dark comedy and satire of the mentality and leaders of the era. The humor is not quite as goofy as some of how Fallout's humor can be at times, but I believe many Fallout fans would appreciate it's tone, story, and soundtrack.

    Accidentally joined railroad :(

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 06:31 PM PST

New player. Hate the railroad. Accidentally chose them to help me build the teleporter. (I like tinker Tom tho)

Will this affect my game in a major way? I wanted to do it with the minutemen... :/

    Fo4 companion vaporised

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:07 PM PST

So i was playing the BOS nuclear option, and curie, in a full suit of t-60 power armor, fuckin walked right into liberty primes lazer. Shes gone now. I have finished the mission and she is still gone. I also used the vault tec assistance VIP tracker and it points to nothing. What do

EDIT: after further observation, curie is still in the game (sort of) As far as i can tell, her physical avatar, as well as her ability to interact, is gone. However, prompts still pop up for affinity affects

EDIT 2:electric boogaloo: shes back. I died and she reappeared

    Is Power Armor training canon?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 09:29 AM PST

I was wondering if it was canon? In Fallout 4, no training is required. Now, there's loopholes I suppose. Depending on who you pick, the Sole Survivor served in the military. But, what about your companions? How would a nosy reporter from Diamond City know how to operate some of the rarest and admired pieces of technology in entire the Fallout universe?

Is there any lore or context explaining why or how people with no training are able to operate Power Armor?

My hypothesis on how ghouls can help maintain their old world voice

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 09:02 PM PST

As anyone who has played a fallout game should know ghouls on average have a raspy voice caused by their throats and vocal cords being damaged by radiation, but a select few ghouls have been able to maintain their orginal voices. While it is never explained what can cause a ghoul to retain their voice undamaged. I believe I may have found an answer. It's what they drink

I believe that if during the ghoulifacation process if the person drinks liquids that are low in radiation they have a higher chance of retaining their voice

The three ghouls we'll look at are Raul Tejeda and dean domino from fallout new Vegas and Oswald the outrageous from fallout 4. All of these ghouls have their voices intact and all of them share the trait of drinking or at least being very likely to have drunken low irradiated liquids before becoming a ghoul

Dean Domino most likely drank his martinis for most of his ghoulifaction process as it would not only hydrate him to keep him alive and taste better than the irradiated water that would be at the Sierra madre but it would have also taken the edge off and made staying there a bit less shit

Raul Tejeda is known to like sunset sarsaparilla which has no radiation in it's normal form. It's likely that since water would be contaminated with the dead bodies of people and dirt and rubble from things being destroyed from the bombings the bottled soda would seem like a better choice for a drink, plus the added flavor. It's likely that as he was becoming a ghoul he would be drinking the soda more than irradiated water

Then there's Oswald. While Oswald was drinking irradiated water, as he was in nuka-world he and his group would have a large supply of nuka-cola to drink which, while still having rads, has less then dirty water meaning that his throat would've been taking less damage from the irradiated liquids he'd been consuming

This is just a theory though and there are likely more factors to it, the sheer amount of radiation in the area around you, genes and just pure luck along with the other things you've been eating and previous problems with your throat and vocal cords

    St. Louis but in Fallout

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 10:56 PM PST

After taking so many trips to the highlight of Missouri, being a Fallout fan has warped my mind into picturing a ruined Arch and surrounding city, filled to the brim with raiders and mutants. I personally would love to see the culture and buildings of St. Louis turned into a Fallout style wasteland landmark. Anyone else?

    How old is Kellogg

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 05:59 PM PST

In fallout 4 Father is 60, so Kellogg kidnapped Shaun 60 years before the main character escapes the vault. So how old must Kellogg be? He doesn't look too young when he kidnapped Shaun. At the youngest he's 20 so that would mean he's 80 when you kill him! I've been thinking about this recently. Anyone have thoughts about this?

I just can't bring myself to complete Travis' missions this play-through. Even though I've heard them a million times over his erratic style of DJing is one of my favourite things about the radio. Anyone love him like this too??

    Fist of the Nerd Blast

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:56 PM PST

Howdy, wanderers! It's been a while since the last time I've played Fallout 3 and now I want to build a character that revolves around the perks iron fist(to bully the supes), nerd rage(to reach the max DR with simple clothing) and nuclear anomaly(because it's hilarious and it will trigger like a spoiled 8yo). So I'm going to ask you, which perks would better suit this bare-fist character and is there any way to boost the nuclear anomaly blast?

P.S.: General advices are also welcome.

Kinda bummed I can't take a picture but I'm excited to add it to my mercy collection. God bless America and God bless the Enclave. Also does anybody else collect Fallout Faction Flags I'd love to see your collections.
