Do you feel that mods are “necessary” if playing on PC? Posted: 05 Jan 2021 08:55 PM PST *Apologizes if a post like this has been made before, I tried searching but didn't really come across what I was looking for. But if there are any similar posts it's fine to just push me in the right direction and mods (or me) can remove this post! But anyway, I was just curious for those of you that play on PC, do you play with mods and/or maybe feel that using them is almost needed or necessary? Would you play on PC if you couldn't mod? Or do you think it's just fine without them? Of course this is a personal preference question but I was curious what some general thoughts were. I ask because I have a pretty decent PC and have tried modding FO3 a couple of times, but each time I've tried I get CTD's quite often. I also love Skyrim and have the SE edition with about ~205 mods playing with rarely any crashes or freezing so I have some experience modding, although I know SSE has an updated and more stable engine and whatnot. I haven't played FO3 in quite a few years and I'd really like to again, and given that I have a PC I figured why not mod! But given that it's been so finicky I'm wondering if I should just say screw it and play vanilla? [link] [comments] |
