Why is McCarren airport surrounded by walls? Posted: 18 Nov 2020 12:46 PM PST A thought that just occurred to me the other day is that Camp McCarren is surrounded by some high concrete walls. Which is presumably why the NCR Is using it as their primary military base in the region. But why are those walls there? They seem like they would interfere with takeoff and landing for civilian planes, I'm willing to believe that the actual airstrip is longer than we see but I've never seen such high walls around any airport before, military or civilian. Are civilian airliners VTOL in the Fallout verse? Edit: I'm aware that areas aren't to scale, I'm more asking about the 2 story high concrete wall, seeing as that's not a feature I've seen on any other airport. Even the military airbases only have fencing in Fallout, not a massive concrete wall. [link] [comments] |
Why was the capital wateland the worst Posted: 18 Nov 2020 11:34 PM PST I haven't played fallout 3 but from what ive seen i can tell the capital wateland is worse than boston appalachia and the mojave. Boston just looks like it was broken down and put back together this is said in the end cutscene Appalachia looks like it was hit by the worst storm to ever exist and never got fixed aftter years The Mojave just looks like both a high tech and at the same time low tech dessert... because thats basically what it is And the capital wasteland looks like someone just biult a model town for a school project and their little brother fell on it then tried to hide it in the oven that their mom was about to use to cook dinner Why does it look like dust compared to everything else is there information im missing here was dc hit harder than other places? I just want an answer Note: by worst i meant look the worst im not saying fo3 is bad... other than the lack of aim [link] [comments] |
