    Updates from a new player

    Hey guys,

    I posted a while back about being new to the game. Well, I finished my first playthrough! I didn't do any of the DLC yet, but I plan to on my next run, which I'm already doing.

    Anyway, thank you for all the tips and advice. It was really helpful. One of the things that really stuck out to me about this game and why it's so good is that the choices are really meaningful and have consequences.

    For example, in my first playthrough I decided to side with the NCR. Everything was going great. I was almost idolized and then I did Cass' quest a certain way, and well...LOL. Oops, I learned my lesson there.

    Also, I may or may not have encouraged the Brotherhood to change their leadership, but as a result, I later realized siding with the NCR meant I had to kill them. :( Apparently, I might've been able to persuade them to help me if I hadn't helped Hardin so...oops.

    Even though I made a few mistakes like that, it made me love the game even more. What you do has consequences. :)

    So yeah I already started up a new playthrough with a different character. This time I'm planning on having her side with Mr. House so we'll see how that goes, and I'm definitely going to do the DLC this time around and try to do them in order of release.

    The nightkin in black rock cave have some pretty interesting dialogue.

    They seem to have a psychic knowledge on the events of the game, though I had to use console commands to make them non-hostile. They have different dialogue depending on the stage of the game. Some stuff I've heard:

    "Head voices say silver chair flies east." And "Chip is slippery, more slippery than the chair thinks." In reference to Benny.

    "Chip goes when broken man calls!" Probably in reference to House.

    "Shiny screens brighter. Why so bright?" "Shiny screens brighter. Don't let them flicker at me!" Upgraded securitrons.

    "Head voices say Mars angry." "Head voices say new meat will rot in the sun." "When Mars calls, we run?" And more to that effect.

    They comment on companions as well:

    Lily: "Head voices say someone close. Someone like us."

    Arcade: "Head voices say smart man also metal man. Don't like metal men."

    Boone: "Head voices say quiet man knows more than he says about the horns."

    Cass: "Head voices say they knew flower girl's father."

    Veronica: "Book girl has hard decision to make."

    Raul: "Head voices say they know smelly ghoul. He old and good with guns."

    Rex: "Head voices speak of doggy with squishy brain."

    Ed-e: "Funny robot make blinky sounds."

    I couldn't find a full list of their dialogue online, I might look through the GECK myself later to see more cuz it's fascinating stuff imo. Thought I'd have to teach myself how to use it, first.

    Crashed in Xbox 360 controller mode, now my cursor in Windows 10 is totally gone... help?

    Posting this here because I'm hoping someone has perhaps had a similar experience. Running a (heavily modded) version of the game, I crashed it when I accidentally unplugged my monitor, and had to use the reset button on my pc. Now, I have to use the keyboard to navigate through the OS, mouse just stopped working entirely. Anyone know more than me?

    Mojave terror Missing texture error

    ive been trying to install the mojave terror pack so i can use the RPG and i for the life of me cant get the textures to work, ive tried reinstalling, archive invalidation off and then back on, it wont work somebody please help me

    If only the Institute knew of Mr. House and his whereabouts, they could have gave him a synthetic body and the man would live forever, with the Institutes technology and brains along with Mr. house and his plans for the future they could accomplish great things and probably his dream of colonizing space.

    MCM installed but doesn't show up

    Anyone dealt with this problem? MCM is installed and all mods depending on it work fine, but there is no Mod Configuration button when I press Escape during game. NVSE is installed, too.
