| I got New Vegas on steam looking for mod recommendations Posted: 02 Nov 2019 08:03 AM PDT I played it back in the day on the ps3, but that copy doesn't work anymore and I wish to use mods so I bought it on steam. House doesn't have a faction armor. I realize the whole point is that he is independent and devoid of a faction. And what you wear is largely based on how you play. However I think a certain character type would be independent. Just wondering what equipment everyone used when they were doing an independent play through. [link] [comments] | ||
| Entry 3 in the bb gun only run Posted: 01 Nov 2019 03:29 PM PDT So I've decided on doing an NCR run. Mostly because Bardon at the Hoover dam sells thousands of bbs. And I need at least 10k for Quarry junction later on. Oh yes, I'm fucking clearing out Quarry Junction. I want to get a liked reputation with the NCR so that I can go into the NCR safe house. There's a suit of Recon Armor, and some mediocre power armor. I went to Major Dhatri, thinking that doing the bounties will raise my reputation with the NCR. I wanted to get a disguise with the Fiends, because apparently you can talk to the three bounties. Something I've never done. A Fiends set didn't work. And a Great Khan set didn't work either. If anyone knows how to speak with the Fiends, please let me know. I went to Contreras because I know his quest is pretty easy and gets a good reputation with the NCR. I swore his Terminal was a very easy, but apparently it's Average. I didn't have a Science skill of 50 so I went off to kill some fiends. I got one god damn skill point away from 50. And I didn't have a Science Magazine on me. So I looked on the wiki, found one at the Goodsprings school, hacked his terminal, turned him in. And didn't get a liked reputation with NCR. Fuck my life. In the mean time, I went off to see Mr House, convinced Swank to give me my guns and send Benny off to his room, Heard the Iconic "What in the god-damn?" From Benny. Decapitated him. And some Legion scum asked me to join. I started getting high hopes for this run, thinking it's not going to be traumatic. But then I remembered that I have to clear out Quarry junction, and the Legendary Bloatfly. Giving me thar good ol' feeling of worthlessness and dread. That's all for Entry two. I hope I can get Raul at Black Mountain, but in order to do that I can't let him attack anybody. Because that wouldn't count as a bb gun only run. So I need to somehow clear out the Mountain, then get Raul. Great. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 01 Nov 2019 11:28 PM PDT TL;DR at the bottom So I was travelling north of Goodsprings with E-DE and Boone and came across a road leading into the mountain with about 4 or 5 Cazadores. I thought nothing of it since they're too common around this parts but at the distance I see a camp deeper into the mountain, so as the safery first person I am I decided to go investigate. As I got closer there were dead wastelander bodies leading into the camp "poor bastards" I thought to my self as I made my way in. When I got to the camo I saw it was full of Cazadores doing Cazador things. Since I know from past experiences that going guns blazing is a really bad idea I decided to kill them from a distance. After clearing them out I noticed they weren't only wastelanders but they were Great Khans and Fiends too. From a previous playthrough I know Great Khans and Fiends are okish with each other but with random wastelanders I have no idea. So Im quite confused. What I want to know is if theres any quest or note leading here that might explain what actually happened? TL;DR: Stumble across an encampment full of dead wastelanders, Great Khans, and Fiends. Posted: 01 Nov 2019 05:05 PM PDT Hey all, Been playing New Vegas on Steam via a Steam Link, but sometimes (and more and more often to the point of being now nigh-unplayable) it keeps doing this thing where it exits out of the game and back into Steam. The game is still running, and I can get back into it, but after another five seconds or so it keeps kicking me out. If I fight it long enough it'll eventually freeze. Resetting the computer sometimes but not always fixes the problem, or fixes it temporarily. Any ideas what the cause could be or how to fix it? [link] [comments] | ||
