Playing Metro series gave me thinking...

That New York City would be filled with bomb shelters within their subway metro tunnels, hence they probably didn't even need that much vaults for most of citizens when they could use the subway metro for a shelter. Plus, NYC metro is the largest subway transit in the western world. It wouldn't be too farfetched to the idea that in the FO world, they built a number of bomb shelters within these metros.

Has there ever been or could there ever be a civil war amongst the Brotherhood of Steel?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 09:31 AM PDT

I haven't played FO4 for 3 years, but I'm very interested in getting back into the game(s). I have played Fallout 3, NV, and 4. My knowledge is pretty decent, but I have never heard of any hivemind type thinking of the BoS. I know they exist in different regions, but I also know they run differently too. So my question is really, could there ever be a war amongst itself?

In Fallout, why was there such a water crisis in Coastal California? The ocean is right there.

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 05:47 PM PDT

Obviously a nuclear war would greatly impact the climate, but still the ocean is right there. The real droughts in California were caused mostly by agriculture and economics, of which Fallout has neither on a large scale. Surely the need for fresh water in outweighs the cost of desalination (and probably decontamination).

What's the lore behind nuclear winter?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 12:22 PM PDT

The lore of fallout 76 is good but I can't be fucked to play nuclear winter. Can someone give me a rundown on the lore surrounding the vault and tests?

    How does anyone share files??

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 11:45 PM PDT

What is the preferred way to share files in fallout? Every single terminal in the entire series seema ri be a thin client, and the internet is almost non existant. None of rhe terminals have floppy drives other data sharing peripherals with very few exceptions (the ones i can think of are from new Vegas) .

Houses Platinum chip was a completely propertary format that almost no machines existed that could use it. He clearly updates rh3 securations through some type of wireless radio frequency, bur there isn't such thing as a startd wifi protocol in Fallout.

How did anyone share files? Was it just through bbs and primative modems?

What lore aspects of 76 can be salvaged?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 07:13 PM PDT

We all have something in mind when the number is mentioned. That being said, what components that are in the game can actually be humored as lore?

It is known that Vault 76 was real, as well as what its purpose was, but what about anything else?
