What kind of demon children did Fallout Pre-War parents produce that the Miss Nanny was designed with a flamethrower and buzzsaw as default tools?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 02:09 AM PDT

    Seriously?!

The lore clearly says they were designed as more of caretakers where Mister Handy was like a butler, but in the loading screens, and in most encounters, their default tools are the flamethrower, and a buzzsaw. I can understand the claw for grabbing stuff.

Like what were the children getting into?

"Oh! Looks like little Timmy has barricaded himself in his room again, better cut through to get him out. Oh goodness, he's shooting at me. Sir, I request permission to smoke him out."

And God help you if you tried to hold off in a treehouse.

I bet Denis the Menace has a whole new kind of plot line in that universe, especially once Mr. Wilson gets his own Mister Handy to defend against him.

Denise the Commie Menace, and our hero, the aged Capitalist Mister Wilson, and his Mister Handy! Suddenly Denis wearing red overalls makes sense!

Does Nuka Cola Have Something In It Thats Makes It Never Expire?

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 11:05 AM PDT

i seen a video of a man throwing up after drinking a 20 year old crystal pepsi and it got me thinking about nuka cola and how it'd realistically work in the fallout universe

Would you be down with the original fallout on mobile.

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 08:19 PM PDT

After playing through 1, 2 and tactics gotta say, it doesn't seem to hard to boot it over to mobile for convenient playing on the bus or at school. Thoughts?

FO4 Why are the Atom Cats not something bigger??

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 08:30 AM PDT

Out of all the fractions in Fallout 4, the only 2 I really can work with are the Minutemen (of course, they are awesome), and the Atom Cats.

Like, both do good work for the commonwealth and their people. Like fixing the water pump for Warwick. They also know how to use power armor and to modify it, and clearly have their own, nice, community.

So what I was wondering after discovering them: why are they not a bigger part of the factions of the game?? I mean, I've been walking through the wasteland wearing the AtomCats Jacket ever since I found them, they are cool and friendly guys.. There could've been so many more quests with them. But all they really are within the commonwealth is a place to buy/sell power armor parts and modify the armor.. and maybe loot a fusion core and an armor..

HELP!!! I can’t find Nick Valentine

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 11:28 PM PDT

I didn't have ANY settlements unlocked. I just told him to leave so I could get piper. Saw that I needed to start the Far Harbor DLC ran up there. Remembered I had Piper not Nick. So I fast traveled back to diamond city looked on his house, no luck, looked in pipers house, where I left him, no luck again. Finally after googling it, I looked at the quest location, still can find him.

Which Fallout should I start playing first?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 03:31 AM PDT

Recently I bought Fallout 1, 2, Tactics, 3 GOTY, and New Vegas off of Steam, but I'm not exactly sure where I should start. As a newbie to the Fallout games what would be your recommendations?

How do you think a vault that's experiment involved cannibalism would go?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 02:00 AM PDT

Cannibalism isn't uncommon in the Fallout series at all, showing up in Fallout 3 with the quaint town of Andale, and in New Vegas with the White Glove Society. In both of these games, as well as Fallout 4 and 76, the player themself even has the option of being a cannibal.

However, we surprisingly haven't gotten a vault in the series with a cannibalism-themed experiment. There are two methods of the experiment that immediately come to mind: The first is that the vault dwellers would be informed that human meat would be one of the main food sources within the vault. The goal of the experiment would be to normalize or otherwise attempt to normalize the consumption of human flesh. Some people would be absolutely disgusted by the notion, while others would likely be much more accepting or even entirely nonchalant. The second idea I had was that the overseer and high ranking members of the vault would organize the food production so that human meat was discretely put into the food unbeknownst to the vault dwellers. Whenever a vault dweller passed they'd be butchered rather than being incinerated. In shortages of dead vault dwellers, the overseer may organize an abduction of a certain individual or two.

Anyone else always have the problem of under prepping

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 09:59 PM PDT

Wanted this to be a poll but still, just wondered if you all would arrive at your CAMP/settlement/lucky38/megaton house or tower apartment, drop off any cool items you dont plan on using atm put some items up cuz they weigh to much get off for the night etc etc. But then next time your on you decide it's time to get great loot... except you forget that you let yourself 4 stimpacks or forgot to fix your armor/ weapons and end up running the most annoying play that day cuz your to stubborn to give up and go back and end up with the wierdest clips as you find out of the box ways to get past the place

If fallout 1 and 2 were to be remastered would you want the original top down view or first person?

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 10:06 PM PDT

First person would most likely share the same engines used in FO4 and 76 where as the top down would just see a graphical improvement. Thoughts?

Cannot progress the dlc i payed for.... (FO4 PS4)

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 01:26 AM PDT

So im doing automatron, and im at the part where I build the robot workbench. After building it, I then have to talk to Ada and every time I go up to her she repeats the same thing "your return tells me the workbench must be ready" and it doesn't let me progress or talk to her. Ive tried uninstalling and then downloading again, killing her and trying to fix her (cant heal her after killing her), and yet nothing works. Could it be the mods i have downloaded? mostly all just graphic only mods and I have the unofficial patch for ps4 too. Any help? (Ive tried youtube and google)

Suddenly my carry weight dropped massively?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 05:11 AM PDT

    Hello all,

I've been replaying the fallout 4 game from the very beginning on my new series s which allows for 60fps and faster loading screens.

While I'm loving the game massively the game still crashes like every 30 minutes which sucks.

not only that but I'm playing the nukaworld DLC for the first time and now Ive had my carry weight limit massively decresed from 420 to 310 and now even with my basic stuff I've had since like LVL30 now makes me massively over encumbered and I don't understand how i am carrying so much despite not looking like i am.

any idea on how to fix this?

I am About to Play New Vegas for the First Time.

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 08:32 AM PDT

I'm a true Fallout 4 fanboy. It was the first Fallout game I had ever played and I was hooked. Ever since then I got a lot more involved in the community, and I joined this subreddit where people constantly talked about how New Vegas was so much better than 4. I had only seen other people play the game on youtube etc. and my naive self thought it was worse simply because of how dated everything seemed,(gunplay and graphics.) And I would always start a argument that Fallout 4 is better. Yet I came to realize how I still enjoy playing Skyrim to this day even though that game is also very dated without any mods. So today I bought New Vegasw on steam for 3$. I am incredibly excited to start playing this and have high hopes. I will let you guys know how it goes..

Just got Fallout 4 goty edition on PC, what are the necessary mods for a first playthrough?

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 09:36 PM PDT

I'm aware that Bethesda games tend to need mods to make them playable. Before I start a playthrough, I want to know which mods are necessary, like bug fixes, better textures, quality of life stuff that don't change the core gameplay.

What would be your ideal fallout game?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 03:21 AM PDT

I've always wanted to ask more people this question and have always wanted to hear how the fallout community would answer this question, But I've never really found anyone In the community talk about it that much.. and I'm the only person In my friend group who ever really plays fallout, so I cant really hear these answers from my friends.. so I guess I'll ask reddit.

faction ideas, settings, game mechanics, anything you got, put it here.

My idea for a Fallout game set in Russia

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 02:11 AM PDT

The game would take place in the year 2089, and you would play as one of the very few Russian survivors of the Great War, as there were no vaults in Russia when the war happened. You and the other survivors only lived because you ran far away from the explosion sites. But now, something is begging you to come back. You would find out that the US have invaded most of Russia, and that they are planning to terraform and colonise what is left of it. You, along with the other survivors, would have to take back your country before the US does. You'd also be on the lookout for monsters and mutants, as they might come for you.
