What I would imagine Fallout New York to be Posted: 18 Feb 2021 06:06 AM PST The introductory cutscene starts. The camera pans out of a devastated empire state building, just as Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" plays. The camera swings through the city, we see men in Pinstripe suits wielding tommy guns, fighting what looks to be men, in towering bulky metal armor. We see Times Square. The streets are rampant with famine and disease, nothing but ghouls and mutants here. Before the screen fades to black we see the chaos and destruction that has brought this once great city to it's knee. The game starts. You're inside a bathroom staring at yourself through a rusty mirror. The lights are dim and the walls are covered in filth. The floor is wet and the air is cool. This is where you create your character. After finalizing you exit the room and head straight back to the bar so you can finish your drink. You overhear another conversation about the ongoing war for the city, as the infamous Five Families fight for control of it. The bartender walks over to you and says "Hey kid, you got a name?" [ENTER NAME HERE] "Is that so? Can't say I've heard of ya. And if that's the case then you're more than welcome here pal. Before you came in those fuckin' Vinci boys were back harassin' me for protection money, the next time those guinea fucks step foot in here it's gonna be another Valentines Day Massacre." (He proceeds to ask you questions which define your character and backstory.) Before you leave the bartender grabs your arm and says "Take this." (He hands you a 10mm Pistol) "I noticed you didn't have a piece on ya when you came in. And here's some caps" (He hands you 10 caps) "Don't spend it all in one place now ya hear?" You exit the bar and as your head clears you remember the debt that must be repaid. You owe a debt to Brooklyn's Vinci family and he's given you 7 days to pay back what you owe. How you earn the caps is up to you. Don Vinci is patient but not a man to be crossed. He can be found at the Hawaiian Club. "The Gambler" begins his journey. [link] [comments]

Quest that you're pretty sure most players didn't knew existed Posted: 18 Feb 2021 09:03 AM PST I'm on my 5th playthrough and I keep finding new characters, items, dialogue and etc. ( It took my 4th playthrough to find out about Raul! ) Which made me think, what else I've missed? DON'T TALK ABOUT THE QUEST JUST WHERE TO START IT. [link] [comments]

Not able to restore limbs or select them in the conditions tab Posted: 18 Feb 2021 08:44 AM PST I have a completely vanilla install of FNV. My current issue is that I can't select limbs to heal or use doctors bags on my character. So I'm not able to heal my limbs at all. Is this a known bug and is there a fix? [link] [comments]

I have a mod idea and I'm not sure where to begin. Posted: 18 Feb 2021 05:19 AM PST I have zero modding experience. All I've done is port a Skyrim mod to Xbox that was already an 'esm with vanilla assets, so it required literally 2 minutes of 'work'. However. I have always wanted to use the model of the yao Guai hide replacers for the Vexillarius (can't remember which mod it's from, I've only seen it in videos, but I'll have to track it down), but instead of the legion flag on the back, a miniature version of the American flag at the end of Lonesome Road, all as a standalone armor seperate from the Legion in the game, so they can still wear the lore-friendly sports equipment/dog hat model. I have absolutely zero idea where to start and I'm kind of an idiot so I thought I'd get some advice here. What would I need to do, what programs would I need? It's basically just a mashup of already created assets. NOTE: Unless otherwise stated by the author, and I would ask, it'd only be for personal use. I don't have any intention of breaking any requests. EDIT: Just as a disclaimer, I have looked it up, but most tutorials I've found for armor mashups are for Skyrim, and I'm not sure if the same process applies for this. [link] [comments]

Using FNVEdit to edit armor DT? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 09:23 AM PST I like the look of some of the SCAV armors from The Frontier, but the DT on them are so low that my companions won't wear em. I've only just started using FNVEdit because The Frontier is a buggy mess and I sometimes need it to progress, so I don't know much about the program so far. How can I change armor DT with FNVEdit?
