- Fallout 4 keeps crashing whenever I go past CIT. I can't even get to the Prydwen now. I haven't been able to complete a single playthrough because of this bullshit crash. Even running the unofficial patch and makes no difference.

Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:33 AM PST So in my game i romanced Cait, i just felt like she needed someone in her life who wouldn't just use and discard her like a wet rag. But oh my god, that girl is insatiable. Every time i use a mattress to recover HP there she is saying "all that rest is making me tired". I'm like Cait, we are in the middle of the god damn sewer, surrounded by a bunch of raiders, and i just laid down for a second because i am bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. | God I love the limb damage system in Fallout 4. Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:09 PM PST So when exploring vault 88 I was having difficulty with the charred ferals since they're bullet sponges. By some miracle I ended up completely removing all 4 limbs from one of them and not completely killing it. So now I had a charred feral ghoul nugget that's aggressively growling and squirming about. I did the sane rational response and decided that the best course of action was to dedicate the entire vault to this one ghoul. Now I have a complete luxury vault dedicated purely to one lucky bullet sponge. I constantly regret my decision but can't bring myself to just kill it and move on because its to damn funny. I just hope it doesn't despawn if I leave. [link] [comments] |

Especially when talking to hostile NPCs and they are like, "You don't look so tough. I'm going to kick your ass" and then proceed to get mowed down by me while I barely take a scratch. I love space and aliens so that may be way. The technology of the aliens is pretty to look at and I can lay waste to my enemies be it super mutants or enclave soldiers. | Performance issues with Fallout 76 with powerful PC? Posted: 14 Feb 2021 01:15 AM PST So like the title suggests I've been having performance issues with Fallout 76. I just bought the game recently and for the most part it runs smoothly, especially indoors (60-75 fps outside / 140-160 fps indoors). But there are SO many times it will dip into the low 40's and even high 30's and i'm not too sure why because I believe my system should be more than powerful enough for this game. My specs are -Ryzen 7 2700x -EVGA OC RTX 2070 - 16 GB RAM 3200 - B450 Tomahawk - 750 W EVGA 70+ Bronze Peeking at my GPU utilization it never really exceeds 50% (except indoors) and the same thing with my CPU. Temperatures are always okay as GPU never exceeds 73° and CPU never exceeds 70° with an average of around 65°. To be noted I play on a 1440p 144hz monitor and play the game at 1440p! If anyone has any advice or any tips it would be greatly appreciated! I've tried scouring the web and can't really find any useful information! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 14 Feb 2021 12:23 AM PST Hi, I currently have the quest "Mass Fusion" for The Institute, when I relay to them, it says that if I proceed with this quest it will make me a permanent enemy of The BOS. This would be fine for most, but I want to side with The BOS. I have seen other people with this issue and their answer was "Continue the main quest" but this is the only main quest I have left, all of my other quests are either Radiant or DLC. I have also seen other people having the option to inform The BOS but I do not. Any response would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
| Faction Ideas Discussion: Local alternatives to a Brotherhood Chapter Posted: 13 Feb 2021 05:22 PM PST Whether you are in favor of The Brotherhood of Steel as defenders of the Wasteland or think their obsession with controlling technology is holding the world back, I think we can all agree that they're the most widely spread and commonly used factions in the series, and while iconic maybe could use a breather for a game or two. Given how large and varied the US military, police, and government must have been during The Great War and what resources they had access to, its also hard to believe the BoS was the only group to have survived and emerged intact. So, in the event of a Fallout game/setting in which the BoS was absent, what ideas do you have for a good substitute who could fill some of the roles they play in the region? Some examples. -Decendents of some pre-war public authority figures (military, police, DMV, tax collectors, ect) -Maintain and use prewar technology that's generally beyond the knowledge of locals to make/repair. -Not very open to outsiders/strong and tight community. -But still "good" or at least "not evil Enclave" For me, I'll throw out The Aces of Spades; decedents of part of the Army Corp of Engineers who were building/repairing roads or rails for military supply trains heading to the Pacific to support the Invasion of China when the bombs went off. Have access to industrial-grade construction equipment that they have steadily fortified using material salvaged from crashed/abandoned military vechiles along their route, and maintain and patrol the "Free Way" through the center of the region, declaring it sanctuary for any trader or civilian of the local faction traveling along it. So, despite frequent regional conflicts and the existence of raiders, they've been able to keep trade in the region alive. [link] [comments] |
| Issues downloading Fallout: New Vegas Posted: 14 Feb 2021 03:41 AM PST -12Feb2021 Howdy everyone! I'm a U.S. Soldier currently deployed and I'm trying to figure out how to resolve an issue regarding Fallout NV so me and the joes can play during our down time. We've got an Xbox One S and all the DLC for the game but every time we go to download the base game it stops at 4.07GB of 5.51GB, exactly 73.8%. DLC downloads just fine. I actually ended up buying the digital copy in the store while i had the game downloaded through game pass so I could play it offline whenever the WiFi goes out idk if that may affect it, Ran it 4-5 times and still hit the exact same issue. Wifi is pretty fast, averaging 100MB per second so I don't imagine it's that. I've had problems like this before on my personal Xbox but never with fallout. Other games download just fine. Things I've tried to troubleshot are as follows. *Restart *Hard reset *Cancel download for base game and retry *Cleared all save data *Re-Downloaded all dlc before attempting to install base game *smacking the Xbox around while yelling at it If anybody knows how this can be fixed, or has encountered this same problem before please let me know, Thanks and stay safe out there! I just have some questions cause until now I had zero interest what with how bad launch was. what sets it apart from the other fallout games, especially fallout 4? Is it playable solo? The standard edition is only a couple bucks at GameStop but would it be worth it to get the tricentennial or power armor editions? Technology wise is it playable on PS4? In the beginnings of the Far Harbor DLC, DIMA asks you if you are a synth. You, the player would probably automatically say, "of course not! I'm a human being!". But DIMA has a good point: Did you remember anything before the bombs dropped? Now one can argue that of course not, its the beginning of the game, how would we know? But for lore sake, lets just focus on the actual game. Me personally? I think That the Sole Survivor is indeed a synth. Why would Father get you out of Vault 111 only to discover the institute on "accident"? And, why does your character not remember what happened before the bombs? It is also revealed later in the game that the Institute was watching you ever since you emerged from the vault. "The Watchers", as they are commonly called, are institute crows that act as spy's. They were watching you at every moment of the game, when you met Preston and the gang, when you killed Kellogg at For Hagen, and when you were running around diamond city. So what's your take on it? | Yangtze and US Capitalist companies Posted: 13 Feb 2021 08:08 PM PST So I've recently gotten back into Fallout 4, and knowing that I like the Submariners Cap I made my way to the Yangtze. During the mission I was looting the place and I found a Vault-Tec Lab Coat in the crew quarters. I had already seen a few empty bottles of Nuka Cola kicking around, but dismissed these as the crew having left the ship and grabbed some supplies as they slowly succumbed to ghoulish madness. Now the question; Why is there a Vault-Tec coat in the submarine? Is it just a randomised loot code (I recall some weird loot in other Bethesda titles, especially TES), or is it there for a reason that I've missed, such as Vault-Tec existing in some form in China?
