| Why is there an armory in the V.S.S Facility? Posted: 04 Jan 2021 12:05 AM PST What is the purpose of having an armory filled with technology and weapons captured from the Chinese like the Hei-gui suits and Jingwei's shock sword or something valuable like a full suit of Winterized T-51b armor locked away behind a simulation? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 09:39 PM PST Over the years, the community has discussed the possibility of a Fallout game set in China, Mexico, Canada, or several other countries important to Fallout lore. The question is, though, how the language barrier could be solved without breaking immersion. In Fallout, we do see Chinese people and writing- sometimes speaking Chinese, sometimes English. | How Do Synthetic Gorillas Work? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 08:50 AM PST So, it's a major plot point of Fallout 4 that the Institute needs DNA totally untouched by radiation to make their advanced synths, for a similar reason that vault dwellers make ideal candidates for FEV exposure. So I had to wonder the other day, where do the synthetic gorillas in the Institute come from? It was so hard for them to find untouched human DNA that I can't fathom where they'd find a gorilla free from radiation. Why would their requirements be any different for making synthetic gorillas vs. humans? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Jan 2021 11:05 AM PST If the Chinese were easily able to infiltrate Washington D.C. in Fallout 3, so far in fact as to pose as American citizens, and have pro-communist radio broadcasts. Why then is the only evidence left behind of there presence in the Mojave two suits of stealth armor at the dam? Wouldn't the Hoover Dam be a top priority for them? Also, if the dam is such an important power source, why didn't House claim it years before the NCR and Legion arrived. If he has the resources to run New Vegas, wouldn't he also have the resources to get the dam to working order? It wouldn't only solve the power crisis in the Mojave, it would give him more power over the warring factions. [link] [comments] |

| Why did Institute leave other vault 111 residents ? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 05:21 AM PST I have been playing Fallout 4 again with a Institute character. It has been a while since my last gameplay and I think I forgot a lot of plot points. So basically the Institute needed a fresh, untainted stock of DNA for their experiments and found Vault 111, they go in and take Shaun. But why not take other residents, including you and your spouse as well ? Is it explained in any way ? And most frustrating thing for me, they kill our husband/wife, but why didn't they kill us ?
