Out of all the Fallout games, which one to you has the best atmosphere? Posted: 20 Dec 2020 06:02 PM PST In terms of the overall world it has to be New Vegas, the strip's glaring lights with Kay Kyser playing in the background, or heartaches by the number playing while on the side of a deserted road, but I think Diamond City in Fallout 4 at night is my number one pick [link] [comments] |

Posted: 20 Dec 2020 01:36 PM PST Hi everyone, I was just curious to see if anyone could help with this glitch i've been having on the Xbox One version of Fallout 4 Whenever I move forward, my character slows down suddenly, like there are invisible walls in front that appear and disappear. But what's weirder is that it only happens when moving forward, not backwards. Is there anything I can do to stop this? It really takes you out of the game and is very annoying. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Perk idea for a future fallout game Posted: 20 Dec 2020 02:27 PM PST Whenever I'm fighting a group of raiders and or other sentient beings I always question their intelligence, considering they keep fighting after a killed most of the enemies. I've been thinking of a perk where once you've killed half or more of the enemies they surrender immediately, because they see that they're no match for you. I'd call this "The last men standing" perk. Edit: woah first silver! Thank you kind stranger! [link] [comments] |
Anyone got tips for Fallout 1? Posted: 21 Dec 2020 04:19 AM PST I decided that in preparation for the coming apocalypse in 2021, I should play through the Fallout series. Now, I might just be stupid, but I have barely any idea what's going on in Fallout 1 past the main GUI. [link] [comments] |

Happy 10 year anniversary to Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money! Posted: 20 Dec 2020 11:54 PM PST 10 years ago today, Dec 21 2010, Dead Money was released onto the Xbox 360, going on to be released on PS3 and PC two months later. It was the first DLC for New Vegas, and arguably the one that is the biggest mixed bag. In fact, it is the only piece of New Vegas content to get a 'mixed' review, including the base game and Courier's stash and Gun Runners Arsenal. Since today marks a pretty important day for the DLC, I think its a good time to look back on what did, and did not work about the DLC, why it seems to be so conflicted, and a general discussion on the content now that it has been thoroughly picked over and all elements to it discovered. Personally, I find the storyline to be the best of all the DLC's and, since most of the DLCs take the form of one really long quest, this makes it one of the best storylines in the entire game. The idea of a grand hotel that promised so much, the mysterious Elijah, the story with Sinclair and Vera... It all was very interesting. However, I feel like the entire thing fell victim to an 80/20 trap, where 80% of the effort went into the story, and only 20% on making interesting items, quest and level design and hidden things to see and do. The ghost people are just annoying and really dont make much sense. The entire first half of the DLC is dumb, and only gets interesting once you get into the Sierra Madre. Fuck the holograms. And I feel that, since the SM Casino is meant to be this 'jewel' that everyone is trying to find, it was really just a shell, nothing interesting aside from the casino (same as The Strip), and the gold in the basement (which nobody searching for the SM would even know about, so from a lore perspective doesn't make much sense, but maybe I am wrong) I feel as if the DLC could have been much better. Clearly the roots of a fantastic story were there, ready to be made use of. However I suspect, as is the common thread with New Vegas, time and technological limitations led to a dumbed down experience that was annoying for most. What do you all think, is DM simply awful, or is there something special about the DLC. Either way, happy anniversary, Dead Money. I wonder if Dean is still on that stage after all these years.... Fallout 4 question / Possible Perception Glitch Posted: 21 Dec 2020 03:26 AM PST So I went into the HalluciGen, Inc. building on my current play through and picked up the Drugged Water. In an emergency I drank my stock of it (I believe 7 total) thinking the -1 Perception would be temporary with drinking it, turns out my Perception is now at 3 (supposed to be at 10) and hasn't gone back for some time. My question is; Is this supposed to permanently lower your Perception and I'm just a dumbass or is it supposed to be temporary and my game is glitched? I've tried testing to see if it was the Cripples Head bug and it doesn't seem to be the case. Any fix or am I stupid and fucked? Edit: I'm not addicted to anything, have slept, took Addictol etc. [link] [comments] |
Best far harbour ending for money? Posted: 21 Dec 2020 03:23 AM PST I'm doing a play through where I try to make as much money as possible. And I got to the far harbour dlc and can't remember how to get the most caps outta this dlc [link] [comments] |
Classic fallout games are censored Posted: 21 Dec 2020 02:57 AM PST I'm going to play fallout 1 2 and tactics in a few days I've heard that they are censored I have seen people who say it is censored and some people say it isn't I'm just wondering if it's censored or not [link] [comments] |
(Fallout 3) Roy Phillips is an asshole Posted: 20 Dec 2020 04:45 AM PST So I was replaying fallout 3 and I decided to help the ghouls move into Tenpenny tower, I chose the "peaceful route" by convincing Tenpenny to let them move in if convinced or rather kicked out some of the residents and so I delivered the news to Roy and came back probably a few days later to find Tenpenny tower almost completely empty with only Michael Masters and Bessie Lynn in the merchant spots. After asking Michael and Bessie what happened to everyone it became quite clear that Roy kills all the residents shortly after moving in and if you find the bodies and confront Roy about he'll threaten you and tell you piss off. If I hadn't progressed so far after first taking the quest I would go back and kill them instead but In have to much to lose at this point... It makes my blood boil like this fuckstick basically uses you then takes matters into his own hands and so basically I assisted this guy in murdering a bunch of people confirming everyones disposition towards the ghouls in the first place... I think the worst part in all this is the irony of the fact that this is the Good karma choice! Trading all the lives in Tenpenny tower for literally 3 ghouls wasn't worth it. I'm killing Roy and his cronies in future for sure though, he has to be one of the most aggravating NPCs to talk to, he's so rude and hostile and I'm pretty sure you literally don't even lose karma for killing him, like even the game itself thinks he's an asshole. Anyways does anyone else HATE Roy Phillips? [link] [comments] |

FO1&2 for those who didn't play them or did but didn't like them Posted: 20 Dec 2020 06:29 PM PST If you are of the younger generation (I'd say 2000 and younger) and played FO1 and or 2, and didn't enjoy it, I wonder if you tried playing with the character editor, that was basically a save game editor that you could add whatever perks/stats or anything to in order to speed up it change the game. I have played fallout 2 so many times I don't even know how many copies of the game I've purchased. I can however tell you that I will always enjoy punching people to smithereens and having my foes run in fear of my ridiculous amount of stats [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Dec 2020 12:23 AM PST Hey guys can anyone suggest a good youtube tutorial for creation kit. I'd like to rework fallout 4 where the character gets: Talents in the beginning of the came like fallout 1 and 2 There is a skill tree that goes up to 300% like fallout 1 and 2 The skills in the skill tree looks like that of FO 1,2,3 and new vages Perks are gained every 3 or 4 levels If you know of any moders that have already done this please post a nexus link. Thanking yall in advance [link] [comments] |

Posted: 20 Dec 2020 07:49 PM PST SPOILERS: I've gotten to the point in the main game where I'm teleporting to the Institute, but every time I'm at Mercer Safehouse and step onto the transponder (when it starts the cutscene), the entire game shuts down and I end up staring at my desktop. Does anyone know a way around this bug? Do I have to redownload the game? Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Dec 2020 11:00 PM PST I've just finished "Show no Mercy" and I don't know how to continue the storyline with the brotherhood Of steel, is there any Dialogue with any NPC I can use to trigger the next Mission? I'm currently trying to find the institute and make the teleported, could someone help me? [link] [comments] |
Can a Super Mutant beat a adult Grizzly Bear in a fist fight? Posted: 20 Dec 2020 10:20 PM PST Would the outcome be different depending if it's a West Coast SM, Capital Wasteland Mutant, and Commonwealth Mutant? Not including Behemoths for obvious reasons. [link] [comments] |
