If you kill Vulpes Inculta in Nipton, does the NCR ever really acknowledge this? Posted: 30 Apr 2020 05:47 AM PDT Vulpes is apparently responsible for the Nipton massacre, the capturing of Nelson, the destruction of Camp Searchlight, Operation Racket, and the vast majority of the sabotages in NCR controlled territory. I don't know how much of this the NCR is actually aware that he is responsible for, but they do have a poster that straight up has his face on it, proclaiming that "If you steal equipment, tools and personal property than you are his bitch". So it seems clear and known that he is an extremely important part of the Legion. I don't believe that Vulpes ever actually introduces himself and says his name during the Nipton interaction so the player character has no way of knowing the significance of who they just killed. The only hint you get in the area is on the mayors terminal talking about how the Legion contact called himself Mr Fox. But when you report back to Ghost there is no option to say you eliminated the Legion presence remaining in Nipton, only that they razed the town. Apparently his corpse is supposed to disappear if you kill him in Nipton but I fast traveled back to the Mojave Outpost and when I came back through it was still there. Even if you couldn't tell them exactly who you killed, shouldn't the NCR be able to send someone to check the corpses? (If you could actually tell them what you did) Wouldn't Vulpes be considered a high priority target? Besides Ghost saying she's gonna be even more paranoid now that she knows that the Legion were so close, and that they destroyed Nipton, no one else in the Mojave Outpost even comments on it. Jackson has a history of strictly not acting without orders, so it's possible he wouldn't send anyone to check anyway, but as far as I can remember he doesn't comment on it either. As far as I know the only one who comments on it in the story is the guy who gives you the token of Caesar's favor in his place, and Caesar himself. I've always felt that killing Vulpes and the rest of the Legion presence in Nipton should've been more notable and given at least some positive NCR reputation, but does anyone in the NCR ever acknowledge what happened? Do they even know what happened? Is the NCR aware of just how important Vulpes is to the Legion? [link] [comments]

Best way to play FNV on Ubuntu? Posted: 30 Apr 2020 09:53 AM PDT So, I remember fiddling a lot to play Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas on Ubuntu a few years ago, but it was very error prone and I never managed to get any of the modding programs to work. In 2020, what's the best setup to run FNV on Ubuntu? Wine? Proton? Steam version or not? Which mod managers work well, if any? I'm currently running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. I'll probably upgrade to 20.04 LTS soon, but I'm not in a massive hurry. [link] [comments]

GI Blues- do I have to kill the NCR? Posted: 30 Apr 2020 06:17 AM PDT I'm doing the G.I. Blues quest and I've gotten to the bit where I meet Pacer in the bus stop and he tells me to kill the NCR Troopers. I didn't speak to the person at the Mormon fort and I can't do it now. Is there anyway I can do this without killing the troopers? If I kill them will it effect my chances of siding with the NCR later? I've already got good karma with them. [link] [comments]

People that say caravan is unrealistic and poorly thought out are looking at it wrong Posted: 30 Apr 2020 02:35 AM PDT You need to think of it like yugioh and not a traditional card game. You have a basic starter deck which is good enough to get by but you can collect stronger cards to build a better strategy. Still unbalanced as fuck though but it makes more sense. Was anybody else disappointed you couldn't put The King in charge of the Mojave? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 03:31 PM PDT The King's were by far my favourite faction in FNV. As a huge Elvis fan already they appealed to me but when you actually interact with them they're by far the best faction IMO. The King himself is a fair, kind man who cares for his people and what's more, the people where he lives. Furthermore he's kind to animals and has promoted a philosophy that everybody should live by. To treat people fairly, to care and help those who need it and to dress and style your hair in an awesome way. I've always been an Independent player but only because the Kings weren't available to put into power. I'll be honest when I say the basis of their society is better than NCR or Legion or House. Anybody else disappointed you couldn't put them in charge or just me? [link] [comments]
