The best thing about playing New Vegas on PC

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 08:16 PM PDT

Is that you never have to decide when to stop playing, because the game decides for you. When it crashes.

The PIPBoy as a gaming mechanic is pretty neat.

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 10:48 PM PDT

As the title suggests, it's a small, subtle, yet (I believe) pretty important game mechanic that not a whole lot of other games utilize. The menu is essentially attached to your character's wrist, allowing for you know.. immersion and whatnot. It makes it appear as though, not only yourself, but your character too is browsing through their inventory. It was just a thought, but it sure beats scrounging inventory by a less detailed method that takes you "out-of-character", so to speak. Metro Exodus does this perfectly as well with the backpack inventory system.

In IRL would you rather get abducted and fight your way through a Mothership Zeta ship or survive in your local town/city that Tunnellers have infested?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 02:03 AM PDT

The Zeta ship has a teleporter that will take you back safely if you fight your way out.

For the Tunnellers you have to survive for 3 months.

Both incredibly unlikely survival rates but I'm curious what you guys would prefer.

What should I play now that I finished FO3 and FNV? Btw my pc isn't good enough to play FO4.

    Edit: offline older games

Does anyone know if you can steal your stuff back from Elsdragon in Fallout New California?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 01:23 AM PDT

I feel like I've searched the entire base, haven't found any crate or container that has my stuff in it. Is the only way to get your things back to join the raiders?

Does anyone know of a good storytelling podcast to listen to while playing?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 12:39 AM PDT

I want to replay Fallout 4 again and I was wondering if there is a good storytelling podcast to listen to through Spotify. Im partial to Welcome to Nightvale and their offshoots, but Im hoping to vary it out, play a few different stories between shows.

Any suggestions would be great, but preferably if theyre available on Spotify, I like the convenience of playing it through my PS4

    Fallout New Vegas

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 08:49 PM PDT

I feel like it's super underrated. Personally I think it's one of the best fallout games but it doesn't ever seem to get any love. Anyone agree?

Are there any high official ranking vault tech employees still alive?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 10:17 PM PDT

I mean, they build all these vaults for nuclear fallout. They have the ability to freeze people. Surely there must be some high ranking officials still alive?

Need help with heals and early game

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 03:50 AM PDT

I've been stuck at corvega assembly plant for about an hour now with no progress but that's because i'm out of healing items and even when i leave and travel back to sanctuary i still have no idea where to get any. I have plenty of bottle caps but no idea where to buy stuff. Also my power armour is stuck out of charge back in sanctuary and i have no idea how to charge it and even if i did idk how i'd get it all the way over to corvega. Any advice?

How far can i go in each faction questline before i lock myself from the other factions in new vegas?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 11:57 PM PDT

My one critique of Fallout New Vegas v. Mainstream Fallout games.

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 07:55 PM PDT

No. Its not the buggy gameplay, reused assets, game breaking glitches, mods, etc. None of that. Its something we've all either glossed over or simply pushed to the side as an acceptable casualty.

No no, Im talking about Random Encounters. That was what buttered my biscuit with any new playthrough. Hundreds of different encounters in dozens of areas that could either make you laugh, cry, or simply say "wtf?".

Fallout 3, 4, hell, even the Elder Scrolls series has them, little dollops of randomness in each game that made every journey special in its own way.

But what do we get with Fallout New Vegas? The occassional, oversaturated Legion/NCR hit squads that only came into play after a certain amount of reputation was acquired. It got old, fast.

It was so bad that I eventually memorized every spot where a hit squad would spawn, and instead of igniting curiosity and amusement, my eyes would glaze over and Id yawn as I gunned down each NPC with relative ease.

Its boring. I dont like it. People say Fallout New Vegas is god-tier and it is, but its so lackluster in this regard that I see so many people saying they're burnt out and I gotta wonder: What if we had random encounters in FNV? would it bring people back?

That is my chief complaint. No random encounters makes any RPG boring and dull after 4000 hours of gameplay.

    Fallout on Gameboy

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 03:20 AM PDT

Can someone who's good with programing please make a homebrew fallout game on the Gameboy, or the GBA I've always thought that would be a really fun game, or even the holotape games we get in game, those would be cool to have exactly like that from in game

Would areas of Boston have become flooded/lost due to reclaimed land returning to the sea

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 03:13 AM PDT

I ask this question because while Bethesda could not add such a feature as it would likely have made the game tedious (as you would have to swim to get to most of the major locations) and also stop settlements like Diamond City existing it would have been quite cool if this was included particularly given how they added swamps around Quincy showing the growth of the Blue Hills reservation area.

Aight, I’m pissed at the Creation Engine.

I HAVE LEFT PARK STREET STATION 17 TIMES, AND I HAVE NOT GOTTEN LESS THEN A BLOCK AWAY BEFORE THE GAME EITHER CRASHED OR FROZE AND IT'S MAKING ME WANT TO TEAR MY FUCKING CONTROLLER IN HALF!!!

Lowkey though. I'm using a lot of mods, but the fact the a game that is meant to be used with mods can't handle mods pisses me off. Fuck central Boston in 2287x

I want a Fallout game set in Texas!

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 12:10 AM PDT

What do you guys think of a Fallout game set in Texas? I always thought about it because I really want one. Not the brotherhood of steel games but a Canon one. Maybe for once not have The brotherhood of steel or super mutants and have entirely original factions.

    Happy now Mod bot!
