How difficult is it to purify water?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 11:04 PM PDT

I assume that it is easy(ish) and that in the original games the value of water didn't come from it's purity but the fact that it was water and the game takes place in the middle of an arid wasteland without fast forms of transportation. I thought about this because of f76 and the water purifiers you can build in that and f4.

Are there any thermonuclear devices in fallout?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 02:42 AM PDT

Title. I get the impression that most nuclear weapons in fallout are WW2 era atom bombs since I heard from a video( Can't remember since it's been a while ) that they didn't invent thermonuclear weapons and just sticked with creating bigger atomic bombs. Did they mention any in the fallout bible or those old game manuals from the first 2 games?

Are all active Vaults experiencing the same issues as Vault 81?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 06:47 PM PDT

When you go to Vault 81 in Fallout 4, one of the first things you find out about the vault is that due to its age, it's in complete disrepair and needs to be constantly maintained. Vault 81 may be the only still functioning vault in the Commonwealth but it's far from the only working vault in the world. My question is, do vaults like Vault 101 have the same issues? Calvin in Vault 81 mentions that problems only started cropping up in the past few years so that might explain why the dwellers of vaults from previous games don't seem as busy as the dwellers in Vault 81.

What do the children of atom believe?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 08:59 AM PDT

Hello people. I have a question.
I have never understood the children of atom. In fallout 3 I saw them as a selfdestructive weird cult killing themselves with radiation for no clear reason.

Now they have made it so that some children are actually immune to radiation. This was a great change in my eyes because it now makes scenes that the children of atom love radiation. It is a safe space from other humans.

I still do not understand what their religion is about. They want to die in a nuclear blast to ascent and believe that this will change atoms in new worlds. Thats about all I understand.

Can someone fill me in on the details?

    What made the Glowing Sea?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 09:15 AM PDT

Or actually, how does it still exist? I mean I understand that a nuclear strike is catastrophic, but the conditions found in the Glowing Sea don't make sense. DC for example, was one of the cities hit the most by the bombs but it looks way better than the Glowing Sea, which was hit by a single high-yield bomb. Was the warhead some kind of dirty bomb meant to spread radiation or is there another explanation?

Do Feral Ghouls have survival instincts?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 11:43 AM PDT

During Fallout 4, Initiate Clarke mentioned that during the Battle For Boston Airport the ghouls retreated, still the BoS gunned them down. But that does raise some questions:

1)When the BoS reached the airport for the first time, is there any possibility that these ghouls weren't ferals? Could they be in an intermediate state between normal and feral? We know that the Brotherhood considers them to be abominations. So they wouldn't hesitate anyway.

2)If this is not the case and they were Ferals, does this mean they retain their intelligence or at least some trace of it?

3)Though these ghouls killed Knight Rylan, they seemed to be "pacified" in a sense by eating proper food. Does that mean they can be non hostile or at least not aggressive, provided that they are contained in an enclosed space with food?

What is the Backstory of Vault 94 in Fallout 76?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 06:19 AM PDT

I'm really interested in the vaults in the fallout universe but since the vault raids are closing soon I still have had no luck finding out what the story is behind this vault and I want to know what experiment was happening there and why the vault is all overgrown with strangler vines and creatures. Please help!
