One thing fallout 4 did exceptionally well. Posted: 11 Mar 2020 06:25 PM PDT The companions. They felt very real, unlike previous games where they're just almost silent all the time. In fallout 4, they comment on things. They engage in a conversation. Even if it's small. They do stuff. For example I went to the bar in diamond city with piper and she said excuse me, then talked to some random dude. It just makes it feel more better when this stuff happens. [link] [comments] |
I think the radio has become a very important part of the fallout games now. Posted: 11 Mar 2020 06:02 AM PDT Whether your out patrolling the Mojave or destroying scorch beasts in Appalachia I think almost everyone can agree how important the radio has become. Each game has a soundtrack that just fits. Blue moon and civilization becoming many people's favorites. Oh and the DJ's don't even get me started on our capitol wasteland disk jockey as well as our good old friend mr new Vegas. We all have fond memories of hearing a tune out in the wasteland while shooting deathclaws. Got any favorites everyone? [link] [comments] |
When in the future do you actually expect that we'll hear anything Fallout 5 related? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 11:42 PM PDT Fallout 5 is pretty obviously at the backend of Bethesda's priorities right now. All their attention is likely focused on Starfield and TES6, with F5 probably in the concept phase. Not to mention with the reception that F76 has, they probably don't want to really touch Fallout for the time being. With that in mind, when do you figure down the line we'll get our first official info on it? I myself am giving it a minimum of 6 years, likely longer. [link] [comments] |
would this work if I already completed reunions while i didn't do any recon team quests? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 06:06 AM PDT |
If Colonel Autumn was born in the Enclave Oil Rig, then that means he's an inbred, right? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 05:53 AM PDT |
[Fallout 4] pre-bomb house, where's the pet, in theory? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 12:14 AM PDT In the beginning of fallout 4, theres a dog or cat dish in the kitchen but no pet. What do you think? [link] [comments] |
Fallout 3 is the most depressing fallout (spoilers) Posted: 11 Mar 2020 11:11 PM PDT You try to find the solution to the tenpenny tower problem that is not racist and not violent. When you return all residents are dead except the ghouls. You save Big Town, teach them to fix robots, and then they are all gone. Just lonely sentry bots patrolling around empty houses. [spoiler]In the original game, the best ending is that you die.[/spoiler] Your companions constantly die. For me, Underworld was the worst. Greta, Crowley, Azrukhal, all dead, for fucking T-51b power armor and a decent companion. There's probably more but this is all I can think of right now. [link] [comments] |
Small, but important difference between Bethesda and Obsidian Posted: 11 Mar 2020 09:23 PM PDT In Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 radio DJ knows your character, he directly references it and comments most your action. In Fallout New Vegas DJ don't know you just as you him, and he mostly talks about what happend after your actions with no mentions about you, showing that courier is important, but not center of the world. Posted: 11 Mar 2020 08:39 AM PDT If you were companion with Nick you know that he knows every single poem ever but all of them are sad. Ex. in front of general atomics international, after you destroy The Nucleus and many others. Maybe it is because of his tone. [link] [comments] |
Stuck after Spoils Of War and cant progress Posted: 11 Mar 2020 11:50 PM PDT I just finished the spoils of war mission and I was expecting a marker to pop up but nothing happened, looked up what I was supposed to do tried to speak to Proctor Ingram and all she gave me was her same old spiel she always give. I've tried doing a few side missions but nothing triggers the main story. I'm still able to get into the railroad and everyone's still alive. My last save that would've been before spoils of war was like 2 days ago and I'd lose a lot of progress to go back, is there any way I can progress or am I stuck having to load my earliest save? What would happen if your main FO3, NV and FO4 characters met? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 05:27 AM PDT While responding to a thread regarding which faction was best for the wasteland, I had a thought in mind that I felt like asking everyone here - especially those RP heavy folks. If your main PC from all three installments were to meet, where would they meet and what would be the outcome? Remember that your FO3 character would have aged ten years, NV character would have aged six years before they could meet the Sole Survivor (assuming, of course, you stuck with the canon start.) extra flavour if you have a noteworthy (forty-six years older) character from FO 2 that would be present [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Mar 2020 05:43 PM PDT Just a joke I thought of, but if the world were to turn to a Fallout-esque wasteland, with the way things are going, toilet paper will become the new currency. [link] [comments] |
There is a really useful glitch with companion that make him have unlimited space in his pocket Posted: 12 Mar 2020 04:53 AM PDT So the glitch is really useful when you have a big stack of a object because if it is all single object it can be really long. So all you do is drop the stack on the ground and ask your companion to pick it up and now you can make him transport way over his weight limite. (Idk if the glitch is new or a really easy to discover. I juste think that it might help a couple of player) [link] [comments] |
Buying Power Armor parts - possible anywhere? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 04:52 AM PDT Due to the levelling system I seem to have bypassed some PA pieces. I'm level 54 and I still don't have a single complete suit of t-60 or x-01 power armor - and the latest Frame I found was a complete t-51 suit of which I have several... Do I have to console command the pieces into my inventory or can I guarantee them somehow? I know you can find a complete suit in the Automatron DLC but I haven't started that yet [link] [comments] |
Got any humiliating death stories? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 07:04 PM PDT I was just messing around on FO3, playing on Very Easy, and went up to Minefield as part of Moira's scouting quest. Wasn't as careful as I could have been with the mines and wound up with only a tiny scrap of health and no stimpacks. But hey, it's on Very Easy, so no biggie. I'll just go into this house and look for some supplies. The house had a bunch of radroaches in it, so I started idly picking them off with a pistol, but I was so busy being cocky that failed to notice one sneaky bastard coming up behind me. So yeah, that's how I got killed by a radroach on Very Easy difficulty. Who can top that? [link] [comments] |
Jules won’t tell me about the poisoned jet in new Reno Posted: 12 Mar 2020 04:46 AM PDT I'm trying to find out who murdered Richard Wright and I found the empty jet canister but when I went to Jules he wouldn't tell me it was laced with poison. I don't really want to suffer the -5 karma from digging up Jules grave how do I get myself out of this situation [link] [comments] |
Finally made Primm Slim the sheriff of that town Posted: 11 Mar 2020 09:50 AM PDT I've played the game many ways over the years, but this is the first time I've ever made Primm Slim the sheriff of Primm. Mostly just trying to wander about this playthrough, and stumble through whatever I come across. After initially heading east, hitting Hidden Valley, and then heading south to where I could go east again, I found the Ceasars safe hiding spot and circled west again, found a bunch of radscorpions and nightstalkers that just about killed me. All of which is to say, I really still enjoy this game, and I can't believe I've never made Primm Slim sheriff of Primm before. Can't wait to see what's next! [link] [comments] |
PSA: If you're playing Fallout 4 on an RTX 2080, turn OFF Weapon Debris Posted: 11 Mar 2020 05:35 AM PDT Pretty standard solution for certain crashes BUT! Remember that each instance of MO2 uses its own .ini files that the changes need to be applied to. Or alternatively you can tell it to use the standard ones. At any rate, that problem was driving me up the wall for hours and figured it might be of use to someone else too. [link] [comments] |
New Vegas: Lonesome Road failing to load areas Posted: 11 Mar 2020 06:32 PM PDT In my most recent couple playthroughs, Lonesome Road as well as Dead Money have completely failed to load entire cells correctly, leaving me in an almost empty worldspace. I'm 100% certain it's a load order/general mod conflict, but I haven't had any help from FNVedit or quick autoclean. LOOT and Vortex have also been completely ignoring the issue. 0 0 FalloutNV.esm 1 1 DeadMoney.esm 2 2 HonestHearts.esm 3 3 OldWorldBlues.esm 4 4 LonesomeRoad.esm 5 5 GunRunnersArsenal.esm 6 6 ClassicPack.esm 7 7 MercenaryPack.esm 8 8 TribalPack.esm 9 9 CaravanPack.esm 10 a The New Bison Steve Hotel.esm 11 b More Perks.esm 12 c More Perks for Honest Hearts.esm 13 d SolidProject.esm 14 e oHUD.esm 15 f Companion Core.esm 16 10 RobCo Certified.esm 17 11 More Perks for Dead Money.esm 18 12 More Perks for Old World Blues.esm 19 13 WMVM.esm 20 14 FCOMaster.esm 21 15 Advanced Recon Tech.esm 22 16 Project Reality Footsteps.esp 23 17 FCO - NPC Changes.esp 24 18 MaxCasinoWinnings.esp 25 19 AAM.esp 26 1a Roberts_NewVegas.esp 27 1b More Perks for Old World Blues Update.esp 28 1c More Perks for Dead Money Update.esp 29 1d Advanced Recon Riot Gear Helmet.esp 30 1e Diagonal movement.esp 31 1f Asurah_LeatherGloves.esp 32 20 Weapon Retexture Project.esp 33 21 Asurah_reanimation.esp 34 22 Clanf_NoWeaponsRemove.esp 35 23 NVDLC04 Allegiance w Duster.esp 36 24 The Weapon Mod Menu.esp 37 25 WeaponModsExpanded.esp 38 26 WMX-DLCMerged.esp 39 27 WMX-ArenovalisTextures.esp 40 28 EMR-StealthSuitMkII.esp 41 29 FCO - GlowingOne.esp 42 2a FCO - Roberts Patch.esp FCO - Russell.esp 43 2b B42 RWMS.esp 44 2c Readius_NV.esp 45 2d CASM with MCM.esp 46 2e Quickthrow.esp 47 2f LFox Missing Ammo Recipes ALL DLC.esp 48 30 More Perks Update.esp FCO - OHSB NPC Edits.esp 49 31 The Mod Configuration Menu.esp 50 32 WEATHER RUDY ENB.esp 51 33 AK_AR15WP.esp 52 34 DLCCompanions_1_3.esp 53 35 AtomicWranglerCrier.esp 54 36 More Perks for Honest Hearts Update.esp 55 37 NewVegasExtendedMapMarkers.esp 56 38 inquisition.esp 57 39 INDRAD.esp 58 3a Conelrad 640-1240.esp 59 3b 1nivVSLArmors.esp 60 3c zzjayHairsFNV.esp 61 3d The Groovatron NV.esp 62 3e M1A.esp 63 3f Skip DLC - Dead Money.esp 64 40 Follower Home Marker.esp 65 41 F4NVAnti-Material Rifle - Complete.esp 66 42 F4NVAnti-Material Rifle - Basic.esp 67 43 F4NVAnti-Material Rifle - Moddable.esp 68 44 Faster Terminals.esp 69 45 HuntingRevolver&Sequoia.esp 70 46 ItemBrowser.esp 71 47 JIP Fast-Travel Anywhere.esp 72 48 JIP Improved Recipe Menu.esp 73 49 JIP MiniMap.esp 74 4a JustDynamicCrosshair.esp 75 4b Mannequin Rce.esp 76 4c Max Level 100.esp 77 4d NRGconversion.esp 78 4e PerkEveryLevel.esp 79 4f Quick Trade.esp 80 50 RobCo Certified Friendly Hit Fixer.esp 81 51 ZoomingScope.esp 82 52 m16 (replacer version).esp 83 53 WeightlessAmmo.esp 84 54 Real Recoil.esp 85 55 B42Inertia.esp 86 56 DYNAVISION 3.esp 87 57 DK_BulletTime_NV.esp 88 58 WMX-POPMerged.esp 89 59 Advanced Recon Gear.esp 90 5a Advanced Recon Tech.esp [link] [comments] |
Odd question but how did people make it to some of the Vaults? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 01:01 PM PDT In particular I'm talking about vaults like Vault 13 that are just way out from any major population center. There's no way they could have gone from LA to Vault 13 in a matter of minutes. I like to consider myself a fallout lore nerd so I want to know if there's an explanation or if there's is a small degree of handwavium going on. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Mar 2020 08:55 PM PDT I really don't like listening to the radio in fallout. I play these games for hundreds of hours, if I have to hear the same some that many times I'd go fucking nuts. And the music is so loud it overpowers everything else, it doesn't feel like a radio, it feels like I've got too loud earbuds in. At the very least I'd like some options besides classical and 60s, immersion be damned. [link] [comments] |
About to play New Vegas for the 1073682th time, how should I go through this playthrough? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 03:16 PM PDT |
Posted: 11 Mar 2020 10:36 PM PDT I backed House. Kept good relations with the NCR, but told the army to leave (but NCR citizens are welcome to spend their tourist dollars in Vegas). Oliver and Kimball are alive, but their careers are ruined. Hanlon is going to become a senator. Caesar is alive, along with Legate Lanius, Vulpes Inculta, Lucius, etc. Caesar is probably going to die of a brain tumor at some point, but he is currently still alive, maybe giving him a chance to readjust his strategies or maybe the Legion would fall apart after such a big defeat. I am curious how you would see how this situation would play out if ALL major faction leaders survived the end of the game? Would there be more battles, conflicts, sabotage? [link] [comments] |
Will achievements still function if I'm logged out of my PSN Account? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 10:22 PM PDT A possible hack might've occurred to my PSN account 6 hours ago and I have yet to contact PS Support since they are closed for the day. I'm currently grinding some achievements for FO4 and I'm just wondering if I can still get them even though I am not signed in to PSN. Also, if there are any alternate support/s to get my PSN Account back, I'd be very happy to know. Thank you everyone. [link] [comments] |
