Could the brotherhood, or railroad ever find the institute? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 07:01 PM PST The sole survivor kills Kellogg, talks to Virgil, kills the courser, and builds the relay. I could see the brotherhood, sending an army to kill Kellogg but that's where it ends, they wouldn't talk to Virgil because he's a mutant, or probably grab his brain so they couldn't track his memories. Even if they did both, it would take months for the brotherhood to do shutting about the courser because they don't have a pipboy to track his movement. Then the railroad they could send Gloria to kill Kellogg and listen to Virgil, but there is no way Gloria could kill a courser she's designed worse than a courser on purpose. The Minutemen don't seem to care about them. [link] [comments] |
Could mutations acquired by FEV become hereditary? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 06:30 AM PST Like it says on the tin. Super Mutants obviously not, being sterile, but the implication of the Master believing them not to be until informed otherwise might imply the traits would be if not for that In this instance I'm more interested in Psykers. I'm writing a bit of fanfiction and part involves descendents of human members of the Unity. It is unnecessary to the story for them to have Psykers among them but I thought it would add a degree of uniqueness, even if I don't spell it out explicitly in the writing [link] [comments] |
How do people who need glasses survive in the wasteland? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 08:51 PM PST We know that there are glasses scattered throughout the wasteland, but how are they made? Did they really survive 200 years? Or are there optometrists who help with creating prescriptions for people? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Mar 2020 04:49 AM PST I know laser and plasma was the "future" but in FO3 and especially the Alaska DLC it seems conventional ballistics were still the norm. New Vegas's pre war weaponry also seems to confirm this. But in FO4, lasers show up in the prologue. I mean, I know they were military weapons and obviously soldiers used them to some capacity, but were they really common or just testing the way we test lasers and rail guns now? [link] [comments] |
What kind of atrocities/crimes did Joshua Graham commit during his time as Legate? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 06:13 AM PST While I love Joshua Graham character, one cannot deny the fact that he built up reputation of doing some pretty horrible things. The Legion faction itself is guilty of things such as rape, sex trafficking, killing elders, children and women etc. While I think it's open ended whether Joshua commited these crimes specifically, I do think it's fair to say that he was complicit in those crimes. I am interested in hearing your guy's thoughts? Edit: Personally, it doesn't affect my feelings towards the character but it's worth a discussion I think. [link] [comments] |
Power armor lore draft attempt Posted: 04 Mar 2020 09:09 AM PST Here is my attempt to make sense of PA lore, red means not canon. If you have any additions, remarks or other issues with this interpretation please let me know so i can improve it. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/589553800457486357/682650943610945539/PA_lore.png (Also this post got removed twice already just because i'm bad at giving titles to these posts, annoying system imo) [link] [comments] |
In the Mojave Outpost monument, which ranger is the NCR one and which is the Desert Ranger? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 05:01 AM PST Just found out that, if you have enough NCR reputation, both men are supposed to be rangers, only one is a desert ranger and the other one is an NCR ranger. My question is, which is which? [link] [comments] |
Does anyone know the symbolism behind the Followers of the Apocalypse? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 10:32 AM PST I am pretty new to the series. I have only played New Vegas and Fallout 3. And I have watched a few videos on youtube. But one thing I cannot find info on is the symbolism behind the followers. Is the origin of their name and their logo ever mentioned? Here is my theory. Correct me if I am wrong. The followers are known to be well read and know pre-war culture more than most of the wastelanders. Most of them speak latin and have a good understanding in pre-war religious literature. I really think that their name implies that they follow methaphorically the horsemen of the apocalypse and not the nuclear apocalypse. They do not protect, they heal and rebuild. They follow the horsemen and try their best to undo their harm and they are not to fight them. This implies that whatever harm might come in the future, they'll try their best to do the same, and they are not limited to fallout's specific apocalypse. Also their symbol is a cross that strongly resembles a christian cross, only in a "reinforced" version with crossing lines. I am not sure about those added lines (they might imply that this is a "new" form of the ideas with adjusted mentality), but the cross in the cristian culture means self sacrifice and forgiveness. What the followers are known for. I don't want to get into any religion war in the comment section. I just would like to know ehat you guys think of the symbolism behind my favourite fraction. Any thoughts are apprechiated. [link] [comments] |
Did any chems in the Fallout Universe act as antidepressants? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 08:24 PM PST It seems like the Fallout universe has its own version of lsd, steroids and many others. But does it have its own versions of an antidepressant? [link] [comments] |
