- Music in Fallout Universe?
- Why do I always find milk bottles in Fallout but never any milk?

- Why aren't old world coins used as currency anywhere?
Posted: 16 Dec 2019 05:35 PM PST So obviously by playing the games I know that most of the music in the series is either big band/jazz music from the 1940s or even some rock and stuff like that from the 1950s-60s. But I'm curious, is that the only music that exists in the Fallout Universe? Was new music not made after those years? Was new music still made but still fell under that same genre/sound? Or maybe the music was produced later on their universe as opposed to ours? Is there any explication into this or are we just supposed to accept it without questions? [link] [comments] |

Why do all the doctors have vault tec coats? Posted: 16 Dec 2019 03:00 AM PST So in fallout 4 all doctors I see all have one thing in common besides their training, they all have vault tec lab coat. Is this result of them going and finding them in ruins, or did they originally come from vaults? And if so why did they settle so far out in the commonwealth, like diamond city or covenant? Why aren't old world coins used as currency anywhere? Posted: 16 Dec 2019 10:09 AM PST I know the topic of why caps are used as currency has been talked about to death, and I'm familiar with the lore reasons given for that, but it always seemed a bit odd to me that everywhere in post-war America, no matter how isolated from one another, EVERY settlement just unanimously agreed: Bottlecaps. I understand the Hubbucks situation, and the new robo-vendor justification given in 76... but did the old world just not produce change in the Fallout universe. It's pretty well established that the wasteland inhabitants value anything that is reminiscent of the old world, so why wouldn't they find any value in these metal coins that have to be laying everywhere? They have cool little symbols and strange words representing the old USA, they are way less awkward to carry around than friggin bottlecaps, and a lot of them even have a value spelled out on them! I can accept why a localized area may adopt something like caps, but why in the old world blues would everyone just ignore these coins like they're not there? Has this ever been addressed anywhere in lore? [link] [comments] |
