Posted: 31 Oct 2019 05:27 PM PDT The boomers are so far removed from the affairs of the Mojave, it seems pointless to recruit them, especially because their loyalty lies with the courier instead of with the respective faction. Like, if the factions were scared of what the isolated boomers could do, why are they perfectly ok with boomers with air superiority wildly bombing Hoover dam in the name of the courier who may or may not be treacherous. Seems like they're putting all their eggs in one basket with that one. [link] [comments] |
What cause Pre War currency to inflate? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 05:56 AM PDT Anyone who's played fallout will tell you first hand that everything was expensive. Money became so worthless that finding a stack of bills in the trash was commonplace. I personally think that inflation wasn't the problem. It was the country's reliant on expensive metals like uranium and plutonium. Any thoughts? Edit: Bonus Question Why did the American people cope so well with the absurd economy. [link] [comments] |
Why Do Intelligence Levels Differ so Greatly Between Western and Eastern Mutant? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 10:00 PM PDT In Fallout 1, the Super-Mutants establish an entire well performing organization and gain respect by many, and in comparison, Super-Mutants in Washington D.C. can quite frankly barely speak! Mutants are created via the Forced Evolutionary Virus, but is there a differentiation in the process or is it just a totally different form of FEV across the U.S.? [link] [comments] |

Why does only some nuclear mass have a semi realistic half life when others in the game don't? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 10:38 PM PDT I am well aware that fallout is a game, so realism is put on hold in order to allow players to enjoy the material. Is there a reason why some nuclear masses dont have much of even a remotely realistic half life, but others do. Here is a sbort list Falliut 76: Nukes only affect an area for 3 real hours. I think this is less than a day of in game time. Fallout: New Vegas - in the lonesome road dlc, you donate more than 2 dozen warheads. Almost none of them produce an effect lasting more than a few minutes. However 3 quest related ones do. Fallout 3+: Mini nukes don't affect an area besides what target they hit. Fallout 4: none of the nukes liberty prime use cause any radiation effect. All fallout games: there are places where the bombs fell, and the place has been super irradiated for hundreds of years. This is so long that it literally caused species to evolve in order to not only live in the radiation safely, but to actually gain positive mutations and even heal directly from being in it. Is there an actual reason why only some nuclear material has such a short half life, yet clearly most if what you see in the series clearly doesn't? [link] [comments] |
Could the "Cloud" found in the Sierra Modre be a modified form of FEV? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 10:28 PM PDT The actual chemical composition of the cloud is unknown but compared to standard FEV their effects are similar. Both can cause mutations on long exposure and is fatally toxic in large doses. Even BIG MT doesnt have records on what exactly the cloud is. Knowing that MT dabbled in military technology, would it possible they created a blood red FEV strain? [link] [comments] |

Is it explained on how the Legion prints their currency? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 01:15 PM PDT I've been replaying NV and found myself wondering how the Legion gets all this silver and (in rare cases) gold for their coins? Do they have mines and refineries? Or do they scavenge pre-war components? On what scale are these coins being printed and how widely used are they? [link] [comments] |
