Who is the old man mentioned in Kellogg’s memories? Posted: 30 Jul 2021 03:02 PM PDT Do we know who the previous leader of the institute is? Kellogg mentions in the memory of his house that the old man wanted Shaun, who obviously was the real Shaun. [link] [comments] |
How canon is Fallout: The Board Game ? Posted: 30 Jul 2021 11:06 PM PDT Im considering buying It, but I have so many unanswered questions about this game. It contains some locations we see in the main games, like Diamond City, but there are some locations featured that we havent seen in the main games (such as Vault 84). In addition, the New Califonia expansion includes Tycho and the NCR ranger at the same time, which makes no sense, seeing how there's nearly a hundred years between Tycho's appearance in Fallout 1 and the Rangers being absorbed into the NCR. Why does the SRB (Synth Retention Bureau) exist? Posted: 30 Jul 2021 05:31 AM PDT The institute creates new synths at a rapid rate, why waste resources on finding old synths when they can manufacture them so quickly? [link] [comments] |
Why did Caesar join the Followers of the Apocalypse? Posted: 30 Jul 2021 12:13 PM PDT He's basically the embodiment of the exact opposite of what the Followers espouse. He believes the strong should dominate the weak. He's against technology (unless its an auto-doc to save his own life of course). He against women being anything other than breeding tools, despite the Followers having women in leadership roles. He uses a militaristic old-world society as the model for his Legion. Is it ever explained what led him to joining? Or did he have some extreme change of heart while being in the Followers? I don't think that's likely since he was a member all the way up to the time he was captured by the Blackfoot tribe. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jul 2021 06:39 PM PDT To clarify, it has been 26 years since the bombs dropped in Fallout 76, so majority of the inhabitants are pre war citizens. So why has the concept of West Virginia been ditched for just "Appalachia"? Additionally, we know from Meg's travels that she has been to the Commonwealth:
So why would the concept of Massachusetts be ditched after 26 years? While I understand that officially Massachusetts is The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I don't understand why it's just The Commonwealth. Pittsburgh is already being referred to as The Pitt in 2103, so was the post war dysphoria so bad that people just came up with nicknames this quickly after the war? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jul 2021 01:09 PM PDT In one of his affinity dialogues, Deacon warns us to always question what kind of world an organization wants to build, and how they plan on paying for it. That brings up a really important question: how does the Railroad fund its operations? The other major factions in FO4 have fairly obvious revenue streams. The Brotherhood actively seeks out technology to fund its operations, the Minutemen operate a defense/trade network, and the Institute simply raids the surface for whatever resources it needs. But what does the Railroad do to keep its clandestine operations running? How does it equip and pay its heavies and contacts? How does it pay doctors to preform memory wipes and plastic surgeries? If it somehow benefited from the synths, it would make sense, but its policies almost deliberately make them useless as an asset. The real Underground Railroad operated thanks to a network of wealthy landowners across the South who had a wide variety of reasons, including economic reasons, for undermining the institution of slavery. Does such an organization exist in the Fallout universe, capable of secretly bankrolling an organization like the Railroad? [link] [comments] |
