I'd like to see a future fallout game set in my apartment. Posted: 23 Jul 2021 10:48 AM PDT My apartment is fairly spacious, the possibilities for adventure and exploration are virtually endless. It'd be the perfect setting for a future fallout game. There are tons of little nooks and crannies which can be used to hide away tidbits of lore here and there. Lots of potential for exciting story-telling here. There are tons of different locations to visit: the kitchen, not one but two bathrooms, the bedroom, the loft. This is exactly what we've been asking for years: a varied game map with unique and special locations to visit. The map may not necessarily be as big as the Mojave or the Commonwealth, but that just means we can assign more meticulous detail to each individual location. Quality over quantity is the name of the game boys. Plus, you'll never get lost, or be confused about which quest marker to follow. This is only my personal opinion, but I think my apartment could prove to be a really interesting setting for a future fallout game. I'm tired of boring, monotonous game maps which regurgitate the same basic template. Forget US states, this is where the real opportunity for greatness lies. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2021 06:05 AM PDT So, basically, I was playing New Vegas. A few ghouls attacked me, so thinking nothing of it, I just shot them. Before dying, the last one whispered "Thank you...". This is creepy as hell. Reminds me of Half-Life 2 headcrab zombies. [link] [comments] |
Ghouls do not just "go feral eventually". Posted: 23 Jul 2021 05:26 PM PDT You hear it all the time, "ghouls are all dangerous, they will all go feral eventually." from brotherhood soldiers, wastelands and the like. However this is wrong, and im here to tell you why. The process of a ghoul going feral is a direct result of prolonged/extreme radiation exposure, and without further exposure after becoming a ghoul, they will never go feral but instead just die as their body fails after a significant period of time. You will notice almost all ghouls you interact with (peacefully) throughout the wasteland are the ones who don't actively spend time in irradiated areas but instead live in/spend time around human settlements. On the other hand the most vicious ferals (especially glowing ones) tend to be only in highly irradiated areas like blast zones, dump sites, etc. Its obvious to anyone who has played fallout that radiation and the state of a ghouls physical and mental attributes have a direct cause and effect relationship. Ghouls are naturally immune to radiation and the mutated cells in their bodies are actually healed by it causing their lifespan to be extend vastly, however further exposure to radiation causes extreme disfigurement to the ghouls body as can be observed in bloated ghouls, glowing ones, etc. The longer/more severe the exposure, the faster the ghouls cells mutate, causing the brain to go through severe alterations as well, causing them to revert to baser, more violent instincts i.e. becoming feral. However, without the radiation exposure needed a ghoul does not continue to mutate. Their bodies do decay over time and some mental faculties with it (look at elderly humans) but this isn't the same as going feral. A "young and healthy" ghoul that avoids radiation after transformation has almost no chance of becoming feral. They are just mutated people with prolonged lifespans, not a time bomb waiting to rip everyone apart. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. [link] [comments] |
If you could describe a fallout protagonist in the stupidest way possible.. what would it be? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 08:59 PM PDT for example: UNSTOPPABLE MORON MAKES NUCLEAR WASTELAND NOTICEABLY WORSE[link] [comments] |
Let’s discuss about random topics, except you’re all from Vault 108 Posted: 23 Jul 2021 09:03 PM PDT |
Would you be interested in an isometric remake of Fallout 3 or 4? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 08:05 PM PDT Everybody talks about Fallout 1 and 2 remakes but I'm wondering it there will be a market for isometric versions of the FPS Fallout games. Keep the same stories but change the gameplay to something closer to the original games. With the rise in popularity of games like Wasteland and PoE, I wonder if an idea like this would fly. What if you lived in the commonwealth and learned you were a synth one day? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 04:04 PM PDT Imagine this: You're peacefully sleeping in Diamond City one day. You heard that the Sole Survivor united the Minutemen and the Railroad and eliminated the Brotherhood of Steel and the Institute from the commonwealth. You were able to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that you wouldn't be kidnapped in the night or have the BoS flaunting their power armor around and taking people's guns and crops. Life seems like it's finally looking up for the commonwealth. You hear a knock on the door and groggily get up. The person on the other side introduces themselves as a member of the Railroad. You're confused as to why they're at your door until they say that you're a synth. They bring out a small data pad that has your picture on it with numbers and text that you can't make heads or tails of, but it's proof that you were created by the Institute. How would you react? Fo4: How to unlock any lock first try with cait (100%works on xbox unsure other platforms) Posted: 23 Jul 2021 02:00 PM PDT Ask cait to unlock a lock with no pins on her When she is done complaining about no pins put pins on her She will start to unlock the lock without telling her to twice Instant unlock no broken pins master locks are no obstacle now (If its already known let me know) [link] [comments] |
Fo4. If I put magazines in the workshop do I still get the buffs? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 08:12 PM PDT So I've been playing for a few days now and I'm having a blast. My misc tab is getting quite full. I was wanting to clear it out and I don't think all the magazines will still work if they aren't in my inventory. [link] [comments] |
How do I get Joshua Graham's bandaged armor? Posted: 24 Jul 2021 04:57 AM PDT Are there any mods for it? I used the console but the armor just comes up invisible. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2021 10:55 PM PDT Where can I sell my shit I've got two shotguns I need sold and I can't find anyone to buy em [link] [comments] |
Eye For An Eye/First Sergeant Aster bug Posted: 24 Jul 2021 12:47 AM PDT I irradiated Cottonwood Cove before talking to First Sergeant Aster and I happened to pick up the Legion Patrol Notes and Legion Raid Plans. I wanted to give them to him but the only dialogue options is to say I wiped out the place or maybe later. I also wanted to bug the radio but that ship has sailed. Any mods that'll fix this, or maybe a console command? If not then I'll just mark the two as non-quest items and sell them to an NCR trader. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Jul 2021 04:12 AM PDT Hi, My Fallout 4 game can not run properly. Ive tried running it with and without mods, different versions of the game, FPS fix mods, running f4se loader, different graphics settings and NOTHING makes it run well. Its not capped at 30fps because when looking at the ground its very smooth.. Any ideas would be appreciated. Curren game version 1.10.163.0, Ive tried 1.10.138.0 too. FNV Masters of the Madre question Posted: 24 Jul 2021 04:11 AM PDT I have already cleared the plant of any NPC that was there and did That Lucky Old Sun before I got the mod How do I make the HELIOS objective advance? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Jul 2021 12:12 AM PDT No audio in Fallout 4. I know this has been asked a million times, but I've tried a million things. After the intro, I get no audio. I've changed every setting, tried speakers and headphones, I've looked in my files and there is nothing under "directX" whatsoever. I have checked the files integrity, uninstalled and reinstalled, and done everything under the Fallout Gods son. I dont know what to do to play it. I just finished 90 hours of New Vegas without a hiccup, why is a fresh install of Fallout 4 an issue? [link] [comments] |
I really wish the Legion didn’t rely on melee weapons Posted: 23 Jul 2021 04:43 PM PDT Them sending men armed with throwing spears and machetes to go fight people with rifles just ruins the world building It doesn't make since that they're a big threat to the NCR even tho half of them don't even have guns Sure make them good with melee weapons but not carry them as primary weapons in combat [link] [comments] |
No taxation without representation!! Posted: 23 Jul 2021 11:27 PM PDT For some reason I cannot leave the Concord museum without knocking over all the mannequins. Does anyone else suffer this fetish/compulsion? (Not sure if fetish is the right word as I don't get a boner from doing it, but still wanted to type it) [link] [comments] |
[SPOILERS] What sections of the main story are accidentally skippable in Fallout 3? Posted: 24 Jul 2021 03:01 AM PDT I don't really care about spoilers (I watched a summary of the whole game before I played Fallout 4 because I didn't have an older console to play Fallout 3 at the time). I'm currently heading to find the radio station as part of the main quest. I know that you can skip lots of quests if you just head straight to Vault 112 and find your Dad immediately . I kinda just wanna explore but I'm scared I'll stumble across something that will skip over a large part of the main story later. Help? [link] [comments] |
Something that fallout 3 did amazingly Posted: 23 Jul 2021 06:02 AM PDT Fallout 3 managed to make DC seem huge despite there being not a lot within the city, because they used so many interior cells and walled the city into a corner of the map. Instead of an open city (like fo4) or being able to walk around the perimeter of DC (like you can in vegas), they destroyed the majority of what could've been washington and separated areas into places only accessible by metro, (that being an amazing idea in its own right.) Then they were able to use massive interior cells where they originally wouldn't be able to fit as much. Think about botson common compared to the washington monument. They shrunk the common down to barely anything, while the whole monument area is massive, since it was self contained and not directly accessable from the main wasteland, and therefore had space to be huge In short, they fitted a lot more into a lot less by destroying, splitting up and increasing the size of the city, and i hope they continue this idea in later games, as it would make the map seem way bigger. Maybe this time they could add more areas of the city than there were in fo3 tho🤔 [link] [comments] |
