| Just beat fallout 4 for the first time, loved it, are the DLC worth it ? Posted: 01 May 2021 05:56 PM PDT It had a lot of ups and downs with it. To much to do but also at the same time not enough to do at points I enjoyed a lot of the aspects of the game but I still felt empty at points. I was introduced to the factions of the games and I liked them but everything felt bleak I met the railroad and thought they had a noble cause. Met the brotherhood and thought these guys are lunatics, and finally meeting the institute and thinking holy shit these guys are deranged. But all in all I enjoyed my time in the commonwealth I ended up with the institue of steel ending, and I couldn't shake this feeling that no matter what ending I finished with it would all be bleak and hopeless, and I love that lmfao ngl, absolutely great game, ard the DLC worth it ? Posted: 01 May 2021 09:47 PM PDT I'm here to point out, plasma guns in fallouts 2, and tactics, were drastically superior in design. Though the 2 rifle became the caster in NV, the tactics rifle is visually, if you look at its inventory art, an actual rifle, someone even remade it in 4 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/49201?tab=files&file_id=201018&nmm=1 Fallout 3, NV (because it used assets from 3), and 4 all have a crappy "I made this in my garage as a working prototype" type plasma gun. Though 4's is slightly better I think (or maybe I just haven't seen 3 and NVs recently enough) I head canon it being that its a institute prototype that made its way up above, and powerful factions, like the gunners for an example, manufacture it. Point being, this gun is ugly, despite there being a better design to of worked with, and I needed to state it, I hope most of you noticed as well. [link] [comments] |
| Can anyone justify the Enclave for being the best moral/ethical option? Posted: 01 May 2021 08:40 AM PDT Like the title says I'm curious if anyone can justify them. This is only about the Enclave from fallout 2 and 3 NOT 76. Any reasons why I would be interested to know since like the legion I can't see the bad outweighing the good. Both the enclave in 2 and 3 want to essentially kill all mutants(just doing it in different way) but they miss the essential part that not all mutations are bad. Yes wiping out super mutants, mutated creatures and feral ghouls would be good. on the other hand, non feral ghouls, good mutants like Marcus and Fawkes and every other normal wastelander who are just trying to live their lives will also be killed in the same way. It would be a bit like nuking Afghanistan irl saying" we are just stopping the Taliban by eliminating all possible people that are and could become Taliban members" while also killing everyone else as well. Yes you achieve your goal but at what cost. Anyway I'm curious if anyone can argue this. I did a post a while back on the legion asking if they could be the "better" option however no one could argue that they were so I wanna see if someone can argue the Enclave. I played Nuka-World in Fallout 4, and decided to kill all the raiders and let everyone be free, and after finishing the quest, upon returning to Nuka-Town USA, all the traders/npcs that were there when I started the DLC are all naked. (Well, they have their undergarments on, but you get the idea) only new traders that show up and Sierra Petrovita are not effected by this... Has anyone else experienced this? I'm on PC if it helps. And I do have a bunch of mods, but none of the mods I use are supposed to do that. [link] [comments] |

| Fallout 4 dlc disappearing -xbox 1 Posted: 02 May 2021 02:26 AM PDT Morning, I keep having a problem with various dlc disappearing inside the game. It tends to be vault tec workshop but it's not limited to it. I've not noticed any specific causes, the context just seems to vanish. The content list on the main screen still shows it as installed. The only solution I've found is to uninstall and go again, but I loose all my data for doing so. It's getting infuriating now. Has anyone else found this problem and can point me to a non-damaging fix, or even the cause of it would be nice [link] [comments] |

Posted: 01 May 2021 08:34 PM PDT So I started with trying a melee character, ran out of days and couldn't make it bast the mutants in Necropolis. Tried again with energy weapons and immediately was getting destroyed because of the lack of energy weapons early on. I am now on a small guns character. Well, was on because of running out of days despite buying the extra 100. I have made it to the Brotherhood and have entered the crater once, but no matter what I can't make it past Necropolis. Am I missing something? Is their anything I should know about building my character? I'm convinced small guns seems to be good for a first play through, but past that I'm unsure.
